I agree. I really like this knife but got a little sticker price when I saw what they were charging. WE Knives has being consistently raising prices for about a year and a half as far as I’ve noticed. It really should have come in around $225 for the full titanium in my opinion.
I agree but I can also understand the prices with the economy now a days. I'd prefer to buy American made myself but these days american makers just suck ass for the most part. It seems there's always some kind of problem with the knife with American makers weather it be lock rock, blade wobble, blade centering, or messed up grinds and edges. On top of all that it costs over double for an American made knife with the same materials and even then you risk there being problems with the knife. Knife makers over seas are just blowing American makers out of the water with their knife designs and the quality and materials as well and all for half the damn price! So yeah some companies like WE may be raising their prices but it's hard to blame them at the same time when they know their knives are in another ballpark and they could easily charge more and people will still buy them.

Agreed. I don’t own any WE knives but the quality looks like it’s (usually) there. I think you made some really great points and I’m going to drag benchmade into this because I do think they have some overpriced knives-like certain versions of the bugout. But on the other hand, one of my absolute favorite knives is the 591 BK boost. Pry tip. Not the greatest slicer in the world. Not even close. However, to have basically a multi tool- knife/ screwdriver/ prybar for $160 is fantastic. I’ve used it for many different projects at home and it passes with flying colors every time. And it’s USA made (as everyone knows). Their titanium Osborne 20 year edition was $350 and that was easier to justify. We knives should take a lesson.

342… yeah they got me fucked up. Don’t understand how the WE vision was 250 and this is 340 with the same materials and blade. Shit with that amazing super lock I’d justify 300 for the vision. Yet the thug is still more 💀
We vision is definitely the best to come out this year. They need to do more like it with that 250 maybe less pricing.
One has contoured titanium scales and a compound grind, both of which are harder to do and always bring cost up.
When I first encountered WE Knives many moons ago, I thought the manufacturing quality was good. But still had room for improvement. Now I would say they are one of the best out there. That being said, I agree that this model is overpriced. You can get the limited edition Reiver for $40 less. Yes you get 20CV on the Thug vs. S35VN on the Reiver. But the Reiver was much more milling. So why the $40 cost difference. Could that have something to do with royalties to Christensen knives? I love the design. But not for an extra $40 or more.

A Spyderco Stretch XL in Cruwear steel and G10 is 284… I don’t think this knife in full titanium at 299 is all that horrible…

Prices on chinese knives are gonna go up significantly this year. I predict a 25% price jump. It has already begun and WE are not the only ones to do so.
Absolutely sick looking knife
I actually laughed out loud when I saw the price for this. On a website in Canada it was $535 for the shredded carbon fibre and $463 for the ti .that 397 usd and 347 usd respectively
A micarta version would be sick as well. But WE and Civivi's micarta is a little meh in my opinion

The Malibu is also pretty high but it's made in the USA. Costs WAY more to make. Gotta judge them fairly 👍

It ist "just" a nice and good looking titanium framelock, no rocket science (anymore).
I am not gonna pay this, so i will pass on that one or get it on the secondary.
