the day I discovered Kiss of Life was magical - listened on my walk to class that morning. Sade's voice and the song in itself just completely revived and brought me out of a month+ long negative spell. My mom used to play Sade but I had never heard this one; it met me at the perfect time. Later that night I went to a Kaytranada show in Atlanta and he played this. Literally one of the most beautiful synchronicities of my life . I had no idea he had sampled Kiss of Life, it felt unreal; truly one of the most magical moments

@@P3truts haha I had planned on going to the show for about two months; It was just a crazy coincidence that I was blessed with discovering the original that morning and heard his rendition that night. I had no idea it even existed - Super beautiful! But yes class in the morning and concert at night was a big day for sure

There are songs that feel like magic. This is one of them. No matter what I go through, this song instantly puts me in a good mood and feel free. I be dancing and vibing to it. Sade's voice and music is dreamy and timeless and Kaytranda is so talented. Everthing he creates is amazing.

This remix uses similar samples to MF DOOM's "Doomsday" and it's no wonder why I so enjoy this track, too. All 3 songs including Sade's timeless original are such beautiful masterpieces.

A timeless classic. I’ve loved this song since it was released and saw Kaytranada at Outsidelands and he dropped this in the middle of his set and I legit was almost in tears. Kaytranada is a once in a lifetime type of sound.

It was Sunday, the final day of the festival and Kaytranada had the last set as icing on the cake.
After a whole week of dancing, listening, eating way too expensive food, drinking, ‘having some bedroom/tent rodeo’ and getting way too high..., everybody was as tired as a college student on a Monday morning but still had that back-up energy for Kaytranada.
From the moment he started till the end he said just one thing in between a song: ‘Yo what’s up’. That was it. Not more. And I respected that, it shows how modest he is and how he lets his music speak...
meanwhile the tent was completely full and far outside the tent people were still dancing like it was there last day living. This song was the last one he played and I had tears rolling down my cheek of happiness. That moment was so beautiful ‘just like in the movies’.
And till this day I always come back to this song when I want to feel that moment of complete happiness.
