- Sometimes you just want to increase your rate of hair growth. Hair grows at an average rate of 1/2 an inch per month.
In this video, I share 8 proven ways to stimulate hair growth. These methods have nothing to do with length retention as hair growth is all about what you grow from your scalp and not about how many inches of the growth you retain.
The growth of your hair i typically genetic but there are specifically things you can do to accelerate your genetically determined rate of hair growth.
The methods shown in this video work for most people but if you have any health conditions, you should check with your health providers to determine if they are safe.
With regard to cost, some of the ways that help with hair growth are absolutely free. Others have a small cost associated with them and still others may require you using items you already have - hence they are technically free if you don’t look at it as using something with money that was already spent.
In my next video I will share 8 ways to retain length.

Liquid biotin, collagen, inversion method, scalp massages, rice water, vitamins, exercise, consistent regimen, and protective styling 🙃
Well said, you covered the main ones.
And prayer! 🙏🏾😎😊
I agree with your video on Chebe. It's not just the product. My hair grows like crazy! I did a major chop for the holidays thru Spring. So I started growing it 6mos ago and I already have 5". When I'm ready to start growing my hair back, what helps it grow is *leaving it alone* - lol. I massage my scalp every night, yet only wash once a week followed by my own rice rinse and oil mixture (funnegreek, cloves, nettles, rosemary, sage and bay steeped in x-Virgin olive oil for 7-days - then add raw Lecithin, vite-c and Lavender oil). I put my hair in 4 cornrows so there's plenty of air getting to my scalp and no tension. I put on a wig cap and I'm good to go. I wear head wraps and wigs until it's grown out to about shoulder length (about 9mo). So you really don't need ANY of that fancy stuff. The tips you mentioned - especially staying hydrated, nutrients and aerobic exercise is on point. I do all that as well. Thanks for your time and effort in making these VIDs.
I totally agree!
I was drinking Bamboo tea twice a day for a 2 months and my hair was so "strong". It grew a lot but my hair was so strong that it felt as if it lost elasticity. I didny change my hair routine or products. Bamboo has a lot of silica and it did thicken my hair as well. I had to cut back a bit on the Bamboo tea. But it definitely grows hair. Thanks for sharing ❤
BlessedByHim yeah you was probably over doing it. Lol Maybe a cup every other day?
Girl I don’t know how you drank that twice daily. It tastes like dirt lol
BlessedByHim I love the taste of bamboo tea. Very earthy ☕️. I also love water with lemon 🍋
@@naturallydunn I definitely want to try it now i love earthy tasting things I'm a plain Jane lolol
I am a diabetic. The sugar in my system forces me to be strategic. Scalp massaging is amazing. I use oils that work for my scalp and hair. Alkaline water is the best! I drink Essential. I am so lazy so walking and talking is what I do. Not for hair but for my Type 2 diabetes. I have NEVER heard of bamboo tea (looking that one up!) Thank you for sharing this video! I am not consistent with supplements.
I do A LOT of cardio and I’m sure it’s helping stimulate my hair growth ... I drink a lot of water too 😊
I think this is the first vid I’ve seen with your curls out! They are POPPIN ❤💥❣️
really?? i used to do nothing but wash and go's but the tangling... i save them for summer only and even then i stretch my hair
I agree with your chebe video 💯. the mix just protects the strands from breakage and strengthens the hair but henna does that as well 💯💯
loxena yes and I loves my henna 😍
Your hair looks fabulous 😍😍
Njeri Jolly thank you lovely!
I know this message is late but I like how you keep it real with the viewers.
J B thanks hon 💯
You captured all my attention with the bamboo leaf tea. I'm doing some research now. Thanks a lot for your info.
Avion Orr you’re welcome! It tastes disgusting to me lol
Collagen has dramatically helped me, especially with thickness.
Which Collagen do you use?
Great tips thank you hun !😘 Love 💕 from London!!👋👋 Please do a video on your skin care regiment please!!! You have such beautiful, clear skin!!😍😍
thank you for watching and for all the love! As for my skin, makeup does wonders. I have troubled skin that I'm working on!
Hello 👋🏾❤️ I’m so happy I found you. I watch countless videos and never find anyone with low density hair like myself. I’m at a stump with my hair it’s not growing and I shed a lot of hair. Shedding is annoying because I don’t have a head full of hair in the first place. Now I haven’t been doing a lot of the things you’ve mentioned in this video. I definitely need to get on the ball. Also going to give your twist out a try ❤️😊
It always sounds like you are saying "financial hair and faith" lol. New subbie. I am using the curly proverbz oil, rea rinse, and cassia mask on my fine natural hair. I saw immediate results even whn not being consistent. I plan to be more consistent to get the best results.
SophisticatedJB lol!! That tickled me
That's what I hear too lol
yes haha
Your hair looks great! Very even. I remember when you got the cut last year and said you wanted to grow stronger, more even hair.
Minimal Assembly thanks but ugh it’s an illusion. I grew right back uneven. It likely looks even in the front which is arm out length but the back no. My crown only comes to about my collar bone when the rest goes to bra strap length
I give up. I think the bottom and sides just grow faster than the rest
I’m going to get a trim at Devachan soon....not a deva cur though. I know someone there who does exactly what you want
Minimal Assembly oooh I want to see. Are you on Instagram? When you say Curl Whisperer are you talking about Tameka? She lives in NJ but I know she travels. She did my first cut
Maria Camilla Thiago yes aware of all that but it doesn’t change the outcome. My crown is the most resistant area on my head so it’s he slowest growing. When I was relaxed though it grew with the rest. I used to go to this Dominican salon and this one lady had my hair growing like weeds. Oh well, those were the straight hair days
Minimal Assembly no worries! Heading over to IG now
I love you video. It's straightforward and honest. Thank you!
thank you and thank you for watching :)
i love this lady she gives of so many good vibes😘 sending much love
Caroline Sara 🤗
Good video. I agree it's you on the hair supplements. I've tried MANY. I see the biggest difference when I eat well and drink lots of water.
georgiapeach310 yeah and likely there’s no deficiency so I think it’s really best to get the nutrients from while food
Thanks for watching 😊
Wow, you really gave a lot of good info in this one!! Thank you!
Thanks!
Alkaline water is definitely the BEST water!!! I LOVE it!!!💜
Lindsey Simmons I love it too! My daughter says it tastes too thick lol
Thank you so very much for such excellent advice
You’re welcome 😊 thank you for watching
Your hair has grown out good from your last hair trim at the stylist👍👍💖💖💅💇💅💇💅💇💅💇
Jeekai W thank you. That was definitely items a cut, not a trim. It’s not grown in to my liking either. Going to Devachan next
The comment on alkalinity is progressive and helpful. But please use caution as drinking alkaline water is often overdone. The absolute best way to achieve proper Ph balance is with an alkaline forming diet -- and that means huge amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits which when metabolized leave an alkaline, not acid ash - unlike animal products and grains. You do not need to drink a lot of alkaline water if your diet is highly alkaline. People who regularly drink fresh veggie juices or green smoothies daily do not need to drink alkaline water. Alkaline water taken anywhere near a meal can dilute stomach acid which is necessary to digest food. God put stomach there for important reasons - to break down protein, and as a first line of defense against parasites, bacteria and other pathogens in our food. We have seen people at our clinic who are overly alkaline. Get some Ph strips and test your morning urine to see where you are. The strip should be 6.5-7.5 . If lower, you're probably too acidic. If consistently much higher then you're too alkaline. If your diet is high in animal products, legumes and/or grains, coffee, sodas, processed or fast foods etc., all of which are all acid-forming, you may very well benefit from adding alkaline water to your daily water intake.
Shiva G thanks for the lesson lol I truly didn’t know all of that. I drank it mostly because it tastes so good but I don’t drink it all the time
I’m also on the keto diet so not consuming sugar, grains etc. now I drink sparkling water or water that I out electrolytes in. I feel better than I have in a long time
New subbie, on my hair growth journey and trying the MSM and biotin now. Your hair looks great!
Mshari Swain thank you for subbing and for the compliment !
Hello, I am fairly a new subscriber and I enjoy you sharing. Your hair looks great.
Lizzie Clay hi thank you so much on both accounts
thank you ! your hair looks fantastic btw! awesome advice how long have you been growing it out for?
Rafael Santiago YW Nd Thanks! I got about 7 inches removed in Jan 2017 so since then. It’s almost all back but I’m never cutting that much again. I am in need of a trim though
Thanks Queen for your knowledge!!!👑💞😘
Thanks for this Great Tutorial,
Great tips!
Helpful video 😊 thank you.
Great review
Great video.💕💕💕
Hope your well Michelle! Enjoyed the vid. Hope all is well with your son. When's the surgery? TFS and God Bless!
jrlottery7 hey Thanks! Surgery is 1/29 We have to be there on 1/28 tho
I purchased fennel seed from the local Wal-Mart and have some fenugreek capsules left over from when I was nursing. I was simply going to blend it up. Please tell me if this will give me the same results as taking fenugreek oil?
I honestly dont know. I'm very new to using fenugreek myself and I've never used fennel before. Definitely let me know what your experience is You should try it. Maybe search online for a recipe to create the oil using the capsules. Or if the capsulels can be drained of oil, add them to a mixture with other herbs like henna....i can imagine that will be time consuming though
Great video sis🌹❤️
Klazzact thanks lady!
You lk marvelous and your hair too. When I used castro oil it cause my scalp to itch. I do not put oil on my scalp only on my ends. Where do you get alkaline water from. How does it taste. I tried kick boxing. It did not worked out for me. Maybe because of my age. I lk the trendmill and bike but I am looking for other exercises for my aching muscles. Thanks
thank you! yes the oil can make your scalp itch when you start using it especially. An oil like Jojoba may be better since its very much like the natural serum.
I use grapeseed oil.
I buy the huge gallon of alkaline water called Crystal Geyser water at Family Dollar for $1 dollar
BlessedByHim I didn’t know family dollar had alkaline water. I don’t trust them tho lol
Fine Natural Hair and Faith
Yeah I don't blame you. But I did go online to research the actual company Crystal Geyser and supposedly has the water as alkaline lol. I might just start going to whole foods instead or rite aid pharmacy
Fine Natural Hair and Faith they dont
BUT THIER WATER TASTE SO GOOD
Please help. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some bleach damage. And I figured the master stylist who did all the color-corrections would know how much would be too much. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my hair or touch it. I just don't know what to do. My hair has also NEVER been shorter than this and it breaks and falls out. What should I do to regrow hair?
I think if you have damage from chemicals, you have to address that first by cutting it out slowly. Keep with the deep conditioning and protein treatments. Your hair will grow back as long as the follicles aren't damaged. You just have to be patient. I know that's not what you want to hear :(
Hope your hair has grown bad back and looking and feeling healthy now
Lady you are awesome 🎉
((((Hugs))) thx
Jbco, wildgrowth,African Shea butter, drinking plenty of water
and massage your scalp at least twice a day
Very informative,thanks for sharing
Great tips, I love oils, and essential oils really working on my hair more better this year and going to be taking, super collagen by Neocell, I did some research on it, that some good stuff! Your hair looks full and growing
Lovely Dove girl! I take Neocell’s joint chews daily. I love them. There’s collagen in them too
For cardio I thought you were gonna say "And of course I love... sex!" 🤣
Luckie Bunnie lol dirty mind!
Did you do a follow up video on Chebe- you still using it?
winiver77 not yet and no - I stopped using it. Going to do an update next week before I leave for CJs surgery
mustard seed oil
La Starr Wicks that would work great in a scalp massage
Your hair is beautiful 🤩..
Jamaquina Bella thank you 😀
Fine Natural Hair and Faith You're welcome..😊
Great Vid!!💞👍😊💁very informative...Thanks for da Tips...👛
Curlygirl582 thanks and YW!
Okay I'm just all over the place stressed out by the virus, probably even watch this video before Santa's from 2018 but who knows. I have been looking for bamboo tea for the longest comic where do you find it and do you still drink it?
Nope I don’t drink it anymore. Tea isn’t something I love. They sell it online though
@@FineNaturalHairandFaith I don't know how you understood what I spoke into my phone, it was picking up words from the television as well but thanks. Not much of a tea drinker either but might want to try it for a little while. Okay what next , maybe I'm getting bored as well.
I love peppermint oils however it makes my hair dry, brittle, and feels like a dang Brillo pad so forget that one for me 💕
Righteous Living In Christ Jesus add to hot oil treatment
I started taking msm powder in Orange juice this week, promotes hair grow and smothies of beets carrots ginger etc, I was losing my hair
I haven’t taken MSM internally yet. I only use it in my hair growth oils but will definitely keep this in mind Thanks
Off topic... checking in how is CJ and how are you?
StopDropnRollon hey Robin Thank you for checking on us. He’s doing ok. I’ve kept him out of school since December. Surgery is next Monday. I will be posting an update this weekend
Fine Natural Hair and Faith okay! Im still thanking God for his faithfulness regarding everything and everyone that comes in contact with you all before during and after the procedure.. big hugs !!!
Try taking Country Life's Maxi-Hair Maximized vitamins. I found them at my local Vitaminshoppe. They really helped my hair grow and with minimal to no breakouts.
Carrean T sounds good. I’m careful to now only take non GMO sourced supplements with no artificial anything in them. Hence I would never again use Natures Bounty
Fine Natural Hair and Faith did you see any growth with the BioSchwartz brand?
Hahaha, drinking Trader Joe's now. Also Essentials is good too. Proper breathing leads to a more alkaline body too...
ejnvids really? I did t know that. One more thing to get right about my life lol
Rain see nutrition or AIM C24/7 supplements are great !!!
I regrew my hair and you can too. -I've been bleaching my hair on and off since forever. My hair wouldn't grow any longer it would just snap off. I've dreamed about having thick, long hair. And when I say dreamed, I mean it quite literally. So I decided to do something about it. My friend suggested Biotin when we were talking about my hair loss. I’ve tried like 4 different brands until I found that the best one for me. For me the best is www.certifiedbiotin.com my friends also use this one.
Honestly damage that severe can not be repaired. I had a very experienced stylist tell me once that you should never lift your hair color more than two shades from it’s natural color.
I bleached once before and no matter how much I deep conditioned I had to cut and just grow it out
