It's because the manga choreography is a 11/10 so anything under amazing animation doesn't live up to the manga. It's true that it's unrealistic for an anime to do that but the manga is just that good so it set high expectations for everyone, hence the hate. Conventionally the show looks pretty nice but yeah people were hoping they'd make it the next big hit

The song is really good, but the opening animation is quite mediocre. Usually, an opening, being the show's presentation card, has great animation, but in this case, it leaves much to be desired.

Durarara OP 3 by Okamotos. I forget the exact title. Their ending for Undead Unluck is similar too. From the same artist as this song, Homunculus from My Hero Academia Movie 4 is pretty close. This opening itself has vibes of Gintama OP 6 and 16, the latter also by Okamotos (albeit these songs are more cheerful feeling)
It's unfortunate that people are hating on the opening, this song is actually a very good song!
