@@downwithputinsaveukraine1313 I find its really making it hard to watch the playoffs. In general I would prefer that the refs under-call rather than inconsistently over-call the games. Lets just stick to the most egregious of penalties if the refs cant figure out what they’re doing. Stuff like that just ruins playoff games.
That third penalty on Svech is absolutely atrocious. 1: that's a strong shove at best. 2: completely ignores Sergachev cross-checking Aho right in front of him. How do you not see that... Also lame is the penalty on Martinook in the 2nd. That was so soft. Might as well call the majority of contact in hockey "boarding" now. Jake Bean's penalty: Jake was being stupidly reckless. kinda like the holding the stick call in over time on kucherov last game (you can make that call every time two players are fighting over the puck) its part and parcel to hockey, some good calls, some bad, and a bunch missed.
You're really rationalizing a leaping hit to the jaw/chin with the shoulder as being 'soft'? If Kucherov did that you and everyone would be calling for a suspension, quit whining.
The hook from Staal at 1:29 doesn't look like a hook to me. I don't understand how you can be under someone and hooking them. Is it just that brief stick to the left around the knees at 1:30? Why wasn't Goodrow called for a slew foot at that?
Refs are missing so many calls in every game it's getting hard to figure out who betmin wants to win now And man, those first penalties, save it for the hotel room, boys
I agree. I’ve had it with the NHL this year. This year‘s officiating has been some of the worst I have ever seen. I’m not speaking as a salty Canes fan, but as a hockey fan. The officiating has gotten well out of hand and needs to be put in check.
1st Canes - Bad call (especially for the playoffs) 2nd Canes - Light call but affected a scoring chance 3rd Canes - Stick on skate (if he would have had his stick blade turned the opposite way, he prob would have gotten away with it) 1st Bolts - Stick on skate, easy call 4th Canes - Bad hit, went for the head 5th Canes - Obvious hold to prevent a 2 on 1 scoring chance 6th Canes - View from over the ref's shoulder looks like an elbow or forearm to the head (prob could have called Sergachev for x-check, but was more of a push than a hit) 2nd Bolts - either off-balance or sold it hard

Hello all...Caniac and season ticket holder here...the cold hard facts are this, the Canes always shoot themselves with too many unforced penalties. I also observe BS ref calls too. The bottom line is the Canes need to improve their passing, and penalty frequency. Especially in key moments in the game. It's been this way the last 3 seasons. Rod doesn't seem to do anything about. (If he can.) I will be there on Tuesday, hoping for a win. See you there.

They.. literally did beat you 5v5. Four times. Which is the same amount of total goals you scored, but not all of your goals were 5v5. So even if we were only counting 5v5 goals, Carolina still lost. ?????
NHL needs to allow video review for every call on the spot. Between missed calls and calls that are made, it’s ridiculous. Too many missed Tampa calls. I still think tampa wins anyway cause carolina’s power play was awful, but still.
