Yes, cuz I love that melody
Bullies know who to bully…but usually when you speak up for yourself and put that bully in his/her place, they leave you alone!
Exactly how I feel!
Yes girl being assertive in these type of environments is KEY
I’d imagine they go to the higher up in nursing and cry to them about you standing up for yourself. I just became a nurse aid so I don’t know. I haven’t experienced anything like that but working and other retail and warehouse work I have.
Bully mentality and mean girl nursing is definitely in the hospital. After working in LTC for 15 yrs the hospital is a different world
They don’t like when you stand up for yourself. When you do that then you are the bully!
Always blows my mind how people act like nurses can't be there for a check. The entire purpose of the facility is to make money. So sick of the gaslighting and manipulation that comes with that.
I love the segment on bullying and I definitely agree with that on how it’s important not to continue to ask for help for the same thing . One thing that helps me working at a rehab hospital now is to assess my day on the way home . I ask myself what is something I learned ? What is something I could have done better ? One thing i am excited to do is a blood transfusion every time I start the process as far as doing the type and screen the night nurse always ends up having to do it on night shift bc the process there is long as far as getting the work up done . Great video Nurse B I always love your transparency.
Thank you for saying that , I always though that how being in the hospital should be easier then the nursing home
It's easier yet still hard at the same time. Less patients but at times it still feels like the same workload, yet you aren't spread SO thin and without resources like not having something as simple as needles.
I went to management and end up getting terminated in April because my bully filed a counter complaint. I gave this female bully so many opportunities and I just couldn’t tolerate it anymore. It was either cuss her a* out or just report her. I knew the possibility of the outcome since I’ve seen how it turned out for others but it didn’t matter. The female clique also tried to claim I was the bully and mean. I said how am I mean when I’m quiet and keep to myself? Make it make sense!? They now got a lawsuit against them. 😂
Omgosh nurse b! ur in ur hospital rn nurse era. Learning so much new skills and stuff . Yayyyyyy 🩷🩷🩷 and u look so cute love it 4 u
Aww thx boo. You’ve been around for a min, thx for showing love. I’m contemplating applying for another department in the hospital, I’m kind of comfortable and the pay is good but I know in the long run it will benefit me more to get diverse experiences not just med surg
@@yourfavnurseb9699 you're so very welcome yes I have been around a while when you were doing long term care agency I'd totally relate to your long term care experiences ! And I am glad you are doing good in med Surg. I know not much of hospitals but if u can do the med Surg I've heard u can do almost any other unit so go for it !
When dealing with bullies just cover your tracks, cross your Ts and dot your I.. they try to catch you slipping because they hate themselves
Omg yes, why do people do this!?! The job should be keeping you busy if you have this much time you aren’t being challenged so you need to change specialists or something. No one should have that much time to bully another nurse, people suck…
@@yourfavnurseb9699 hurt ppl hurt ppl…misery loves company..Happy ppl are to consumed in their own happiness and joy
Great advice as always....❤
Thank you!
Very good advice! And uh I don’t work for free…ever, especially taking care of whole adults!
That part.
I dealt with this. It doesn’t help when the DON is apart of the click. I just left and found another job. It was a very toxic environment and you couldn’t get around working with those individuals because they were shift supervisors. I did share my experience with others and they started to stand up for themselves. I told management about my experience and honestly it made it even more uncomfortable because everyone knew what I shared. There was gossiping going on. People would call off if they didn’t want to work with certain people. It was just bad.
I worked at a place that didn’t pay. Nurses had the cops called on them when they tried to cash their check at a bank the company banks with. Walmart and check cashing places refused to cash the checks because the bounce rate. It was crazy . The owner ended up going to jail for fraud. He sent money to Israel and investigators from Medicaid had him shut down.
Been through it!
Read a book about it called, Cant Sit With Us: Nurses Devour Their Young by Lamere! The author hit the nail on the head!!
lol oh wow, you literally read the book about it.
Lol😂
Nah you get paid for the hard work you put in. Now show me you appreciate it with a gift for Nurse week 😂
That’s a good way of looking at it. I just say don’t get your hopes up. 😝
