It's seems to me that this is a UK documentary about China and all about the bad things China is doing currently, it's quite subjective to say the least. The Chinese workers in Africa are humble, and are paid relatively low. $2,800 monthly for expats is a lot in Africa and decent in China, but is low for Europe or US. With all their productivity and assistance to the host countries , there is no air of arrogance , strutting and acts of superiority other than the necessary business hierarchy.
Contrast with Western expats in Africa who often produce very little or nothing but are tens of times the salaries that Chinese workers are paid , whilst living free in luxury home and strutting about like bosses with arrogance.
