My long term (1 year) review after moderate daily use:
It is holding up VERY good, with daily moderate use and heavy loading on my occasional trips.
A few threads were loose here and there, but instant glue fixed that.
The outside bulging pockets on this pack means, that inside you get a LOT of space even after putting lots of stuff on the outer packs.
The charging port is, unfortunately, USB type 2.0 which means it charges very slowly. But there are USB 3.0 cables of the same size on Amazon, you just need to look
Taking it on the plane? If you load it to its max, then it won't fit under the seat, but that's understandable because it's a HUGE backpack (I got the 18.4 model).
Things that just take this backpack to the next level? Compression packing cubes (I took along clothes for 7 days in this single backpack), carabiner hooks, a USB 3.0 port that fits this socket, one or two good quality locks, and a paracord handle wrap.
All in all I love this thing. I paid a huge amount, importing it from the States to India, but I feel it was worth every penny

That strap on the back is a luggage pass through - so you can hook it right to a rolling luggage handle

I ended up buying the 18.4 inch bigger version, this thing is huge! Only complaint is that they could have made the side walls a bit firm, so that the bag will stand upright even when empty (as it is, it will sag). They could have kept a keychain hook inside. Of course, these can be fixed somewhat with a little bit of tinkering.
Other than that, I'm loving this backpack. I just received it recently so i don't know much about the durability of course.

Considering this bag. How is it holding up? And is the 18 inch possible to bring as a carry on in an airplane, or is it too big?

The pocket on the back is a more secure place to put valuables like your passport.

Considering this bag. Would you buy the 17 inch again or go bigger? Traveling for a weekend severeal times a year with myself and my 6-yearold.

It really just comes down to how much you actually pack. This bag fits my needs but i’m also one person. If you pack light then this is for you. But two people I would probably go bigger. Thanks for the comment please consider subscribing

Is there a bigger version of this backpack? This one is like 17.3 inches, most stores except one show that size only... You have any idea about that?
