I would never want to see two Masters of their martial arts, at this level, fight to see who would win. It is always better to have two masters who are both admired for their extraordinary skills than to have one be diminished by losing to the other. I think one of the truly great martial arts movies recently is The Forbidden Kingdom. Jackie Chan and Jet Li both do battle with each other but neither Master wins and they both become allies. What a great movie. So much fun to watch. Never get tired of this story.

Bruce is the only man I know that will literally go kick his own ass just to get better. He intentionally picked fights he knew he couldn't win, just to figure out all the other styles so he in turn could be everyone. In real life he was fearless and courageous and destined to have his star in the heavens. The man was to Kung Fu, what Ali was to boxing or Doc to basketball or Stanley Clarke to a bass. All phenomenal people. That was Bruce, Top Shelf!

Definitely two legends, however, Bruce was street hardened. He fought for his life and reputation. Jet Li has only fought for reputation and success. I have trained with Dan Inosanto, a sensei in Bruce's school, who was incredibly fast. Dan was in "Sharkey's Machine" using Kali sticks. He says Bruce was twice his speed. He blocked and punched simultaneously with
incredible speed. A genetic gift beyond training.

Neither of them are real fighters though. Most low-tier mma fighters would have them knocked out in under 1 minute.
If you don’t believe look up wing chun fighter vs mma fighter. The mma fighter is 26 pounds lighter (huge weight disadvantage in fighting) and absolutely dominates. I’ve rarely seen a more one sided fight.
Though Bruce Lee did move away from Wing Chun after leaving his home country so maybe he’d do better.
If you fight Bruce, you'll be fighting JKD not wingchun.

The real deciding factor is that while Jet Li is an astounding performer of the Martial Arts, Bruce Lee is an actual fighter, and it is in this that Bruce will always be able to win in a fight between the two.

In all the years in Bruce Lee’s fighting practices, street, professional or acting. Bruce Lee has never lost a fight. Jet Li’s fighting in in most cases Choreographed for movies. He’s great in that aspect and is a very good martial artist. But Bruce was the Real Deal.

Jet Lee is awesome but he seems stiff and his movements were more for beauty. Bruce Lee seems stronger, had better stance, his form was smooth and realistic like real fighting. I like them both. I like the fact that Lee was ahead of his time while Jet Li was sorta behind. This makes me feel like Bruce Lee is the Legend and Jet Li is a great actor.

@@Miester7 Jet Li's issue is his constant jerking movements. I never liked it. It's really honestly stiff. I don't wanna compare but it's what you obviously see. So much energy bursts to look powerful and fluid but it's not. I respect your opinion though.

The reason Bruce would be undefeated vs Jet Li is because Bruce had abnormal body muscle fibers to execute
strength and incredible speed. Bruce studied the human aspects of movement and learned to adapt in all situations. In his training every day he was consistently going beyond his limits. Jet Li no doubt was talented and quick , but not as versatile as Lee Jun Fan! RIP Si Gung Bruce we will never forget your Contributions that were way ahead of your time.
