The first time I saw a legal tender deuce was in 1969. I was ten years old. We were at Pepa's Pizza in Orange CA for Pizza Night. As I was looking through the glass watching them make pizza, I spotted a cork board with a deuce pinned to it. At that age I had never seen one of these. I didn't know they existed. And that red seal, well, 55 years later I can still see it in my minds eye. Never underestimate the power of a red seal deuce! There is magic in that note!

Your memory and recollection is exceptional. But certain moments stand out for a reason. More so when the moment means something to you. I recall going to work with my mom and seeing currency displayed as wall decor/ art. And that sparked my love for currency. I'm an admirer of art, so seeing currency in that capacity forever blended the two for me...

Good morning LT. Informative video, I'm missing the 1963 red seal from my collection, I guess I'll have to look for one now.

Thank you, Sir. You got me looking at a United States Currency book that I bought a little while ago. The art work is amazing. How did they do it a hundred years ago, a hundred and fifty years ago...

Hey brother. My pleasure. I'm glad to hear that my video led to you pulling out your currency book and getting back into it.
The images on the reverse and the carefully, beautiful ornate details throughout the note are absolutely stunning. I seriously consider these notes as pieces of artwork...
What is the name of the book you pulled out? Does it solely focus on United States Notes?
      Talk to you soon...

This is actually where I started was the $2 red seal. Had to upgrade a few notes but I have the entire 1953-1963a. Both AA blocks for each series along with the star notes to complete. All graded by PMG 65&66. I have the 1928 Vinson $2 red seal. That’s where I started to try and complete the entire 1928 series…

      A true numismatician sounds.

The obligation on the US Note and the FRN Notes were the same in Series 1963.

The value of the note is determined by the condition of the note. Folds, creases, and tears can take away from the value of your note...
I will do an episode speaking about condition of notes, and the monetary value, based upon the condition...
