Hello! I have bought one that is DC only and I want to convert it to DCC. Have you tried that? Do you have any input? I have dismantled my Kato Allegra but cannot figure out how to convert it. Main issue is that the two "chassie halfs" that lead the track power are directly connected to the motor and no space to isolate the motor and get any decoder cable to the motor.
Hi, apologies for taking a while to reply. Sadly I haven't tried that, but it must be possible to isolate the motor. Maybe with kapton tape as it should be thin enough to fit between motor and chassis?
