Another excellent film Dave! Thank you!
Cheers Kelly
Dave, great video. Thank you for creating these and for promoting the shooting sports.
cheers👍
What a fantastic day lovely scenery thank you Dave will look forward to next video.
cheers Kieth
Your videos never fail to put a smile on my face, Dave. It looked like you had those birds figured out from the second shot! Your comment about knocking on farmer's doors asking for permission to shoot on their land took me back to thinking about some of the most unforgettable characters I've met over lot of years, as I'm sure you have too. Thanks and best regards to Old England from New England.
thanks Edward
Amazing photography, stunning setting, and great shooting. Well done. Excellent video Dave
thanks Magnus
Just like to say thank you for these videos, the shooting, scenery and cinematography is second to none.
I started shooting after stumbling across these videos in August and awaiting my license any time now. Can't wait to get some practice in and hopefully be ready to get out in the countryside for next year's season.
Keep up the good work and Thanks to Dave for the sterling job he does of promoting shooting and fieldsports.
Thank you for your kind comments they are much appreciated, i am very pleased that you have decided to start shooting and i hope you have many great days out.
I can tell just from the first 2 minutes that you're a man after my own heart, and I love what you're saying. Days of youth spent fishing and shooting are irreplaceable and I'm happy you're making these videos.
Thanks, we need to do more and more
Thanks for taking us along to another amazing place and shoot.
👌
Fantastic video love to see the children involved great to see all the game used well done👍👍👍
Thanks
Another enjoyable offering Dave, keep it up!
Cheers Greg
Excellent video Dav , scenery beautiful. Looks like you had a brilliant day.
great time
Very lucky to have shot here this year. Back to back days as Dave suggested. Absolutely brilliant time by our team of guns. First class hospitality with cracking shooting. Every type of speed & height of bird presented in a very sporting way. I've shot grouse in the past & this was just as challenging.
That was bloody awesome dave, you mentioned that you had been unwell in the video, I hope you are better and in good health all the best and keep em coming awesome videos
Thanks Derrek i am much better now
Wow such a fantastic film one of the nicest films you have done simply beautiful Dave

Absolutely Stunning Video! Well Done.
thanks Robbie
Another great film. Stunning scenery, what a fantastic place. Again, good to see you talking to everyone and great to see the youngsters being involved. I like to hear you talking about the game being eaten and how good it is. I am sure if this message got across to more people then they would soon realise what can come from a days shooting. Enjoyed it Dave, thanks again. Ps, next Saturday is our shoots 1st day, can't wait.
thanks Adrian, hope you have a great day out
Hello Dave!!
My English it s so bad for saying all what i feel watching this video...
All is what i ll dream to live!
Landscapes, fantastics, shooting views, music...atmospher..thank you so much, you are a very lucky man !!
thanks Fred
Fantastic video Dave, excellent looking birds and shooting. For more of the grouse / grouse butt feel am sure some extra pallets as a butt and some butt sticks would make a fantastic addition. Hope to see more of this kind of partridge shooting appearing.
absolutely agree with you
I live vicariously through your wonderful videos. You look fit and are shooting as well as ever. All best regards for continued good health!
Thankyou Frank - much appreciated
David What a pleasant nice lad the young beater was ,you do give so many of these youngsters encouragement which helps gives them confidence in their selves .

Thank goodness your well Dave keep up the good work, keep fit and healthy your looking great, enjoy life you only get one go at it.
Thanks Paul
Pinch a few rabbits did-ya, you young bugger, that made me laugh. Loved every minute of that the young lad you chatted with said it all. Thank you so much Mr. Dave Carrie, I'm originally from Yorkshire get home as often as I can from Canada, I'll be out deer hunting in two weeks, but in the mean time I might get lucky on some Rough Grouse, here in the hardwoods of Ontario.
Thankyou and i do hope you have a great season
Great film Dave I love that gun you have there and the stock profile ,lovely gun. You put in a good walk be safe it looks bit steep. I enjoyed
Thanks D

Some good sport that good video Dave Carrie 💪🏻
thanks lewis
Dave you have so many untold stories, like me we have lived a bit.
Great British Sporting Icon. 👍🏻
Thanks James
Dangerous shooting!!!
Something I always needed to do but time wasn't right with work and now Wife health has been giving us some trouble and mine now also and waiting for results. GREAT video and I loved it and thank you.
Hope you realise your dream one day Gerard!!
Once again wonderful video
thanks
I love how in England grouse is considered rich mans game and in Scandinavia it's one of the easiest game to access.
Our driven Wren drives are much harder.
We call them chukar in America. That’s what they were shooting looked like to me? What we call grouse are quite a bit bigger.
In rep of ireland its free to shoot on kind permission from land owners when a member of a gun club.rough shooting we do don't think I'd like that standing up in Marks dressed up like a twat.
Blimey Dave...healthy new look! It’s been awhile cheers
trying my best👍
This is the fast and furious style that most of my shots in the states come with woodcock flying in corkscrews and pheasants flushing from my pointers in unknown directions lol. Love it. Would love to partake one day in driven shooting.
you are going to have to push the boat out one day and come and experience our wonderful shooting sports
Dear Dave its always a pleasure watching your videos i have been hunting with my father since the age of 10 started with 410. I really have learned alot from your shooting diaries. Stay blessed and keep on sharing amazing videos. With best Regards from Pakistan
Thankyou Sardar Imran, your comments are most welcome and respect to your Father

Stay healthy, we need you!
i doubt that i am needed but i will stay as healthy as i can
Fair play to you Dave that was some smart shooting , nothing on the end of the barrels, every shot taken at a good distance . If I trip over a few grand that place is going on my 'bucket list'
Thanks
its amazing, thank you
Brilliant!
👍
love it. all of it.
👌👍
Poor man's grouse? Dead man's grouse swinging though like that!!!
Not as long as there is sun under the barrel. Pretty simple premise, and safe with a shotgun. Plus the camera makes it look worst.
Hello from Alabama, jolly good shooting my man!
thankyou Sandy
You do a great service to tourism in the UK. I’m planning my next trip.
hope you have a great experience
Thank you David. I thoroughly look forward to it.
Absolutely love watching your programs you put together so thank you.. You need to write an autobiography..??
i would finish up in jail😂😂
Hi Dave ,this video took me back to my shooting days in scotland! my uncle jock was game keeper on the Logan Estates near Stranraer, Logan estate new Galway! Lock ryan we got free shooting form the local farmers for a bottle of Grouse whisky!
we had great duck and goose shooting, Hare drives (not now in fashon) you are right if people as you say like Patton and corbin have there way countryside sports and more importantly the upkeep of the moors and hillsides will be lost and are they then going to pay for all these working farm hands and estates to be sat at home on the Dole? the politicians have to re value there position and realise they are the ones in the minority and not to play about with a well established country way of life and all the hard work and inheritance that goes with it! by the way dave i take it you are a Yorkshire man as i am where are you from!
nice interesting Video!
i am from Barnsley area, great story and reminiscent of many a true tale of how most of us got to love the countryside so much 👌
@@DaveCarrieShooting Thanks for the Reply Dave! Im Pete, (Piere) i Live in Featherstone, I loved your long distance Moors shooting and HIgh Pheasants, as this is my favorite, stemming from my wildfowling days on the foreshore on the Solway firth! your not bad at
it !!! if you have any local meets or small shoots i would be very interested in meeting you even if its only for a laugh and to say hello! I now clay pigeon shoot at Park Lodge Snaith, where the David you know is now the Gun shop Proprietor!
yours
Pete!
Fear not the weapon but the man that wields it. Dave puts the fear of God into the feathered game.
Cheers whatever it means👍
@@DaveCarrieShooting meaning you can put a shotgun in anyone's hand but does not guarantee they can bring down birds. Takes a true expert like Dave to make a double sing like that. Birds should fear him.
@@Bahamascott68 got it and thanks for the nice comments, much appreciated
Excellent vid
cheers
Some nice crossing birds shot Dave , would be nice to meet you when you come down to Cornwall to shoot with Martin Elworthy and myself, great video Dave
thanks Colin, got a lot of great memories of my times in Cornwall with Martin
Great video, U seem like a really nice person!
thankyou - you are most kind
simple and nice.
I’ve enjoyed so many years of grouse beating then promoted to flanking and working my dogs but due to back injury it’s got too much for me, but I miss it so much and if a surgeon could rectify my back problem I’d be up on those moors as fast as a grouse could fly. But I have so many wonderful memories and more importantly I met some great people from royalty to many great friends. And if I could turn back the clock I’d do it all over again.
Great memories Jonathan
Fine shooting sir.
thanks Phil
Dear Dave
Here in USA the entrenched views on bird shooting are hard to break.
Everything is walked up on either planted birds, or rarely wild birds on the open plains. Ruffed Grouse a scarce and connoisseur treat. Very sparse and you walk many miles over superb English Setters,
has its own appeal i suppose
I’m the boy Ryan it was really good
Good job to you and your brother for putting a hard day's work. You honor your parents. Keep it up!!!
It’s not actually my brother it’s just a person I go up with but he is a good laugh
Well done Ryan. I am watching this in Australia and am planning a trip to see your highlands again.
As a yank, I must admit I've never hunted birds in a dress shirt and tie. Different world over there!
You should come over and try it. If god made anything better he kept it to himself.
Love it Dave, those birds were like bloody rockets pal
If you need two guns for next year give Blaine n me a shout next September 😉....oh Nicola is glad your back in bed with us pal😂
was a nice experience and certainly worth having a go, just too far for me, love to everyone👍
Bloody hell Dave respect your Fellow gun !! FFS 😔
Fantastic. Dave you can shoot extreme high pheasant and fast flying grouse . Your nearly as good as Rachel lol .
Dave I love it but my passion is heading out on the Hills with some raw boned Setters. Walking and hunting.
When you see these incredibly beautiful dogs pin a bird, just pointing, their bodies rigid . A sight worthy of an oil painting, dogs so majestic that they are heartbreakingly beautiful. Open invite to hunt in America over English Setters. 👍🏻
great memories are made with good dogs
Amazing
thankyou
I would go for the food !!
On my trips to Scotland we called them Rock Partridge! 😆👍🏻
Have to say I was going to say the same thing - Very surprised there were no Butt sticks as the birds were low and fast just like Grouse - Obviously I only have the video aspect which nearly always paints a different picture - Looks a great day though
thanks Giles my observations as is yours is quite popular!!
Would not like to stand in the next But, as I said before and as others are commenting on now, you'll get someone yet...
Is that as in Tulchan Lodge country house? Visited early 1990s amazing area
can see bad problems in the buts , and with the partridge in the bad weather when it comes in, x gamekeeper
i agree butt sticks needed, i do think they stop this type of shooting as the weather gets worse
Serious question. Every time I'm Scotland or Ireland its always raining. How do you go with the driving rain in your face? It is a nightmare to keep the glasses clear and the camera lenses clear while trying to focus on the hunt but you seem to miss the rain.
blessed are the righteous😂
🔥🔥🔥👍
Thanks for your kindness- I hope you continue to enjoy the films and I hope one day you realise your dream👍
Dave, can I take the opportunity to say what a gentleman and great ambassador for the sport and country folk you are. I have only just come to discovering your videos having been laid up for some time after doing myself a mischief. Very enjoyable and well presented. Hopefully I get out myself before long, I wonder if my guns are missing me too...
thanks for your nice comments they are much appreciated!! and hopefully you have a fast recovery and get back into the field asap
Was that Dave Carrie, or Eddie Jordan? 😉 What a Gentleman....
Eddie Izzard more like😂
Damn you boys ate good! 👍🏻
What loads are use for Grouse Shooting ?
Dave, great video. Wonderful location and scenery. Shame your shoooting was crap, as usual. (!!) Can we see if we can meet up somewhere this season? I rarely shoot nowadays, but love bringing my two fairly welltrained flatcoats to somewhere new. As you would say, 'think on 't'
Thanks David, if you are ever out on a shoot and i am there don't forget to come and introduce yourself for a good chinwag
Think they need butt sticks @min 10.12 Dave for the guy out on your right....!! Not like you to swing like that...!
Well at 10,28 the guy on the right is chatting away with Dave and he does not seem bothered so why are you? Cameras can be very decieveing
@@williecosgrove Don't be so defensive! We can only judge what is on the screen. Grouse drives have butt sticks for a reason also with the title poor man's grouse shooting.
Also the time frame I quoted was 10.12 not your fast fwd of 10.28....!!
@@theessexhunter1305 Man jealousy is an awful disease
@@williecosgrove Not being able to count is worse lol
I have to admit I was cringing as Dave swung thru the man on the right.
Great hunt 👍 which overunder shotgun U use
Fahad Khan thank you !! i use my Miroku MK60 32"
Gotta love some fast and furious shooting. Reminds me of a duck hunt I was on this year, the Teal just kept bombing by. Agree with others though, some very irresponsible shots appear to have been taken.
Nice. I got 94 green and bluewings last year, with another 230 mallards/browns/hoodies, and a banded black. And 85 geese. The freezer is full of brats, goose pastrami, and teal and some mallard for gumbo!
Very similar to home country in Washington
What is the music on this video please?
My grandma is from Leeds and she always talks about going back to visit and if she does I’d love to go with her. That being said as a Canadian am I able to participate in a UK hunt? Do I bring my own shotgun or do I have to rent one from an estate owner? How does a non UK resident hunt over there is possible
Hi Dillon, Magnus here, we can arrange everything for you this end, feel free to get in touch, you FAC find us on Facebook, the business is now called MCTSporting. All the best
I got me a high bird gun, a 1889 Stephen Grant bar action side lever hammer gun with new 31" barrels choked 35 and 45.
2.5 inch chambers's or reamed and reproofed for modern cartridges.

Do you find those 32" barrels a disadvantage in this type of driven shooting?
hi Mike
sometimes, i do have a pair of miroku 30" 1/4 3/4 never used them!! but should do really in these situations
Fred Dibnah, is that you?
some of them shots made me go bloody hell that close to that other person
sorry about that totally safe from my point of view but definitely butt sticks and two sides needed for safety
