The way that Tim sheepishly smiled when he says “Unless it is…” and then he breathes deep and smiles even more. That was serious romance right there. It’s a guy going all in!
I thought after 5e02 that Tim was steering her into friend zone when he urged her to go to UC school. Lucy: "We were about to [hook up]", Tim "but we didn't"--"we didn't". So maybe this makes overstaying in the relationship with Chris more comfortable, and the dynamic with Chris pushing her because of it makes sense. Lucy made her peace with the friend zone because she cherished all the other aspects of it, and thought that this maybe is what Tim wants. I kind of re-watched several episodes now 2-3 times bc the writers seem to go to length to knit a quite credible dynamic between the two. Except for this hilarious Juicy-Dim Doppelganger -- that was just outright comedy.
So proud of Tim and Lucy for being brave and realizing that love is always worth the risk. I’ve loved them since their eyes met during roll call that first day, it has been a wonderful journey watching them & their relationship grow over the years not to mention their wonderful banter/humor. I’m sure they will continue to have obstacles, but they will face them together because they truly are soulmates and I can’t wait to continue watching their wonderful journey.
When Lucy said, "Of course I'M SCARED!!! If we do this & it doesn't work, I'll have ruined the most important relationship in my life!!!!" (There wz a pause) & Lucy says, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said." Which then Tim responds, "No. Uh..You're right." U could tell Lucy wasn't prepared 4 what Tim ultimately would say when she adds, "So, we should just keep going go on, the way we hve been. It's not worth the risk." BUT when Tim then says, "YES IT IS!!!" I ALMOST fell over!!! BURSTING at the seams w/ joy & crying ALL at once!!!! 😭❤️😂❤️😭 I WANTED TIM to TAKE the INITIATIVE SO BADLY!!! & felt LUCY NEEDED THAT!!! It couldn't have been ANY BETTER then when he said, "YES...IT IS!!!!" His vulnerability, plus tender strength & confidence, LEFT NO DOUBT he was...INDEED ALREADY IN LOVE W/ HER!!! 💕 & Lucy also BEING SO very vulnerable & AFRAID even after she said, "their relationship was the MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP IN HER LIFE!!! Immediately u could tell, she thot oh-oh maybe I wz 2 honest & quickly said, that they should just keep their relationship as it was cuz it wasn't worth the risk!!! I think Lucy was SO GENUINELY SHOCKED when Tim said, "YES, IT IS!!!" I seriously didn't think we were gonna 2c this til the end of the season. I think we've ALL seen A LOT of LOVE stories portrayed in Prime Time or whatever. BUT.. I can't say, I've EVER ROOTED more for ANY other couple on TV EVER!!!!! 💕😭😲🥰🌠🎉🎆❤️🎊💕. Their RELATIONSHIP, BOND, LOVE & CHEMISTRY comes across SO REAL & BELIEVABLE!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥⚡ Lightening in a bottle!!! 🌠 💕 I saw this clip & title & HAD 2 WATCH!!!! B/C I can't watch the whole episode til morning!!! I've got 2 say, ALSO, how they paced their relationship was perfect over the seasons!!!!!!
@@gwladysproverbesetcitation8485 Yea, I realized that later!!!! It took awhile cuz on video of the scene using CC said "Yes it is" , But then I saw a # that he said, "Unless it is?!?!". In some ways, though I think Tim's, smile, tenderness and confidence, it FELT like he was saying "YES!!!!". Meaning he was in love!!!!! But didn't know til that day how unhappy Lucy was. And Lucy I understood why she wasn't totally honest in Vegas. I think their conversation would've been confusing. I think Tim also had to really figure things out, & there was too much ambiguity & they were in the middle of this serious & very dangerous job.
So I'd never seen the show. Somehow stumbled upon this clip and so totally fell in love with their chemistry that I went and watched the whole show and oh my GOD! I'm in love with them! Also, the moment she says 'I'll have ruined the most important relationship of my life' you can see the change in his face because he knows for sure now that this isn't all in his head or just one sided!! I squealed when I watched this scene! It was 2am and I scared the crap out of my dog but yeah!
OK, I finally wz able 2 watch last nite of "The Rookie." I had no clue, we'd c 2 EPISODES back 2 back!!!! Now I get why I wz confused meaning, this wz the end scene of the 1st episode. BUT...I feel like the Writers & Producers DID in a real way address sum of our frustrations, which I know I alluded 2 A LOT!!! Bailey wz ONLY in 1 episode & NOT so much. Nolan seemed 2b finally kicking his Rookie out from living w/ them!!! She's still quirky, BUT the tone of BOTH episodes, Nolan seemed more like a TO & less like a "buddy" & that wz GREATLY needed!!!! & the 2nd episode, Bailey wzn't even it!!! I LOVED that Sgt Grey & Luna were in it!!! Sgt Grey had sum funny lines, as he hated New York. But I LOVE Luna. Their marriage & their humor w/ eachother is cute but not cheesy!!! & LOVED how quickly Sgt Grey knew, the Uber driver wz lying b/c of what he had taught their daughter, 2 pull out a brake cord on 1 side if she wz in trouble. Nolan STILL had a strong role & presence as a TO & it got serious very fast, when his Rookie wz terrified, she may've killed the guy she caught & Nolan as her TO walked her thru it & he knew what those feelings were like, when she wz hving 2 turn over her gun & badge while being investigated. It wzn't cheesy. AND of course, NOTHING even REALLY needs 2b said, BUT...suddenly Chenford happened in BOTH episodes!!!! I gotta say, I wz leary, b/c I wz SO disappointed w/ the last episode, that as far as quality overall BOTH episodes, I give an A!!!!! There wz a great plot 4 both, as far as police work goes. AND suddenly Chenford wz happening!!!! I'm probably never gonna love Bailey, BUT w/ less of her, it helped. I felt ok abt his Rookie. I just hope, they keep it more of a TO & student relationship, w/ boundaries. And I LOVED that Ginny moved 2 LA. Ginny Tim's sister & Lucy REALLY hit off instantly last yr!!! OK, I did hve this odd thot. I honestly wondered would Nolan & Ginny be a good couple. I don't know, that maybe 2 much a stretch. I think it wz partly b/c he wz at her house helping & she wz sharing what she wz going thru w/ 1 of her boys. What we learnt also last yr, Tim & Ginny had an alcoholic & abusive Dad growing up. BUT we learnt that Ginny's husband sounds like is an alcoholic & ironically Tim's 1st wife, became a drug addict. They never became addicted 2 substances, breaking that cycle. BUT they both ended up marrying spouses that were or became one. And then suddenly in the 2nd episode of the nite, we c Lucy FINALLY breaks up w/ Chris!!!! AND telling Tim & him asking her on a date!!!!!
*Lucy* Hey. We need to talk. *Tim* Let me guess, Chris wants to buy a house in Chatsworth? *Lucy* No. *Tim* This clearly isn't working out, I don't know why you won't just admit it. Unless - Is it guilt? Is it because of what Rosalind did to him? *Lucy* Oh, like I'm the only one that stayed too long when things aren't working. You dated a lifeguard. You don't even like going to the beach. *Tim* This is not about me. This is about you... staying in this safe relationship... because you're scared. *Lucy* Of course I'm scared. If we do this and it doesn't work, I'll have ruined the most important relationship in my life. 0:46........ I'm sorry, I shouldn't have have said... *Tim* No. You're right. *Lucy* So we should just keep going the way we have been, right? It's not worth the risk. *Tim* Unless it is. 1:09........ Do you want to get dinner sometime? *Lucy* Yes. *Tim* Yeah? *Lucy* Yeah. No. It's just... *Tim* Okay. *Lucy* No, no, it's just... not yet. I owe it to Chris to end things the right way with him. 1:41........ Ask me again… Later. After… *Tim* Deal.
Ok…haven’t had a chance to watch the whole episode but I couldn’t wait….please tell me the stunned pause was because for a sec she made and assumption and he was stunned she actually admitted how she felt?!? Cause that’s what it looked like. He said the whole “no pretend” thing and she out right stated they were going to hook up before finding Chris, but was there more or just Tim encouraging her to examine her feelings for Chris???
Hook up before finding Chris? Huh? Tim was saying to Lucy that she stays in relationships long past due. Then he said is it bc she’s scared….. (of who knows what). Then she said yes she’s scared, but she thought he was referring to the two of them, Tim and Lucy. But he was meaning her and Chris. THATS when he realized she slipped up and was referring to her with Tim! 🥹
Undercover in the hotel room, I always thought, that Lucy held back when Tim asked her if they want to talk about it & she had this dazed look. Like what?!?! B/c Tim was just coming 2 grips that he had feelings. But he wasn't confident how 2 talk about it when esp they were under cover & shocked by them. I think Lucy wz protecting herself. When she kinda looks & says what?! Tim says "Do u want 2 talk about it?! The bathroom in the airplane, ur apartment?!" Of course she said "It is an intimate act & that they had 2b dead inside 4 it not 2 not trigger sumthing." I think she wz 2 scared then & that's why she said "It's basic Biology." Tim says "So u're saying, it didn't mean anything?!" She says sumthing like, "Right?!" I think b/c she's so good at explaining emotions, she can also use that 2 cover up her true feelings. & Tim was just discovering his feelings & being under cover, Lucy wz protecting herself & I don't blame her. Under cover helped obviously 4 both of them 2c they of course at some level loved eachother BUT that-that kind of DEEP attraction when they kissed, I'm sorry u can't fake that, when u have deeper feelings 4 someone. At least I know I can't!!! & in that way, the assignment disarmed them. BUT Lucy still always initiated BOTH kisses, OF COURSE however, Tim NEVER pulled away. Lucy always HAD 2 1st!!! Even the kiss in her apartment, when Tamara walked in, Tim still wasn't stopping, it took him a second 2 realize that Lucy pulled away b/c Tamara just walked in. I don't know if there's any other couple that I've rooted 4 like Tim & Lucy!!!! AND they've paced it brilliantly!!! The bond & depth of their relationship. Interestingly the 2nd couple 4 me would Jamko, Jamie & Eddie on Blue Bloods, who were partners as patrol cops & even when they both knew they had feelings 4 each other, they were BOTH 2 scared of ruining their relationship, b/c they wouldn't be allowed 2b partners anymore. & 4 sum time, they BOTH weren't willing 2 risk it, when EVERYONE knew, they had deeper feelings 4 each other. Though they still worked somewhat 2gether, when he 2 became a Sergeant & transfered 2 his precinct, when they were finally a couple. Ppl talk about Tim saving Lucy in Season 2. Don't get me wrong that was HUGE & PIVOTAL!!!!! AND Lucy didn't realize how much Tim blamed himself!!!!!! He was the same with a soldier under his squad as a Sergeant in the military. He blamed himself & assumed that this 1 guy blamed him 4 losing his leg by a EUD & tells Lucy b/c he let him slide on something. But at the end, suddenly this guy, Mitch, says to Tim, who got him a job with a roof over him to live. AND suddenly Mitch says, to him, "It wasn't your fault!!! You know, what happened to me." Tim is SHOCKED as usual his facial expressions tell you so much. After hugging & saying goodbye, Tim wipes a tear away from his eye. AND Tim had taken Kojo from Lucy's dog so he would have a better home. Immediately Kojo senses Tim being sad, & whimpers for Tim. Tim looks down at Kojo & says, "Not a word." BUT.. I would argue, that Season 1 Episode 1, immediately the 1st episode, Lucy finds herself saving having to save Tim's life after being shot!!!! She was pulling him to safety & shooting & radioing for backup. They were supposed to be the backup & pulled in earlier & behind the housing to be ready to support Nolan & Bishop. SO... suddenly they were driving in & ambushed. If it had Jackson & Lopez, one of them would've been killed!!!!!! AND then we c how heartbroken Tim is when he comes across Isabelle, his wife, after a yr, who doesn't even recognize Tim initially. Lucy saw so much that no one, not even Bishop, nor Lopez saw!!!!! AND when she intervened b/c he almost took the kilo of heroine that her boyfriend had kept in her heating vent when she was arrested & asks him to commit a crime & take it on her behalf. He PROBABLY would've if Lucy hadn't shown up & got thru to him. BUT we didn't learn until the next day, that he went back & put the kilo back in the vent. Lucy helped Tim just as much in so many ways. I think she helped him live again & find joy. From when she told him he needed to do more fun things, & they went & played paint ball together after a case that happened at some paint ball place. To her little pranks, stealing his $, cuz he told her, as a her TO she needed to think like a criminal. That every cop needs to have a little bit of an outlaw in them. AND he tells her how he hides his $ when in public. AND in the end, she steals it!!! She calls him at some bar & she wz 2 funny & she tells him, "You should never tell someone where u keep your $ & tells she stole it off him. He tells her she's in so much trouble. BUT if u watch the whole episode, in the beginning he makes her look thru disgusting gross sex toys & he tells her to glove up. Including the toilet etc. SO...in response, she says maybe u can wash some dishes, but you might want to "Glove up!!! " Tim gets off the phone, & he shakes his head smiling!!!! He couldn't be mad at her. She helped him study for the Sergeant's exam, by putting books on audio using her voice. Cuz she learns that he is a Kinesthetic learner. That he retains info. by hearing it & doing something at the same time. And called Isabelle & found how she helped him study. AND immediately he knows the bk is out of print & that's there no audio bk. But she made it & tells him there's no shame in it, & it's probably what makes him such a great cop. And he thanks her. AND when he rear ends someone. It's a huge thing for an officer!!!! Meaning suspension. But something seemed off to her & she got mad at the guy looking at the cars. And suddenly sees 3 bars, & that he's ranked as a Sergeant BUT she sure enough, he discovers that the brake lights were purposely cut, & there were other things that showed evidence of being a scammer. And he thanks him. B/c he was getting an award but if she hadn't discovered this, Sgt Grey told him he shouldn't even come to the ceremony. All of this took place b4 she was abducted by Caleb.
Seems she went to find him to talk about something, and he wasn't there just waiting for her. What was she going to talk about? Based on the conversation, she wasn't ready to confess her feelings.
Yes, this last scene is both beautiful and kind of out of context. She starts with “we need to talk” as if something more had been said or done between them, but it hadn’t.
I kind of agree. But I think he was waiting for her after their shift. He was pushing her in the car about her relationship with Chris. They never got to finish that conversation. Lucy "needing to talk", I think is her realizing in the car that she doesn't love Chris because she loves Tim. When she said "He's not..." then she looks at Tim. We all know she meant "He's not you". We as viewers definitely had to put some things together ourselves but I don't think anyone really cares because chenford fans got what we wanted!!
@@noyes7537 yes, we now have what we wanted, but the screenwriters let themselves off the hook easy. However, Winter did a really good job: I couldn't imagine how "that" conversation (whatever it was going to be) could go, epsecially for Tim, and he stayed true to the character.
We could feel the tension in the shop, when Grey told them to ride together, when they were UC, for the last five seasons. We knew they needed to talk, they knew they needed to talk. It feels like the final straw was her admitting she didn’t love Chris 😍
*Lucy* Hey! We need to talk. *Tim* Let me guess, Chris wants to buy a house in Chatsworth? *Lucy* Nooo. *Tim* This clearly isn't working out, I don't know why you won't just admit it. I’ve been watching interviews with the writer of the show and I feel he doesn’t ship Chenford. He was against it originally which makes me worried for them in season 6. :(
Oh, please, no! I hope that this is because the writer wasn’t expecting such chemistry between these two - now he doesn’t have other options (hope so, at least).
@@StaciaLokti I saw another interview where he said after fans who have been watching the show since the beginning and have been rooting for Chenford, it would be rude to the fans to have them break up right after they get together. So we will see.

Tim looks down at Kojo & says, "Not a word."
BUT..
Love Chenford ❤
oh ! i love this cp❤❤❤
Bro Chris got strung along like CRAAAAAAAAAAAAZY. Actually psychopathic how little of a fuck Lucy gave about him
And after turns into 9 years later... Welcome to the Friendzone!
"Unless it is."
Seems she went to find him to talk about something, and he wasn't there just waiting for her. What was she going to talk about? Based on the conversation, she wasn't ready to confess her feelings.
I really hope at least some physical contact. Like holding hands mybe. Or just Tim touched Lucy hand..
next episode hopefully! The show needs to save some cuteness for when it returns in January!
tim is good look man and lucy love to best couple
It’s happening. It’s happening ! Chenford rises !
Also, what is the name of the song playing here ?
I believe the name of the song is called Katla by Zander Hawley
YES...I wanted to know the name of the song as well?!?!?
@@viricortes5168 Sorry just saw that u replied.
@@tammyboon6259 it’s okay
Can I just say…… what was Tim sitting there for 🤨😂
Was he waiting for something? Was he on a lunch break? Was he getting fresh air? Lol 🤔
Yes, this last scene is both beautiful and kind of out of context. She starts with “we need to talk” as if something more had been said or done between them, but it hadn’t.
Probably lunch break or end of shift. That’s the LAPD office
Por favor si puedes lo subes con subtítulos en español. Me acabas de alegrar la noche con tu video!!! Gracias
*Lucy* Hey! We need to talk.
*Tim* Let me guess, Chris wants to buy a house in Chatsworth?
*Lucy* Nooo.
*Tim* This clearly isn't working out, I don't know why you won't just admit it. Unless, I mean, is it guilt? Is it because of what Rosalind did to him?
*Lucy* Oh, like I'm the only one that stayed too long when things aren't working. You dated a lifeguard, you don't even like going to the beach.
*Tim* This isn't about me, this is about you... staying in this safe relationship... because you're scared.
*Lucy* Of course I'm scared. If we do this and it doesn't work, I'll have ruined the most important relationship in my life 0:46........ I'm sorry, I shouldn't have have said...
*Tim* No. You're right.
*Lucy* So we should just keep going the way we have been, right? It's not worth the risk?
*Tim* Unless it is? 1:09........ Do you want to get dinner sometime?
*Lucy* Yes!
*Tim* Yeah?
*Lucy* Yeah. No! It's just...
*Tim* Okay.
*Lucy* No, no, it's just... not yet. I owe it to Chris to end things the right way with him. 1:41........ Ask me again... later. After...
*Tim* Deal.

Someone already know the name of this song
The song is called Katla (feat. Abby Gundersen) by Zander Hawley

Esperei por isso minha vida inteira SOS
U gotta give it to lucy atleast she didnt cheat on chris
She already did it .
I appreciate that, too. Adult stuff.
I will stop watching this show if they do anything to che😅nford.
Someone said, BUT what is the song called playing in the background of this scene with Tim and Lucy. I can't seem to find it, or who posted it.
What’s the background song?
And the Musik
