I can’t find a radio, adapters, or panels for the 2014 limited. It is very similar to that dash. Any online recommendations or links would be super appreciated.
Hi, 2014 - 2016 older body Impalas were only sold as fleet vehicles so it is a bit harder to find. Check car-part.com for any salvage close to you that might have the parts you need
Has anyone ever removed the box that the radio sits in? I need to get behind it to replace an actuator, my hands are too big to grab it from under the dash
i bought a cop car . i am trying to get radio working it is dead no juice. the cop radios or whatever they had in it is gone but they crudely cut wires removing cop crap. i want to fin d out where wire goes into engine artea can you advise me . thank you
Hi, not sure I can help you. I used to resell ex cop cars and they almost always did that. Cut something somewhere to get their equipment out, depending on the department. I had a guy who often just pulled new wiring to the fuse box when we couldn't figure something out. Unfortunately I don't have a wiring diagram for impala.
Hey I know this video is 2 years old but I was wondering if you have any videos on putting a new aftermarket radio in. It’s way to difficult for me 😂to
@@scoutzmarks2410 No not really. Best you can do is head to audio shop and show what kind of radio you are installing. they should have a wiring harness and dashboard kit for your type of radio and once you have that it is very easy
I can't really recommend anything. I know Metra brand is decent. I usually get something at a local audio store once I know what kind of aftermarket radio I'm installing in
Whats the cause of no sound on signal lights or hazards power to the head unit but no sound as well . Is the head unit dead or is it a ground wire I use to hear a winning sound when you would accelerate now I don't even hear that sound would come from speakers too any ideas what I can do ?
I hope you already have it installed but try putting the ground on the car body and make sure to scrape away the paint, I had the whining noise in my subs, turned out to be a bad ground
Thanks. Very clear and straight to the point. Now i can change mine. And thanks for the information about the radio code. How if at all will that effect aftermarket radios?
You're most welcome. Aftermarket radios will not be locked and will not ask for the code. You will need proper wiring harness and dashboard kit to install aftermarket radio

THANK YOU! Your explanation was clear and easy to follow! ♥
You are so welcome! :)
How do you find the radio code on the radio ?
You would have to call Chevy Dealership with vehicle serial code and radio serial code. They usually charge around $50

Hi sorry never recorded it. You will need a wiring harness and you could need a dashboard kit depending on the type of radio you are putting in
@@QuiteAlright thanks man, we figured that out after about 2 hours of fooling with it 😭. Do you have any links to tutorials that go in depth?

Do I need a 4 digit code for an aftermarket radio, or just for an original replacement? Thanks!
Just for original radio. For aftermarket you will need wiring harness and radio dashboard kit
