Mission three: Operation Overlord
Part three: Battle of the Bocage
"Excellent job on Omaha. Due to your exemplary actions, you've been reassigned to a special mission with Captain Ramsey from A Company. The situation in the bocage is grim. The overgrown hedgerows dividing the landscape past the beach provide the Germans with perfect defensive territory; our every offensive is met with tenacious overlapping defenses - MG42s, mortars, 88's - you name it. Certain areas that were to be taken by the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions remain in enemy hands; a result of the misdrops on the night of the invasion.
Your mission is to penetrate enemy lines, disrupt enemy defenses, and link up
with paratroopers from the 101st who were tasked to destroy a special target
between Isigny and Carentan. If they're understrength or KIA, you are to
complete their mission with Ramsey. A jeep is available for transport, but there's no way to tell how far you'll get before you have to abandon it, as the roads closer to the target are well defended by 88mm guns.
You'll receive further details once you're in the field. Best of luck,

Few games have ever had the music and audio so tangibly real like this.
the paratrooper reloading the M1 Garand 2:25 looked perfect, the AI developers of this game were way ahead of their time
Oh I know, this was so good and people under-rate it today. I think Steven Spielberg had a hand in helping make this btw.

It's weird, i get such wicked nostalgia from this game. I can remember all the lines, all the scenes etc... LOVE IT. I think about modern day shooters, and nothing sticks with me, despite them being so much more advanced etc... I guess it's just a testament to how awesome this game is. Also, dat sound design. 10/10
I used to play this when I was 4 years old. Roughly 9 or even 10 years ago. I remember the fun I had with this game, all the dreams. One day I deleted it by mistake. (Hey, I was 4. Don't judge me!) Big Boss this was the first game I ever played online by accident. I found the multiplayer area and created a match just walking around. Eventually someone joined and started chatting. I thought it was the coolest thing. That was on my parents computer. I eventually got my own in middle school and played a ton of COD2.

First time I ever played this game was back in the day I used to buy PC Mag when their numbers came with demo software CDs and had like no other way to get games besides demos, it was just a demo and I played it again and again and when I finally was able to get the full game it was awesome... such memories.

Man this game was a fucking masterpiece, my entire childhood. The background music was on another level.
As a kid i tried running past that AT gun so many times , always almost making it but still not yet. I didn't know you bad to use your binocs and call arty to get past it , haha good old days

This game was so great back then. Loved it. I remember playing the demo (yeah, such thing existed back in the days!) over and over again on my first PC. You could change the weapon properties by altering the config if i remember correctly.
Just give the panzerschreck a ten round magazine.... :D

there's a little bug...during d-day (and later) the password was 'flash' and response 'thunder'...here they say 'thunder', and our guy answers 'flash'. It may be not a big mistake but since i'm a II WW maniac...:D
