i just want a cheap, but good tablet to read mangas and light novels. The important stuff is a significantly bigger screen than my phone and lasts long. this is a very strong contender
im currently using it. it's nice and can play any games smoothly. i can draw too. it's a good device for studying. you can use cheap capacitive touch stylus. it's great with the price of the tablet where with the same spec other brands would cost several more. 3 months in, i dont have any issue with lag or anything. downside? not obvious I guess because I've been using fine. small cons might be the tab not truly intuitive. you have to look for a tutorial online to know where's what and no handwriting to text support which would help a lot for studying and the device is too overprotective where I have to wait 10secs and give permission every time i want to use auto clicks for game. overall, I don't regret buying this tablet even though ppl said just add some more you can get xiaomi pad 6 which in my opinions still too early to invest on that tab thats new with in-built pen tech. plus its not add just some more. in my country its 500 price difference. i could use less money than the remaining from buying redmi pad se to buy decorations stuff.

Hi sir, can u recommend which one is better, Lenovo M10 Plus (3rd Gen) or Redmi Pad SE? Using for more on productivity and as e-file for my business..means wanted to show the document to clients..TQIA sir..please help me
Hi, I don’t have any personal experience with the Lenovo M10 Plus but I do know from other devices that Lenovo tablets are very well built for productivity and for that case alone I would recommend the Lenovo tablet, but for viewing documents solely that the Redmi Pad SE will suffice for that
Hi, great review thank you! I want this tablet for my master's so basically writing on slides, taking notes with a pen, and reading chapters. And other basic stuff like Netflix, Instagram, and so on. I don't have a high budget so I was wondering if the 4GB version will be enough or do I need higher versions? And also would it be hard to take notes with no stylus support? Thanks in advance
Hi, sorry for delay in responding. I think for your use case the tablet would be fine, 4GB is okay for a little bit of multitasking but anything intense and you’d be better or with higher RAM. The 3rd party pen I used was okay but not the most accurate and there was a bit of lag but you would be able to take basic notes. The basic stuff like instagram and Netflix the tablet would be absolutely fine with.
Hi, I am assuming you would need a stylus for digital art? If this is the case then in my opinion you would not be getting the best experience with a stylus with this tablet, although they do work, 3rd party stylus’ have quite a bit of ‘lag’ and are very limited in functionality ( for example: no palm rejection, unless you wear a glove). A tablet with a dedicated stylus would be better for your use case.
@@typicaltechlad this is noted, I should choose and buy its own stylus pen or a xiaomi compatible pen. Thanks again! more powers to you and your channel ❤️

Hi, in the example in the video I used the built in notes app. My palm was registering on the screen as I was writing. Only way to get palm rejection, as far as I am aware, would be to use the 2 finger glove that comes with 3rd party stylus
You can check out my comparison video I did of the 2 tablets. Screen resolution wise they are quite closely matched, only main difference is the 90Hz on the Redmi Pad SE and the 120Hz on the HONOR Pad X9. Both are good for watching movies and media consumption in general
Hi, I’m not entirely sure about keyboard as there aren’t any ‘dedicated’ connection pins on the tablet so I would assume you would need a universal Bluetooth keyboard
Both are very good tablets and quite similar spec wise, I personally enjoyed the Pad X9 a bit better purely as a media consumption device. But it’s best to check the spec list and see which one aligns better to your needs
Please.. I need to buy a tablet.. From your experience with both Xiaomi pad se 8 256 and honor pad x9 4 128 Which tablet shall i buy for overall best experience?

@typical lad is redmi pad se or huawei matepad 11.5 or xiomi pad 6 which one do u prefer i need a big screen and just wanna play basic games and watch movies with high storage
Hello, the tablet itself supports up to 18W fast charging as long as you pair it with a compatible Quick Charge 3.0 charger, but still takes around 2 hours and 45 minutes 0-100 as per GSMArena’s testing.
The tablet itself doesn’t have palm rejection, but the workaround for that is with the 3rd party stylus they provide a ‘2 finger’ glove you can wear which allows you to place your palm on the screen whilst using the pen and not getting interference
Thank you very much for your kind words! I’m glad the video was helpful to you, my aim is to be able to provide the viewer a comprehensive view of the device. Very motivating to hear comments as yours, so I appreciate that. Thank you 👏👍
I love this tablet since i used it to store my photographs on while on my holiday in Japan. But when i got home to attach the usb cable from the tablet to my windows laptop the tablet comes up on my laptop as empty which I do not understand as the tablet has a 512gb Sd card inside it with my photography from Japan stored on the sd card.
I don't have any hands on experience with the Redmi Pad, but between those 2, looking at the specs they are quite closely matched, so I would just go with the Redmi Pad SE
I've turned off screen lock, but when I power on the screen it always shows a screen with the time widget on where I need to swipe up before I get access to the home screen. Is there a way to disable this?
It runs well but is limited on graphics and frame rate as demonstrated in the video, so you’re not going to get the ‘best’ experience graphically. I played for around an hour and had no problem.
To be honest they are quite similar in specs with only marginal differences, but I personally preferred the Honor Pad X9, but if you require expandable storage then the Redmi Pad SE will be better for you
In this price range, for note taking with a stylus I would have to recommend the Lenovo Tab M11 as it has dedicated stylus Lenovo Tab Pen support with features such as palm rejection, pressure sensitivity and tilt support. It costs £199 in the UK with the stylus
No worries, hope that information is helpful for you, the Redmi Pad SE is a good tablet for the price but has it’s limitations when it comes to productivity, the Lenovo tablets are geared more towards this
They are very closely matched specs wise, with the Redmi Pad SE having a SD card slot, and more RAM options than the Pad X9 (in certain regions), me personally, I’d choose the HONOR Pad X9, as it’s cheaper too (currently £159.99 at most retailers)
Both tablets are quite similar in specs. The Redmi Pad has slightly higher PPI (220 vs 207) but that’s marginal, has fast charging capability (18W vs 10W), a slightly better chip (Helio G99 versus SD 680) and a higher MP selfie camera (8MP vs 5MP). Personally I feel like these are marginal differences but they could be a reason to purchase one tablet over the other
It does not have stylus compatibility built in so it won’t be as responsive or accurate as a tablet that does. But from my experience, using a cheap universal stylus, worked fine and would be okay to take notes but you wouldn’t be getting the best experience
