    This is same way as Japanese TV show. A taxi driver have usually a good restaurant because they are going around a town and know not only map but also more information to get lots of customers👥

    That bowl of beef noodle is really worth it for $ 5 . So much Beef and ingredients !!! This hawker foodcentre dishes look really nice and authentic. Ghib, you are really a Singapore foodie.....you know what is wok- hey even ! Eating is great past- time in Singapore .
    You know, you can compile your eating adventure in a book titled
    "Makan or Eat...where to go" ?

    Toa Payoh Lor 1, Blk 128, Che Rose Nasi Pandang - this one also knock out GOOD. Sotong soup, Rendang Beef, Sambal Chicken! Then go to the opposite hawker center 10m away, 2nd floor, got the hand made char siew pau, also worth your time and the Fish Head Noodles. The Hockien Mee Tian Tian Lai.

    This is one of my favourite hawker centres in Singapore. It has a wide selection of food stalls to choose from, many offering delicious dishes to tuck into. At any time of the day until 3am, you can get something nice to eat. Try out fried fritters, kway chup, hokkien mee, char kuay teow, Teochew seafood beehoon, Szechuan cuisine, minced pork noodles in soup, chendol. Then go to the adjacent coffeeshop Epic Haus to wash down your meal with a pint of German beer.
    Previously, there were 2 groups of buskers performing there on Fri and Sat nights, one inside the hawker centre and one outside in the plaza. Don't know whether they have resumed.

    You should head East to Bedok (10 hawker centres) and then head West to Clementi (4 hawker centres but Clementi is a smaller estate)... Then maybe Ang Mo Kio (8 hawker centres). After all these old neighbourhoods usually have the best food...

  • @cqlimsg
    @cqlimsg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should try the Amoy street food center " Teochew Beef kuey teow soup with mixed beef ingredients" it's the best brot and had good depth to the soup. There are two beef noodle stall. The one run by an old 70+ couple at the ground floor in back of building nearer to toilets.
    Very humble old couple doing this for over 40 yrs. Best in class.

    This is a great series and quite professionally done! Beef noodles is not that uncommon, but not all are great. Usually people order the dry version. Dry beef noodles in SG usually means noodles with a thick syrupy sauce like the lor mee type and the soup served separately. The lime is supposed to be squeezed into the chili sauce LOL! $5 looks very worthwhile. Wonder if it's because you were holding a camera?
    Also, it is a must to have chinese sausage aka lup cheong (without it is rare hahaha) in char kway tiao! It looks not bad not like those very wet ones.
    That's grass jelly not gula melaka jello. Like the grass jelly drink you get from soya bean drink stalls. They will usually add it in ice kacang.

    If you like fried carrot cake, Toa Payoh West Market & Food Centre @ Block 127 Toa Payoh Lorong 1 has arguably the best one in Singapore. They're called Chey Sua Carrot Cake, and queues are constantly upwards of 30-45 mins, but it's always worth the wait. Highly recommend checking them out, and definitely order more than the smallest portion cos you will want more!!

    I had the great opportunity to live in this marvelous city state for nearly 8years since my working days with keppel shipyard. 2001 to 2008. And the impression that I have about this beautiful city state is that it has limit less quality life style to offer . One thing to be notice is that it keeps developing 24x7 . Every thing about singapore is exciting whether its the food it has limitless to offer as far food is concerned.... The MRT is another factor which adss to it's charm.....each and every mrt station is well connected with huge malls and also with the Beautiful and so accessable bus transit system . And ofcourse I don't have to mention about the people so well behaved and stylish and the buildings roads the work culture the quality of services the green and clean environment.....is something which cannot be described in words. 1. Lor mee stall
    2. Kway chap stall that sells out VERY QUICKLY in the morning
    3. Last but not least the beef noodles you had I RECOMMEND U TRY THE DRY VERSION YOU WILL LOVE IT EVEN MORE THAN THE SOUP, THEY POUR THIS STICKY AND ROBUST GRAVY ALL OVER THE NOODLES GIVING A VERY DEEP FLAVOUR TO THE DISH and would also serve some soup on the side.

    Yes that's right "Queue Length" is surely one reliable indicator because most Singaporeans are practical people and we don't want to use our time waiting for food that is not so good. However sometimes too long a queue at one stall may cause hawkers of other stalls besides it feel very "sian" ah 😅😅
