These videos have been fantastic (Pete, Dan and Mick). Very much like the fact you've used a decent camera with a nice wide lens and thought about capturing the best sound possible with handheld and mic'ing up the amps. It's unfortunate that the Chappers and Capt videos have been lacking in these areas so far (although still entertaining).
+Chris Thieblot yes they are entertaining as I mentioned...It's all subjective but I just prefer these videos regards the information delivered coupled with good overall sound and visuals.
+sam atkins And Chappers goes to bigger booth with more of a "walk-through" type of videos so I forgive about lack of info; they're gonna do videos with in-depth details and actual demos, anyway
+TheZooropaBaby yes I agree. I have found them entertaining but would have been nice during their walkthroughs that more of the booths could have been captured instead of close ups of their faces. But, I'll say it again...I've loved all the Andertons footage during NAMM but personally have liked these more in depth ones.
All the Amptweaker TightMetal reviews i've seen have been amazing. I'm thinking about getting one. Do you think a TightMetal would sound good through a Blackstar HT metal 5?
HEY BRO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER YOU, YOUR ANSWER IS YES, I HAVE THE HT5 METAL MINI STACK AND IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE, ALL PEDALS SOUND GOOD THROUGH THAT AMP, IF YOU LIKE THE SOUND OF A DUAL REC BUT DONT HAVE THE MONEY THEN TRUST ME ON THIS AND GET A ROCKTRON ZOMBIE, I GOT 1 FOR $40 BUCKS AND IT SOUNDS LIKE I OWN A DUAL REC NOW, ROCKTRON DESIGNED IT TO WORK WITH TUBE AMPS SPECIFICALLY SO IT WOULD SOUND LIKE THE REAL DEAL
Thanks for your response but i got myself a MXR M116 Fullbore Metal pedal by now. Ain't that easy to get an Amptweaker Tightmetal outside of the US, the extra taxes make it super expensive aswell.
There are so many amps and pedals...and mostly nothing usefull or new in 40 years. Nothing keeps up with my old stuff. This company actually has validity. They actually make new innovative stuff and it works...and they listen? Those other also-rans will soon be gone...but not these guys.
If anyone has never felt/held one of James's pedals ,Do so they are built like a tank I recon the best pedal construction out there Bar none. I would not like to get hit in the head with one LOL.
I really wanted to like these pedals... But to me both in the shop and here on the YT, they sound very hollow, mostly mid scooped in a way which to me is very difficult to explain. Its like the tone of these pedals are all coming out on a line of tiny line... tone does not have enough body it seems.
I just love experts in their fields who are still humble. It's a rare combination.
The key to success - listen to your customers.
James Brown was with Peavey and designed the 5150 amp. He's a really nice guy and really knows his stuff.
+Quentin James Don't forget the JSX and Triple XXX! I asked him a few questions about the JSX schematic, and he was very helpful.
When it comes to pedals and pedal design, this man is untouchable.
Daniel has really upped his metal game!
Man this guy knows how to design pedals wow!!!
+Jeffrey telmo yep. Smart guy. Took his knowledge to pedals, cheaper and sells more.
This guy is awesome, his depth of pedals & how to make them awesome is fantastic! Great video.
Gotta love James! Someone who actually knows his metal! I'll be getting a Rock Jr and Metal Jr! :D
the master of pedals, tight metal is a brutal beast in any kind of amp.
The best pedal builder in my opinion
This guy knows whats up when it comes to pedals

+sam atkins they have their gig. It's laughs and entertainment with little info. These guys are doing actual work for the site.

these pedals are amazing. I had a tight metal pro and worshipped it
I should hate all these metal type tones... but can't help but be inspired! These sound amazing!
This guy did the Peavey JSX, so he's a genius in my book.
AND THE PEAVEY 5150 AMONG OTHERS
Ultra Plus 120 too
Magnificent dirt pedals, the new smaller ones look like the ultimate choice for "MXR" sized gain pedals

Do these pedals clean up when guitar volume is lowered?

What's up with the recording ?

it seems like the rock can get some good medal tones
Haha, these two look like twins!
Dude on the far right really looks like Brian Posehn.
It's the 2 guys from The Muppet Show!
The first pedal sounded pretty bad. Probably badly recorded..
All of those pedals are high quality and sound great
My ears say otherwise
+skunizzi bad recording. just to go the amptweaker website and they have proper clips or play one in person. they are impressive.
WHA..!, James can rock Metal Licks !,.......TOTAL PACKAGE !!!!.....lol
Lol, James Brown looks like Dans dad!
were James Brown and Daniel separated at birth?
HAHA I THOUGHT THE SAME THING, THEY WEREN'T SEPARATED, JAMES IS DAN'S DAD
GET UP!
WHO ELSE THINKS THEY COULD BE FATHER AND SON? I SAW THE THUMBNAIL FOR THIS VIDEO AND THOUGHT THATS WHAT DAN WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN HE'S OLDER
