Thanks for sharing your time with us, always fun to watch what you are doing, and hope you and the rest of the family have a very wonderful Christmas. I want to see you jump in there.
Love you Rye. Been really enjoying the vids lately since you guys could finally take the new boats out. Known you long enough that i know you don't need to hear this.. but keep on going, love the channel.
Thank you very much for the tour of Kodiak. We like to know details of the location as we enjoy feeling like we are there. For that matter we heard that you recently had a modest earthquake in kodiak. Hope you were not affected in anyway. Have a good Christmas and stay safe for the holiday session. 🎉🧑🎄🤶
Frankly guys the time of the Livestream was great for me here in Kansas. Sunday afternoon here in central time, I was doing laundry at the laundromat, just perfect.😊 Matt good thing it wasn't low tide when the cart drug you down the ramp.😂
You guys are such an awesome team> TEAM EIS this next year is going to rock for you all! All our love and blessings to you this Christmas and will be checking in with you!
The alarm control system on your escape is called "PATS" Passive Anti-Theft System - usually the ignition key or the receiver/transceiver fails. Before doing any parts replacing the key should be checked, if you have a spare PATS key, try that also. An automotive locksmith or your local Ford dealer should be able to test the key and test the receiver/transceiver for signal. Also when the Pats system gets out of sync it must go thru a relearn procedure. I am a Master Diagnostic Tech recently retired.
Thanks for your input! I tried the other key and no luck. Maybe disconnect the battery? Sadly our local Ford dealer closed shop a few years back when they retired, so out of luck there.
@@EISAlaska Disconnecting the battery will not reset the system. The transceiver sits under the steering wheel, when the ignition key is inserted into the lock cylinder, the BCM (Body Control Module) checks the signal to verify the correct key is present. At this point the BCM will send a signal to the PCM (Power Control Module) to allow the starter to crank and ignition control systems to operate. Do you have AAA? I believe that part of a membership comes with locksmith service!
O heck yes!! That is so good Len and Matt! I love this. I am going to try my hardest to get you over a 100 thou. I have been confused about that. I am on it men!
My front drivers bearing went, spent almost 500 on new one, only to find it had a factory defect, and lordco wouldn't replace that, so it sits, because with xmas here, and bills, i cant throw another 500 into it. I feel your pain, and would replace your suspension at no charge
When I see all those boats in the marina, I wonder if there’s enough fish etc stocks to go around. But then you have fishing permits, quotas etc to conserve stocks - and the sea is a pretty big place! Nice to see this background to your work.
Hi guys after all these years anticipating how it would look/work it has finally come together, one thing though Len you have baffles to stop the water swishing backwards and forwards, but how do you stop it going from side to side? 🙂
Love the emrald isle !! how long have you all owned the boats ? I just adore boats and. Fishing i was raised ona boat myself outta port anngeles wash .we fished alot ! Spent almost 5 years onthe boat 24/7
Regarding a slack tank, I guess it is also important that the hatch not blow off? Do you need to fill the tank before you leave the harbor? Too dangerous to fill at sea?
Yep, the big part of the hatch will be bolted down, the small hatch is where water will flow out of, which isn't an issue. Yes, its best to fill at the dock or in sheltered waters, it would be dangerous to fill in any sort of seas where the boat is rolling.
Wow that tank is huge and it’s going to be a lot of work to unload it. What happens when that tank gets completely full of crab and water or halibut and ice? Does it become heavier or lighter? I’m guessing crab must be more dense than salt water.
How about getting a receiver installed and renting a trailer when you need it? I agree...spending money on a truck that you seldom need doesn't make much sense...oh yea...love your channel...and the new boat...
Sorry you are having vehicle trouble...I feel your pain. I just had to purchase a new car because my old one was ...lets just say ..costing more in money and agro than was worth it. I drive elderly disabled veterans around in my car as part of my job so it has to be reliable.
Aww, yep, when they start breaking down, it gets pretty tough. I'm glad you have a reliable ride now! Our vehicles have been good to us but are definitely starting to show their age. P.S. We picked up the package you sent us today! Should we wait until Christmas to open it? :D Thank you so much, Debbie!
Twenty pot limit this year regardless of vessel size as the Guideline Harvest Level is under 5 million pounds. If the GHL exceeds 5 million they bump the pot limit to 30.
Why i have wanted dead or alive playing in my head? No, in all seriousness, i thank all commercial fishermen for catching our seafood in the most dangerous working conditions.
Haha! Funny you should say, mom's been asking about that for a minute. We took it off fairly recently, another vehicle issue, gas tank is beginning to rust through. *sigh* Can't win for trying sometimes.
Hard not to smile been in the fishing industry for almost 50 years, always something.
I can’t subscribe twice. Going to surprise my wife with an addition to her algorithm . Ballet and crabbing should work.
We love it. A perfect combination!
Great job Emerald Isles. To crab season and beyond
Thanks, gary!
Man! That is so satisfying to see! All that hard work pays off! Soo happy for you Guys!!!!
Thanks for sharing your time with us, always fun to watch what you are doing, and hope you and the rest of the family have a very wonderful Christmas. I want to see you jump in there.
looks good guys thanks for sharing!
You did such a nice job with that boat, you should be so proud guys
Easy to see there's a lot more work to your jobs than just what we see when y'all are out on the boats..
Very true! We're trying to capture more extra tasks that we often don't film. A lot of them are pretty quick, but they all need doing!
Can’t wait to go on our first crabbing adventure on the EI.
It's perfect for the Polar plunge. Looks great guys.
It aughta work!
Super awesome guys! enjoyed
Always enjoy your videos.
She’s a real Mothership. Happy to know you guys have a haven from the cold.
Love you Rye. Been really enjoying the vids lately since you guys could finally take the new boats out. Known you long enough that i know you don't need to hear this.. but keep on going, love the channel.
Thanks, King! Tell ya what, its sure been nice getting out on her, finally. Looking forward to some crabbing!

Matt your ride down the ramp is what I call a (E) ticket ride back in the day it took the E ticket to get on the good rides at Disneyland haha
Alot of work good luck

Looking really nice, great work guys. Greetings from Misery Bay 🏴☠️

Your dash looks like my 2010 F150, same check lights. I did clear the oil change light.
Love from Tennessee, can't wait for crab season.
Dude your slips are a real long way from the ramp! Maybe pulling the boat to the ramp is a life saver!
We usually pull the boat over for loading stuff. The line isn't too bad, but definitly will for pots!
Great stuff! Thanks guys!! Nice to see a little bit of Kodiak. No open water in NW Iowa, ready for ice fishing.

Go for it! Thanks Max!

At about 14:14 there was pickup with camper along the road. Is there anywhere to go camping on Kodiak?
Regarding a slack tank, I guess it is also important that the hatch not blow off? Do you need to fill the tank before you leave the harbor? Too dangerous to fill at sea?

Do the fishermen in Kodak all get along, help each other or just do their own thing ?
Wow that tank is huge and it’s going to be a lot of work to unload it.

Thanks, Gene! Its not a bad idea, but I think we'll just rent a U-haul truck for the day when we get to that point.

@EISAlaska So glad it got there. You definitely don't have to wait till Christmas day...enjoy it now!
Does the water in the marina ever freeze up?
As a pleasure/sportfish boater seeing excess water in the bilge is scary watching you fill the tank makes me nervous lol.
How many crab pots do you fish ?
Stay safe god bless

@ thank you for the information
Why i have wanted dead or alive playing in my head? No, in all seriousness, i thank all commercial fishermen for catching our seafood in the most dangerous working conditions.
Hopefully no sand flies one time it happened to me
Maybe invest in small trailer
If you're not going to replace the spare tire on your car at least spend 30 seconds to crank the cable back up.
