This was definitely a great demo, Andy. Could you get your hands on an ARP Pro-DGX (if you don’t have one already) and do an A.B. comparison with this SH-1000? That would seem like some kind of logical comparison demo, since the 1000 reminds me of the DGX in a few respects.
I've had mine for 50 years now and it still does it. Later I added 2 Minimoogs and a Prophet 5. The problems that existed back then (tuning Minimoogs etc.) are now old news. 😉
Cool opening from the Ewf’s track Starlight, they might have even used the same synth? You nailed it mate👍so cool and extremely funky sounding synth❤👍🤟
My First synth..It was very cool! The tabs stuck out and started breaking! Later traded it in on a brand new Minimoog in 1974 and got away from the Roland cheesy sound and got in to Jan Hammer and real synths!!
wow - so you have written of 25% of all the classic synths - including the Jupiter 8 - impressive - anyway - the Moog is one fat mother!!! While the SH1000 is sweet!

I found the sound and immediately thought of EWF- yes they quite likely did it on an sh1000!😄
Fantastic 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I see Cardiacs in the description, do you happen to know of some of their songs that used this instrument?
I've looked - I don't know which tracks - but apparently they used a SH-1000
