Dear Hew, missed hearing from you. I agree with most of comments. I am disappointed with the Sheriff but much more with the LAPD chief who I had worked to elect Sheriff when he ran. MacDonald is a disappointment both as Sheriff and especially now as Chief during the fires. He sold his sole for a high salary. I grew up fighting brush fires in my neighborhood in Los Angeles. My tool was my dad's shovel.
Yes, Hugh, I first heard "outgas" forty - seven years ago. People who suffer from multiple chemical sensitivities have a continual problem with synthetics of many different kinds which haven't outgassed sufficiently. The opposite of something which has outgassed sufficiently for people who have this illness? A brand new automobile.
@bobtaylor170 Yup. The problem for people with chemical sensitivities is that a new car will kill them while used cars have very often been stuffed with "air fresheners" whose very function is to off-gas revolting asthma-inducing chemicals that last forever.
@Herman-f9m air fresheners come close to killing me. If Hugh were to Google "multiple chemical sensitivities," he would find that this is a real disease, with an assigned diagnostic code.
I'm surprised that Hugh has never heard the term "off-gas" before. Everybody knows about "the new car smell." What you're smelling is off-gassing of production chemicals from the plastic and leather components of the car. It's surprising Hugh hasn't heard of it because he's an environmental attorney. It's not something he would hear very often in zoning and permitting disputes, but I would have thought it would come up in conversation with other such attorneys.
They will learn nothing. Nothing.

Because you cannot skirt around a bad actor's plausible deniability, you cannot see what happened in LA.
I’ve heard of “off gases” before. But then I’m a chemist by training. I wouldn’t expect non-scientists to know the term.

Imagine what the rents are going to be now.
Hugh’s YT channel volume significantly lower than other channels. Please record on higher volume, Hugh!
hasn't the national guard been called up? I'm thinking about security against looting.
Der Ferrer has outlawed leaf blowers.
The point of using jargon is to make yourself sound smart and credible without communicating any knowledge.
Catholic Charities is a very left wing organization. Just sayin'
Hugh is not a trad.
They gave me a box of food stuffs in my small city when I was desperate. They seemed like the salt of the earth to me
I liked you in the morning

He asks THE AUDIENCE if they've "ever heard" the term. (4:18)
