Video + Score: • Erik Satie - Gnossienn...
Painting: The Boulevard Montmartre at Night - Camille Pissarro
Music notation/playback: Sibelius Ultimate + NotePerformer 3
The number of times this song made me cry though...
Anyone here from the BBC Production of Hercule Poirot, "5 Little Pigs"?
Everything I imagined & more...
Imagine the movie scores Satie could have arranged had he lived a longer life.
This theme was used in an episode of television show 'Poirot'. It worked really well and really helped creating an atmosphere so I guess you're right!
@@E.C.A.D. I think it was used in an episode of Endeavour as well.
he made music for the short film entr'acte by rené clair in 1924
@@E.C.A.D. Poirot, an Agatha Christie's character?
@@florsilvestre2088 yes
And in the movie Chocolat... Excellent blend with the story of ancient cacao remedial compounds...
so beautiful
Love it!
This is a hard one to arrange for an orchestra since it is a fairly simple piece; and the sound of the piano is kind of ingrained into the feel of the music. BUT, great job. I must try this out myself.
So was in U? Computer or Poulenc? Or 3 in one ? Anyway - keep going, as we still have one Gymn. and five Gn. not orchestrated anyhow... A job to be done!
Is this your orchestration? If so, congrats, its really good. Would love to hear it performed by a real orchestra.
Thanks and yes I orchestrated it but used Poulenc’s orchestration of Gnossienne 3 as a basis.
Is this done on a synthesizer?
Done with NotePerformer, a playback addon for music notation software such as Sibelius.
bro...
..не знаком композитор. Музыка приятная .чуть завораживает. Украина .
So fast
Satie didn't include speed or tempo in his compositions. He left it open for us to enjoy at any speed.
