The Swiss national anthem is called "Schweizerpsalm" in German, which translates to "Swiss Psalm" in English. It is also commonly known by its French title, "Cantique suisse," and its Italian title, "Inno svizzero." The anthem does not have an official title in Romansh, the fourth national language of Switzerland.
The music for the Swiss national anthem was composed by Alberich Zwyssig in 1841, and the lyrics were written by Leonhard Widmer. It was officially adopted as the Swiss national anthem in 1981.
