Fantastic! I was hoping to hear how much he had in the build but that's ok. I'm a huge fan of Zenith aircraft. The high wing Zeniths are every much as capable as a super cub. I'm planning my own build now of a 701. All the models now have every hole match drilled from the factory. The big thing now is stol airplanes and backcountry flying. Even older super Cubs are way over 100 thousand dollars and these Zenith kits can be purchased for 35 to 40 thousand. With a garage and the willing to do a little work you can build an amazing stol airplane nicely equipped for 100 thousand. Best part is the ability to customize it yourself with no need for A&Ps or IAs involved. The builder can legally do the condition inspection every year. Experimental is rapidly becoming the only economical way to own and fly an airplane . Thank you for the interview and spotlight on a Zenith!
Great interview! He’s a great interviewee - succinct but with the right amount of folksy storytelling flair to keep it bright! I would love to get away from certified aircraft and I have my eyes on the Zenith Cruzer.
Ah good old Continental , a design from 1930s … why change it indeed …. well, maybe for the same reason we no longer travel in horse draw carriages and for about 40 years now no longer user carbureted engines in about bazillion cars out there ….
Wow. Amazing job on this aircraft. I'm especially impressed with the interior. Modern and well organized.

Awesome little airplane! Very good presentation. Heated seats? Great idea!
@@clintgosch2306 Those heated seats are a nice touch!
Enjoyed the video and your channel. Zenith is very well run company with good products. I’m considering building a 750 cruiser when I retire.
Go for it!
Awesome story! Great work involving those kids and hooking them. Can’t wait to go spring our Scout from Annual @ the ACA Factory on Friday!
Have fun!
A beautiful plane and family.
Thank you
I build an Italian version of the CH 750, powered by a Subaru engine... Continental O 200 is by far the best choice..... It really flies GREAT
@@69andy55 Thanks for the comment
So many homebuilts leave the interior unfinished, but this plane is just beautiful. Inside and out.
@@CameronBarnhill Yes it is!
Very casual interview but this guy is on point great job on this build.

How much would it cost in total for the build? Is there a breakup of costs?
Great aircraft for ranching. But it has the glide ratio of a brick.
😂
where did ya get those VG's from?
VG’s came from Zenith. They are riveted on.
How much did it cost to build?
Total I spent less than 40 k, I was able to get a great price on the kit package from a builder who never started his project.
Carb heat right next to the throttle? And no guard on the throttle? Poor human factors...

You do have the option of a Rotax 912 in either carburettor or fuel injected format.
Some people still like old school. 😀
