When I was getting married and I was talking about buying my husband's wedding band women around me (including my mom) looked at me like I had three heads. In these days it feels like it's not issue of the black community but western society in general.
Western Society is off the rails, feel like it's the season finale to a show that was a banger but is going out sad. Most men (the ones that I know) don't want a super fine woman, they want a woman that will be a real companion through ups and downs and most including myself see the lack thereof as the biggest obstacle in finding a partner. Things I do for my husband that I started prior to marriage to show my commitment: -Wake him up by rubbing feet with lotion -Clip his toenails -Cook, clean and do his laundry -Let him chose movies/tv shows we watched -get him very special personalized gifts -Agreed to him having final say on decisions for our family once married (this has been amazing). The more I give, the more I do and the more I work on being better has come back tenfold. My husband goes above and beyond for me and I am truly lucky.

I always question the motives of women that come in here bragging about what they do for their husbands. What is your purpose? What validation are you trying to get? Are you trying to get kudos from other men besides your husband? Are you trying to make other women jealous?
And race has nothing to do with anything. There are women from every race who know how to treat their husbands. They just don’t feel the need to come on TH-cam and tell everyone about it. All they care about is what their husband thinks of it - not some random men (or women) on the internet 🧐.

OM, I just remembered I met a guy and I really dug him, because of a lot of reasons. And I invested in him and purchased some African Art made of teakwood. It was called the Thinker, as he seemed deliberate with his words. It was not his birthday, it was because I was thinking about him when I saw it. We are not together, and I found out later on he was scandalous. That's why we didn't make it. He didn't treat me the same, as i treated him. Oh well, I ghosted him.
