Whoever mixed this deserves everything they’ve ever wished for. This sounds fucking massive.
Haven’t seen a crowd so unworthy of a live set until now. This whole set is 🔥
@@rogertx210 most, if not all new hardcore music is trying to replicate emmure style lol
“Some of Us May Never See the World” is right up there with Norma Jean’s “Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child” and Eighteen Visions’ “The Best Of” as the most influential albums when I was a senior in high school back in 2003.
O3 grad as well. I recall feeling like such a new jack back then. As I got older though I realized that it was quite awhile ago,
I was an 03 grad too. Poison the Well and Deftones were my favorites but I started to really get into Hardcore then and college I was all about going to the small local shows.
Not too often a vocalist is the heaviest part of the band. This guy is on a different level.
Vocalist nailed it. For a band over a decade old, holy shit.
@@RenKurono Easily. I saw them in Providence at the pink rabbit in 2003 with The Acaia Strain and Back of Tha Neck.
Anthony Anarchy I remember seeing them when I was like 12 in early 2000s lol. Didn't even know of hardcore back then tho lol.
Lol, "over a decade old" Like that is some super ancient band or something.
@23:20 when the riff is so heavy you're just baffled
He was looking for another victim to sucker punch. Dude tried to punch someone at 4:23. But yeah he was lost for that heavy ass riff!
Whoever wrote these tunes has a legendary hardcore imagination haha some of the most melodic shit till this day
@hate5six I’m forever grateful for you filming one of my favorite bands ❤️
When eulogy records had the best roster!.
On Broken Wings, Evergreen Terrace, The Judas Cradle. So many back then. Such a great generation of hardcore
i’ve been listening to these guys since like 06 and i don’t understand why they don’t do more. criminally underrated and influential.
Same man, awesome high memories listening to these guys. They're sick, wish they did more.
It's a sad story man. They got signed to a really shitty deal with Eulogy Records, then a shit load of bands like Emmure stole their style and got signed to better record labels. When they finally got away from Eulogy no one would sign them cause ever label already had bands that sounded like them. This band never got the respect they deserved
A shame half of these kids these days don’t appreciate this band. They were one of the original mosh metal core bands. I would of been kicking lips off when Suffer came on!
Scott Jones man these kids don’t know mosh core besides the new era core with knocked loose.
You must be kinda young mosh pits go way back. It was brutal back then I caught a elbow across the forehead one time split my head open. I tried to go to bathroom to clean all the blood off my ass & manager kicked me out !😀
as a 20 year old its honestly dope as fuck seeing guys old enough to be my parents still fucking killing it, wish more kids my age would actually take the time to listen to the bands that influenced the modern bands they listen to, most of them are 1000x better than the hypecore bands nowadays
This makes me so happy to read that there’s a new generation of fans. I remember seeing them at metal hardcore fest 2004 upstairs at the Worcester palladium just out of high school 😂
@@vater513 My roommate and I love this band and all the bands of this generation. We're 21 and 20 now haha. Can only imagine how sick it must've been to see bands like these back then
@@vater513 this is how I found out about them. The whole scene, that whole era was a vibe. We were SJ guys that made drive up to Worcester. That 2nd stage was dope as hell. Caliban, OBW, Darkest Hour. So many amazing bands that weekend. That weekend is how I found Diecast. So good.
On Broken Wings deserve so much attention than they get. Mount Rushmore of Hardcore hands down. They used to cause so much chaos at venues back in the days! YOUNGSTERS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS! : D
Lol I'm 21, the only reason I know about this band is because I read the comments of a K//L tour announcement on Lambgoat, where someone said "these guys could play an entire set of On Broken Wings covers and their fans wouldn't be able to tell the difference". Dude's full of it, still funny tho.
Hands down one of the best sets I’ve ever seen
This is was an amazing set, played super tight. Absolutely tripping on how the whole room wasnt going mental over it. Respect to OBW for one of the all time greatest bands
What a weak crowd for sure my 40 yr old ass would have been out there thinking I was 25 again.
Shit was bananas at the Knocked Loose show in Worcester when they opened I think I killed someone during Crosswords lol
Same boat, would gladly deal with the 2 week agony from beating up 20 year olds though
Hardcore isn't anything like it was when we were 18-26 (late 90's - 06) but with some of these new bands popping up, it looks like it's coming back
Not sure how Philly gets along with FSU, but that might have had something to do with it.
I’ve watched this about 58388 times now. Amazing, simply amazing.
flawless set. usually older bands new sets are sloppy as hell
The first show I ever went to here in socal back in 04 they were headlining, played with shattered realm and black my heart
We were lucky to have them come out in the 2000s at the Showcase Theatre in Corona. The line up was Donny Brook, Hoods, Shattered Realm, On Broken Wings and Black my Heart.
Great Band, great Set!! But the crowd is beyond awful😂😂😂🥱🥱🥱
12:22 “Bruce Lepage adidas collection” mosh call
Took me a minute to look this set up but I’m glad I did. This band fucking rips. This was the only standout on that lineup.
Wasn't gonna make a comment about age since I'm about the same age as the guys in the band... but I see others beat me to it anyway.
The real OG hardcore bands are old af right now but its crazy to see how old the metalcore guys have gotten. Nice to see the crowd isn't just a bunch of kids though. I can't wait for 15-20 years from now when we're all getting close to our senior years. Will we still be doing this shit? Only time will tell.
Like starscream is the greatest song to ever live
Seen these guys play in a gym in the early 2000s in MA as one of the openers for Evergreen Terrace. They fucking killed it. God damn I miss those days!
I feel like I'm transported back to 2005. Actually saw these guys play at some church hall in Ventura, CA., and the opening band (Reflux) had Tosin Abasi as their guitar player, I got a guitar lesson from him at their merch table.
Still go back to this video for memories and fun. God they were fun. Has anyone mentioned how good his snare sounds ! Love his snare sound
I saw this band like 15 years ago turn a Portland, Maine venue into a literal piece of Moshing artwork. Wall to wall.
15 years ago after 0:42, three ambulances would've been called, just saying kids.
Crowd definitely seemed lackluster esp compared to some of even the older bands that played at this venue, not sure what this crowds deal was haha
Assume the crowd is just old enough to be respectful of each other. But yeah, I guess it would have been awesome to have to stop the show for ambulances
that being said, the crowd is not going nearly as hard as they shouldve been
I Do My Crosswords in Pin still hits so fucking hard.
big man got some sick kicks 18:36
One of the best live performances in a long time on this channel. I remember living in Florida in the late 90s and Eulogy was the shit back then. Discovered many good bands, OBW, Morning Again, Unearth, Bird of Ill Omen, etc. Those were the good ol' days.
Heartless. HEARTLESS!
Best show I ever saw at the Showcase Theater in Corona California
Horrible crowd cause all those young ass kids were just born in 2000 - 2002 so they have no clue who this band is.
Lol true. Might also be because their parents liked on broken wings and that means it ain't cool.
Who gives a fuck, literally you're an elitist dickhead and probably no one likes you, people can enjoy past generations music
@@dakotakeller1606 when we grew up in hardcore, if you thought someone was a dick yall talked it out or fought it out and moved on. The new generation of hardcore kids have doxed anger in a genre driven by aggression. .
I seen this band back in the day when you left there shows legit BLEEDING
Damn I missed these guys. 2003 me is going apeshit right now
now thats a snare!
@@iantrumbore8744 haha im back again as well, they had those drums dialed in....i cant get enough of it.

Frozen Over is still one of the most badass songs ever
How did they not go crazy for the bloop bleeps?!
one of the hardest sets from that weekend
These mfers wrote a song so good they put it on 3 albums
homie in the hawaiin shirt def ripped an entire ball that he got in east prov before rolling up. my dude
One of the heaviest hardcore/metalcore bands of all time. Shows brang the energy.
I remember seeing On Broken Wings with The Warriors in a church in Oxnard back in like 05’. Singer was standing on crutches and had just fucked his knee up. Nuts to see him wearing a brace so many years later
Why did incredible recording. The sound quality is some of the best I've heard on a live video
Crazy that crowd did not get more into the set. Their shows used to be so intense. They sound better now than they did back in the day.
These guys are the OG's. They got me into hardcore in 06 and they've got the heaviest riffs in the fucking universe - hands down. As soon as the pandemic is over, they should put together a tour with The Ghost Inside, Knocked Loose and Vein and get their asses to germany!
Edit: And don't forget to bring END with you as well!
I love how in Crosswords, during the more clean/positive sounding part in the beginning, there’s some deep ass growls, and then during the breakdown-ish part right after is such excellent clean singing. Such a stark dichotomy and I love it lol
Damn, had no clue these guys were still together. I’ve been a fan since Johnny Cupcakes was in the band.
They stopped by played a house show in my town on way to vegas with Johnny, lost the footage years later but it was best thing ever
the sound on this is superb. someone deserves a medal.
God damn this brings me back to highscool shows.
*sigh *
The drive by moshing days.....
Mfg I did not expect this to sound like it walked out the 2000s still. OBW killed it over and over. Timeless.
Damn, This vocalist was NOT done justice by the recording quality of OBW back in the day 😂he’s fucking unreal
Blown out kneescore
Hardcore at its finest!! At least one of the many great bands in the genre.
I can’t believe FUBU is still walkin around their pits like he owns it. Seen than man throw chairs and been rocked a few times by him. Killer set. Pits not as crazy as it used to be but we’re all old now lol
love everything about this set.
I saw them live multiple times in the early 2000s. What a fucking treat for these kids.
Damn they played almost all of their good jams very good setlist
I love the guy in the hawaiiwan shirt, he looks like he's tripping on something throughout the entire video.
These dudes still perform? Holy fuck! This was my band back in the day.
OBW was flat earth theory before it was cool
I've always wanted to know, the singer has had a leg brace since I saw them in London, England with Parkway Drive, Suicide Silence and Carpathian. Anyone know what's up with that?
I think he fucked his knee up moshing for a remembering never set in like 06? Haha blake was always gettin down
Who the fuck gave it thumbs down? OBW slaps and has for longer than the thumbs downer has probably been alive. I’d kill to see these guys again. Been so so damn long.
appalled at how weak the crowd was for this set. What an amazing set
Best they have sounded in years! Great band.
is this the same vocalist from their album "some of us may never see the world" ?
Drums sounding crisp
I am so pissed I couldn't make this, so fucking good
Best of the Best- saw them at the Recher Theater in Baltimore, MD. A security dude pushed a dancer then pockets of fist fights broke out. Hardcore kids v. Security. They stopped playing then after 30 seconds they went straight back into the breakdown and said, ‘F*ck this place up!’ Needless to say, it happened. Complete insanity and will never forget for the rest of my life! Cops we called and they responded with multiple cruisers and two paddy wagons! Shut down a major road going north and south(if my memory serves me correctly) All truth no lies. OBW apparel was not allowed in the venue for a long period of time. Glad I was there!
Skate city and Hammerhouse, I was always blown away how they were able to sound better live than on recording.
2019...holy shit they still CRUSH. Good fkin lord this makes me happy.
Sound quality is crispier than a 2pc combo from KFC, Job well done. Crowd is undeserving, long live OBW.
Wondering if first blood has a set filmed on here yet?
the original flat earthers of HXC
were they on Trustkill Records? i forget
Eulogy in the US and Alveran in Europe.
So glaf we had them over here in germany for 2 or 3 shows! such great and appreciative dudes! Guitarist dude flipped out when he saw the tiny Smart Car! he couldnt believe that there are cars THAT small haha
They actually sound really good. Jonathan Blake vocals on point.
Finally a live that feels decently...
They did a surprise last minute set at The Palladium in worcester MA. It was a packed venue and no barricades they played right after seeyouspacecowboy and before rotting out. Holy fuck that was insane.
Damn, I was at that show but down in south Florida. Would've been hype af, haven't seen em since like 07-08' when I was in HS
for I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.
One of my favorite bands of all time, along with Remembering Never.
Fir for an autopsy guitarist having a dance. Fuck yeah
This drummer is pretty good not gonna lie.
their show in worcester with knocked loose was fucking insane. 100% more crowd participation
Riffs are heavy but the crowd are weightless😥
90s hC people are the sickest bone crushing slampits.
Those showcase theatre days , still fucking banging !!!!!!
Drummer is sick wow
I would give half of my soul to see this band again and hear them play Nothing New.
2000's hardcore kids what's good!
Gettin old
Suburbannite 😑yup
We in dis bitch still.
