      Thank you for your kind comment! You really have to keep at it and tweak it sometimes. Sometimes I can whip together a bouquet in 10 minutes without much adjustment (never happens on camera, lolll), and sometimes I'll have to fussy with the flowers for 20-30 minutes. I've just learned that slight adjustments are where the magic is and it doesn't pay to get in a tizzy and start over. I'm glad I can help you in any way! XXXX, Amy

      Thank you! We don't have an exact recipe as each bouquet will end up being a little different but here's a guide to get you started:
      2-3 hydrangeas
      4-6 blue delphinium
      3-5 stems tweedia
      2-3 white stock
      2-3 white spray rose
      2-3 blush carnations
      3-4 white cushion flower
      4-5 peach butterfly ranunc
      3-4 peach ranunc
      3-4 peach mini carn
      3-4 quicksand roses
      sprigs of variegated pitt or another variegated greenery

    So pretty! I love all that blue with the peachy tones. What kind of vase do you use to keep hydrated during storage and/or transport? I often find that my bouquets, which I created in an airy style get so tight and compact after transporting in a vase.

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much, Melissa! I typically buy a 6x6 round or square vase at the Dollar Store or Hob Lob to transport my Bridal Bouquets in. I feel I always need something way wider than the typical cylinder vase I store the Bridesmaid bouquets in. Just think squatty and fatty for the bridal bouquets. 🤣

    Stunner!!! Did you say you wired the ranunculus?

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Angie! Yes, I typically have to wire over 50% of them. Basically, their heads are often too heavy and large for the stem so they will curve and bend under their own weight.
      Here's a video on how to do this: th-cam.com/video/2OtUIijJVNk/w-d-xo.html

      @@FlowerMoxie thank you! I will be needing to wire some in a few weeks for my nieces bouquet. I’m sure I can find a video out there somewhere on how to do it properly. The hook method through the center of the blossom?

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@capricia906 Did you see my video on how I wire it listed above??
      Sometimes if the stem is too knobby, then I will stab its head and then wrap the wire down the stem. That only works if the stem won't be seen. Some florists go through the head, but I've tried countless times and never hit the stem.

    I have a DIY request! I'm a bride on a budget and interested in re-using my bridesmaids bouquets as centerpieces. Is there a best way to design the bouquets to be easier to re-use and really add some WOW factor to the table while also looking good in bridal party pics? Thanks!

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hello Sasha! Here's my best advice:
      - Make them a little bit bigger than our recipes, maybe add a bit more greenery and some roses/carns
      - Buy 3-4'' vases for them. It seems small, but it will make the arrangement look bigger!
      - Make sure you cut the bouquets short to fit down into the vase so it doesn't look like a bouquet. You can test this out at home to make sure you cut'em right.
      - Have someone remind your girls to pop them in the vase....many times they forget so there are a lot of sad, empty vases on tables. lolllll
      Good luck, beautiful girl!!!! XOXOX

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We totally get it! You can wire or glue delphinium buds very easily into a bout or a corsage! Sometimes with really long stems you can cut the stem in half and then use that section in a bud vase or centerpiece.

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to save them! If removing petals from roses or delphinium, be sure to place the loose petals in a plastic bag and mist some water inside of it. Pop the bag in the fridge until the days of the wedding. The petals should hold up just fine!

    But I don’t see the pretty blue hydrangeas anymore?

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hydrangea can be awkward to use in bouquets since it's so big! We like to use it as a base and feed other stems through it to hold our stems in place, but the result is that you don't see a lot of the hydrangea, but it does peek through! If you'd like the hydrangea to be more of a star in the bouquet, we would recommend using about 5-7 stems so that way they really show off and then feed in your other flowers!

      Those flowers are actually delphinium! When working with linear flowers like delphinium , stock and snapdragons, in a bouquet, since you'll only see the top of the flower. To keep the handle of the bouquet clean and neat, you end up stripping off the lower blooms.
