I didn’t like Ashley. I’d say it’s not personal, but I guess it is. It was a well written character, for a selfish girlfriend. She broke up with him, as soon as he woke up after surgery, first of all, who does that? And second of all, she said, I have no intention of ever being married, basically saying she dates for fun and she doesn’t want to be married because the way out is complicated. But if she’s not married she can end it when she wants and it’s safe. But that’s so selfish not to tell someone you’re dating that you have no intention of being married before you start things up with them. You’re wasting their time, they are getting ready and considering a future with you and you’re leading them on without prior warning. It’s different if this was a conversation and both of you have no intention on getting married or having kids. You might as well end it then, dating someone is like playing Russian roulette. Are they my future or are they a creep or someone who’s wasting my time? If you’re looking for a future with someone and they just date for fun, they deserve to know it’s not worth it.
