Solid list. Other than the two I haven’t had (the AE and the Booker’s), these are all bangers. And on top of Tanager, SA has elevated every one of the year two BiB releases…and year one was already something. I think I would only add the Hard Truth LEs, Holladay was at least new in my market…I think the picks are new everywhere, and the stuff Dark Arts is doing is pretty cool.
I picked up a Bardstown high wheat while in Texas (brand not in Iowa) but haven't opened yet knowing next trip is not till Oct and not sure I can baby it that long if as good as Dave says. 😊
If bookers had released only the infinite and you couldnt compare it to the reserves, do you think that would change your perception? I ask because I rarely see a review of one without mentioning the other. Maybe that was Bookers bigger mistake in putting both out to market at the same time?
Well RR15 is this year's aged stated LE replacement for RR13, so should you of added Old Fitz 13 VVS for this year? Beacause thats a beast of a bottle of juice!!!
Im gonna be the contrarian here. Bardstown Wheated was one of my least favorite bottles ive bought this year. Super bitter oak and not much sweetness. Id rather drink Weller SR
Have you tried just that one bottle or any other ones? I know it may seem like a stretch but if it’s just that one bottle it might be an off bottle. I think it’s one of the sweetest bourbons I’ve ever had
@@jamesprestontxcould totally not be your profile too everyone’s palate is different. I’m just saying for me I think it’s incredibly sweet so I’m just surprised you say not much sweetness
The Green River Full Proof has quickly become one of my favorites. Usually easy to find and at a great price point. Awesome bang for the buck.
Green river full proof is dynamite as well as bardstown high wheat. I’d add the BBCO disco 12 to the list.
😅😊
Green River, Sagamore & New Riff are banging whiskey. Great review.
That Nashville is a banger. We are getting several store picks around Indy and they are fantastic

I really enjoy the Bardstown Wheated, especially for the price. Have not found a R15 yet, but still holing out hope.

That's a good point--you'd think these releases would be offset by a year or so, and they tend to put a shadow on each other.
To have a cask strength bottled in bond the juice would have to come out of the barrel at exactly 100 proof …. 🤔

You guys should do a video blinding this year’s best against the best of the past 4-5 years
Still have yet to see any Bardstown besides the white label, in a store.
What happened to the Bardstown Discovery Series 12? Everyone (including this channel) was hyping it up! And now it is on no "good" list to be found???
Maybe because it is part of an existing series aka the "Discovery" it is not considered for this video?

@ just the one bottle. I was really surprised given how much people like it. I need to find a pour somewhere else to compare

The Bardstown black label wheated Bottled In Bond was one of the more disappointing bottles I've had.
