- In this video I go over the new mining update that will be releasing soon. It is already up on the Alpha Server and has been there for a few weeks now. I go over a few changes and how it will affect my series.

UPDATE:
They removed mithril powder from chests but increased the amount you get from dwarven mining by a lot, still easier to get max powder but now you have to grind them separately. Also I have no idea when the update is dropping at this point.
Am I tripping? I'm still getting mithril powder from treasures
@@denco0p the update hasn't dropped yet, it won't drop until next Tuesday (9/10/24) or at least that's what it seems
Im planning on gettign a mining setup and this vid on the upcomming update is very helpful, you adressed all the nerfs and buffs very well.
efficient miner now effects gemstones so the nerf on mining fortune makes since
efficient miner doesnt work on gemstones at all
no it doesnt and im pretty sure its impossible to get gemstone spread rn
as for the drills, keep in mind that the amount of mithril plates for x555 has been significantly reduced, but the amount needd for the 655 is increased
@johannes652 yeah I saw that, I think it's the same amount in total, just split differently to make it make sense

I don't personally think it'll be releasing tomorrow, simply because there are a bunch of issues currently with respect to maniac miner and that sort of thing (27k fortune in one ability use...)
@@thepurityofchaos yeah 27k is crazy but I do expect them to give us back the fortune that they took from hotm one way or the other, as for update release, I sure hope not lol but that's what I read on forums

They probably nerfed mining fortune in order to counteract the inflation within the game
They already nerfed mining like 7 times since releasing crystal hollows, clearly it's not working as far as inflation goes

1 they like updating on tuesdays visible from past updates 2 the alpha server closed today

bro is incredibly misinformed. at the end of the video you said they doubled the amount of both powders from powder chests, wrong. they removed mithril powder from crystal hollows chests but doubled gemstone powder to make up for it. mithril powder is still easy to get via dwarven events however. also they changed drill costs around so most of the line is cheaper, and 655 costs the most in terms of mithril plates now.
also the update did not drop yesterday. we guessed it might, but it was never confirmed. just an educated guess
still doesn't matter because you can get way more powder from dwarven mining so my point still stands: it is easier to get max powder
drill costs are the literal same just split differently, doesn't matter how you look at it, it's the same amount of mithril plates in total.

@EmnauelArazi for now take advantage of the update not being released yet, use treasure chests, once the update drops I think they made it so that you can get a couple 100k powder from Dwarven mining so it should be ok
