Thanks for misrepresenting Catholics again. If you want to teach someone about Catholicism, maybe you should use Catholic sources. You should listen to the podcast called Called to Communion with Dr. David Anders. You don’t understand Catholicism you shouldn’t actually talk about it. It’s like spreading lies.
I listen everyday. His spin is one sided and sometimes misleading. He works for EWTN so I understand why he presents the material that way. It’s easy to pontificate when you don’t get live pushback. He also has a habit of not directly answering questions and oversimplifying the reformation. As learned as he is, I wish he had live pushback. Doesn’t have to be a debate format, as he has stated that he doesn’t debate. It’s very easy to speak at parishes and talk about why Protestants are wrong and Rome is right. Rome loves to have former Protestants as apologists as they feel they bring more credibility to their views.
@ I think you misunderstand what his show actually is. It’s a Call In show that is put on a podcast. You could actually talk to him live on the radio. I kind of think that you don’t listen to him because you should know that if you watch or listen to the show. And if it’s so bad then why is the Catholic position misrepresented so badly by protestants who say they know what they’re talking about? He probably is one-sided but that would be the Catholic side as opposed to a protestant side. Why didn’t you ask me what the problem was with this particular video?
@@rickdockery9620 To get to purgatory your sins need to be forgiven. Purgatory isn’t necessarily a place. It could be more like an event and nobody really knows the duration. It could be in the blink of an eye as far as we know. I would assume that in the afterlife time would not work the same way if it even exists at all. Dogmatically there really isn’t a whole lot to know about purgatory just that it exists and that it purifies us so that we’re perfect to enter into heaven or into God‘s presence. Limbo was never a dogma, it was merely a theological opinion and not binding. If you want, I can rewatch the video and write down all the things I see wrong, but I probably wouldn’t be able to get back to you till say tomorrow or so.
@@rickdockery9620 in the confessional, you confess all the sins you can remember. If you truly forgot about a sin, it also gets forgiven. But if you know about this sin and pretend like you forgot about it, that’s withholding information from God and he will know. Of course, he already knows, but withholding It would be bad. Also, you can get your sins forgiven just by telling your sins to God, but the reason you go to a priest might actually be a sort of purgatory. It helps you to be accountable in a more substantial way.
I really like the talks you guys have many blessings!
God bless you, thank you
