Do you recommend the E200 gasoline or this E220? I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, the E220 is a 2002 ((still w210)) and E200 is a 2000 so idk, I'd like a newer one, but the loud diesel noise is putting me off a bit.
You’re wrong about the engine not being reliable. They’re atleast as reliable as the predecessor, someone i know still drives with the same engine almost 700.000kms.
i just bought one with 631000km, it had the bottom end replaced in mercedes at 350000km because a leaking injector ruined one of the pistons. When i got it it didnt run perfect, sometimes on 3 cylinders and a lot of smoke, i removed the injectors and the nozzles were really dirty. If i remember i will write an update with cleaned injectors and all new filters and seals on the engine and repaired EGR system because the previous owner partially disabled it, but im shure it will run great, it always had reagular oil changes and started up instandly even with the dirt injectors
Thanks! Yeah I’d also say the same about the headlights. The W211 looks better for me objectively. Stay tuned by the way, I’m releasing a video on that soon
I have a little screen for my ac and heated seats buttons above it, can you tell me what car/package I have? All i know is that it is an E200CDI 2001 but I can’t find any with the same interior as mine. Thanks!
When it comes to reliability, unfortunately you really cannot “rely” on a Merc no matter how much you maintain it. It will breakdown on you at some point talaga. Just saying na compared to other more modern Mercs, reliable naman itong model. If this will be your only car, go Camry nlng siguro, pero if may extra car naman, pwede to hehe
In my opinion I dont like the design of this generation e class at all but especially the round headlamps ruins the entire design. But the Interior is great.
@@KyleLiongCarslets say something like the one you own before, i assume u had? Btw those wagon type are B plates, are they stock LHD or converted? Thanks in advance
Mine was fine. It had a bunch of issues with the ABS/SRS/VSC system, but otherwise drivable. There are a few non-B plate wagons here too. All that I know of are stock LHD. There might be outliers though. Japan used to get a lot of LHD Euro cars despite being a RHD country.

The guy does not know what a great car he is driving. The engine is probably the best ever made, low consume, enough power for a normal driver. The best E class ever made. Problems? Yes, if you use it for short trips with time you will have to clean the whole admision and injection system because the car was made for just the opposite: long trips, if possible in highways and around 140 kmp/h. With the proper maintenance and right driving it could last millions of kilometers of great trips.
Ooh make sure to check it well for any major issues given its mileage. For 1000 Euros though, that’s a steal 😍😍 The cheapest we can get any W210 here even if it’s not running is around 2000 Euros.

The diesel noise gets endearing after a while hahaha
W210, not w220, as for black sterring wheel its normal to be like that, only pre facelift are in same colour as seats.

W/S mode on the shifter stands for summer and winter, in winter mode the car is starting to kove in second gear
Common misconception is that S stands for summer while apparently it’s standard, but yes, the description for each is correct
does anyone know the fuel economy for this car or the gasoline version?

Yes meron naman parts and it’s pretty reliable. If you’re getting one though, I suggest going for the gas models kasi more parts available.
