This video is fantastic! You and I are alike in that I too have a need to cart my entire studio out with me just in case that one item was the one item I didn’t bring. I generally find packing light for a holiday difficult too. We stand out because we know how to pack a lot into our bags ❤️😊🤔😳🤷🏼‍♀️👩🏻‍🎨🖌🎨

I love my Etchr bags (field case and slate-mini), they’re great for on the go. When I was researching Etchr field cases over a year ago, i watched a lot of videos so I’d see what people put in them and how much they can hold. Let me just say, yours is the absolute fullest I have ever seen! You must be awesome at packing a carry-on or filling the trunk of the car and making use of every possible space 😂.
I use my Frazer Price palette at home because I don’t have a bag that will hold it. That bag definitely allows you to take a lot of paint, pens and supplies!! Again, you really know how to make the most of the space you have available. Your on-the-go bags remind me of your various palettes and how they are filled with the maximum amount of paint. That’s awesome!! ❤

Thank you FaithAnn. Yes people have giggled at my get everything in the smallest box possible syndrome. I like to use my space wisely. I actually got that peak bag to fit my brass palette. That little darling of a palette fit no place!

I decide on what to take according to the time I have allocated for it. Generally in a 3 hour period I can do 3 sketches: one watercolour, one pencil and one water soluble graphite or ink sketch. The big bag would be more suited for a holiday or travel overseas, in my view.

hello was wondering if a sketchbook of 8.3" x 5.3" fits in the Peak design bag?

It would be a tad too big, 4x6 would fit. Thank you Joannah.

I've watched a lot of art travel bag videos. I'm an artist and fountain pen lover, but don't quite understand the Kaweco Sport fountain pens. Do you sketch with colored fountain pen ink??? but fp ink isnt waterproof? And the technical pens will clog up if left sitting filled. So do you carry them empty and fill when needed and clean upon returning home? By my way of thinking the technical pens would not work well in a travel kit. I only use mine in my studio. I've just not seen anyone else use so many fountain pens or the technical pens in a travel kit...I've found the Uni pen fine liners to be a better choice for my travel kit. Not trying to disparage your kit, just trying to understand how you came to the choices...and how often you use this kit...thanks in advance.

It is the case where I keep all my fountain pens. The Kaweco are filled with Sketch Ink waterproof, in color, they don’t dry up or clog if used at least once a month. The Twsbi are different nibs, fine, x-fine, 1.1 and fude, have black in them, sketch ink and platinum carbon. The technical pens are for really fine lines and I use the waterproof ink that comes with most of them. I haven’t had any clog or dry up. The Twsbi pens can really take anything you put them through. I do sketch in color, blacks, brown and blue more than others. Pens match color ink in most cases. It’s a bit much but I really enjoy, and like having them all in one place, either to go or stay in. Thank you so much for writing in the comments!

@@RaspberryColors I have several Kaweco pocket pens and a couple of TWSBI pens. I love my Draco used primarily for Journaling and my 3 Kaweco AL Sports are Coffee, Red carbon fiber and the violet. Love them but have not considered them sketching pens. I'll have to give them a try. Can you tell me the brand of waterproof sketching ink you use? I use mostly Iroshizuki inks and my only waterproof ink is the black Rotring ink that is for my technical pens. Thanks for the conversation. I'm always interested to learn from yhe experiences of other artists...

It seems like it's not worth the cost. The pockets look too tight to be useful. Even the front picket you can't use. It's a basic 80.00 pencil case. Crazy. You'd be better off with Let's go sketching or Art Tool Kit bags

It’s working well for me. Holds the fatter brass palette when nothing else would. The Etcher pencil case holds so much also and is well made.
The just go sketching kits do look nice, I have not tried it yet. Thank you.
