- This is a short video my church put together. It's my story of when I was going through fear, anxiety, depression, etc. I am uploading to show you guys that there is hope. You can and you will overcome your trials. All you have to do is call on the name of Jesus. I hope this encourages you to not give up. Keep pushing forward and trusting God and He will deliver you. He always will!!!

He heals in his timing not ours. But I know this to be true he's never late to deliver you, and he won't let you bear more than you can handle. Yes he will allow you go through some pain, some fear, some disappoints, but since you asked him for help before during and after he will be there for US.

I know how it feels, I want to take my own life at the moment but I have 3 kids and a loving wife but sometimes I can't take it anymore, god my life is in hands,
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose-I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]"
You can do everything because Christ is with you and empowers you!! Start declaring this over yourself even when you don't feel like it!! Because the enemy is attacking you so you have to fight back!! He already lost, so take your stand and tell him to shut up! You got this!! You have a beautiful wife and 3 amazing kids!! That's a blessing from God and He wants you to enjoy it! And that's exactly what you are going to do! I know you will get passed this :D

Hey man. The struggle is real but don't give up on the Lord Jesus! He doesn't give up on you! He says in Matthew "Come to ME all you who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart and you WILL find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29. I know it's hard. But with God, what this verse means is that He will trade you His yoke (His easy carrying) for yours. He will take all the heaviness away and give you that easy burden to carry. Come to Him! I'm fighting with anxiety, fear and shyness too, these are spirits that want to destroy us, but God has set us free and he has given us the authority to repent those spirits. It's an spiritual fight but our GOD is greater than any fear. ❤ thank you for your testimony

I Have severe anxiety. And I can't tell anyone because I have a unique circumstance. There isn't a day when I don't think about just letting it all go. I'm trying to come back to god. And trying to beat my anxiety. Please pray for me.
Isaac Blaine whats that one thing that you think is unique causing you anxiety ? you may think it's unique but I got news for you it's not. it's says in the Bible that nothing has befallen man that is not comon to mankind ...it's probably happened before trust me. wether it's a sin you committed or a sin someone committed against you it's nothing new trust me ....let it go...give it to God....one way to do that is to confess our sons to one another ...or someone ...I was in a similar situation a time or two and I found someone to tell my secrets to ...once you do that a huge weight is lifted ...that's why the Bible tells us to confess our sins to one another! ...in my prayers! :)

For some people readingGods word, quoting scriptures, praying by yourself won't work. But have someone pray for you then pray with you. And ask God Directly to remove The devil out of your mind, and change the locks because then he won't have a key. GOD has all the keys and in his word he says he has given us those keys to his kingdom.
Trust me I've tried all this before. Someone told me that when Jesus first entered into my life he kicked the devil out , but in trying times I let him in the back door😭😓.

i dealt with the same thing until i started reading the word and began following christ. i believe it was just god calling me to come into his presence and feel the love and peace...i once was lost, now in found. in christ alone.

You have Christ living in you through His Spirit!! You have The Holy Spirit in you and when He is in you, you can do ALL THINGS!! Ask Him to help you overcome this and to speak through you!! I've always had a lot of fear and anxiety growing up and as I have gotten older, it's gotten worse. I know two voices praying together is better than one so I'm asking everyone to keep me in their prayers because I need to get out of this prison. it's exhausting and it's eating my life away. thank you in advance and I will pray that God repay you on my behalf with abundant and infinite blessings.

This also happened to me in middle school, at the breaking point, my mom told me to read the scripture found in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God had not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind. I prayed and asked God to lift the fear ..and He did!,,,

I am battling anxiety and depression right now. I feel a dark cloud over my head and a nervous stomach that doesn’t allow me to eat like I use to. I have strong faith that God will bring me back and let me feel his peace and happiness again. Have to stay committed to God because the enemy is waiting for a slip to start attacking. God works through prayer so if everyone can say a little prayer for me and I will also pray for others that are battling the same thing. God bless

I suffer from lust thoughts, I feel controlled by the enemy... I always been on and off with god and I'm tired of that. I wanna be saved by God, 🙌🏼 the enemy is always putting some really disturbing thoughts in my mind. I'm getting anxiety, on my mind and my heart.. I don't know why reading the bible is stressing me so much. Someone pray or help me, I want to change and start living a good life.

I can relate 100% I'm currently going through a rough time and anxious thinking patterns I can't seem to break but I know with jesus anything is possible. No matter how SCARY it gets just remember there's always a higher power to protect and comfort you and guard you in all your ways. I'm not too sure anyone will read this, but I am thankful to see I was not alone. In 2012 I was thrown out of university. I had been lying to my parents. I never actually participated in any exam. I was too scared and didn't know if I wanted to study law. But that wasn't what shaked me. After I admitted the lies I had kept for over 2 years, I felt free. But it wasn't long after that I came to realize my real problems. I had to fight anxiety and depression. My whole life had been dictated by everyone else. My personalityy was almost non-existent. It was either my parents or those who had bullied me in school. And now that I was free I didn't know how to deal with it. So I panicked. I had panick attacks for a long time. I couldn't handle it. I wasn't even sure I could lead a normal life because I was engulfed in the fear of those attacks.
Ironically a friend to me to chruch and the pastor talked about the one thing I needed to hear at that point: Identity. I though that couldn't be a coincidence. It was three weeks later that the pastor simply prayed for me and I gave up. Until then I was depending on my medicine. I was in rage over what my parents did to me and could never handle it. But the moment he prayed and told me "Jesus loves you." I gave up. As if that was all I ever needed to hear. From that moment life didn't just simply became better. I had to take on my battles head on, but I head faith. And it took me quite some time, I'll give you that. Retrospectively speaking. I never thought I would see a day where I could eat or breathe without the fear of another panick attack.
So where are we now? It's 2019. And I came to realize a few things. In that period I had doubts in my faith and even turned away from God. I started to watch pornography once again and was bullied by the ones nearest to me. Much happened. I got to a point where I stopped fighting and moving forward. Stopped remembering Gods eternal love. He hadn't changed in those years. There were moments I felt completely empty. Because I failed to see the circumstances. Failed to see why God placed me where I am and what I could do. Failed to see my purpose. And now that I think about it while writing all this I finally understand more and more. The bitterness that can come over someone.
But here's some good news. Reading the comments I am thankful to see how we all were never alone. I am thankful to have brothers and sisters fighting the same battle and looking for the very same thing. Giving advice would be really easy now, but I know too, every fight is different because every fight is personal. But please, at least let me tell you this: When I was in anxiety and got out, you what thought hit me the hardest? It was the question why I was in anxiety in the first place. No kidding. I was so terrified that I failed to see. I was blinded. And the moment Jesus touched my heart I had the chance to get out. And to this day I still fail to understand 2 things:
1. Why I was in anger, depression and bitterness in the first place
2. How I believed all my fears to be true
Even nowadays I sometimes turn around I ask myself why I am scared in the first place? What do I lack? Hasn't God made me the way he sees fit?
So my only advice is to stop focussing on your fears and anxiety. The bible teaches to focus on the kingdom of God. It's written in Matthew 6, Verse 33.
So, no matter how hard the struggle. Jesus already went to cross. He won our battle. Always keep that in mind. We can, with an inner freedom, focus on Gods kingdom, because he made us free already.
Everyone of us has a purpose. Everyone is beautifully and perfectly made. I don't know what holds you in your battles, but the biggest fight is over. I was won at the cross. I will pray for you. I will keep you all in my prayers. But never forget that your fight is already won. It was the same with me. The pastor saw me and calmly said, Jesus loves you. It wasn't about overcoming or fighting or whatever. No, he just assured me: Everything is fine. Stand up. You are free.
Thank you for sharing that. There are a few things in your story that I can relate to. For example, I once nearly failed at a class because I was scared of failing and didn’t put in effort, I’ve had identity crises before, and I’ve had periods of doubts or somehow forgetting the love of God. That’s why it’s so inspirational to me to see what you’ve come through. I know life hasn’t been easy for you, and I know it won’t be easy for me, I’m starting to see signs of that already. But despite the difficulty, and although you might not always start there, you always return to a place of remembering God’s, and fighting, which has brought you to where you are now. You may not be perfect, but it’s clear God has a hold of you, and he will take you to the finish line. Hearing your story gives me hope that the same things will happen to me.
@@vgmlover The entire point of anxiety is that it wins the moment you believe you have things you can actually lose. But do you though? No matter how much you think about it: Only if you think about what you can lose, that's the moment anxiety wins over the cross. And I want to be honest with you. Every time I remember that I wonder why I actually got scared in the first place. Sounds ridiculous if you think about it.
Be it the thought of never meeting a woman for example. Or the fear of being insulted by others for my beliefs. The fear of failure.
But the funny thing is: God knows we ain't perfect! God knows we will fail! God knows our mistakes, which is why the cross is so significant! I'm acting like being brave is natural. But the truth is quite the opposite. How often does the bible tell to be brave? People need to be reminded of that, that's how much! I acted like I never met God, where in reality I simply forgot what it meant to be with God. Simple as that.

i got this going on big time. this world will literally attack you if u show any fear or have negative thoughts. it gets noticed and you get attacked. its happened to me from strangers so i knew there's more to it. i don't mean strangers picking on me. i mean subtle things like being stared at, tailgating day or night, anything to pass on negativity.
then your mind gets darker and your imagination takes over and it gets worse and worse. Jesus is all i can turn to now. i've said that before and hopefully i follow through and trust in him. i have to give it all to him.

I am going through this right now, and it’s been really difficult waking up every morning. I can’t eat much anymore, my appetite is almost gone. Praying through this rough patch hoping God can heal me and bring me closer. Wish I had someone to go to church with, I can’t go on my own.

I see I am not alone, I won't quit, I won't give up. GOD is bigger than all my problems. Pray and read the word of GOD and ask for GOD'S guidance, grace and mercy.

I don't know how to get closer to Jesus and give it all to him. I have anxiety and it gets worse every day. I really want to get closer to Jesus and live my life with him but I don't know how
The best place to start is to talk to Him! He is with you EVERYWHERE! SO why not talk to Him? He's always wanting and ready to hear us He's just waiting on us!
Another great place to start is reading The Holy Bible! As you begin to study and read, you will begin to grow and get closer to Him! It's a beautiful process and you will grow! As long as you stay consistent, you will grow and have an amazingly strong relationship with Him :D

I also dealt with crippling anxiety. I would have severe anxiety attacks all the time. I was stuck in my home for a couple of years because if I tried to walk outside I would have a severe anxiety attack. Every time I tried to eat I had the fear of choking, so it would take me forever to chew one bite. I would bite the food with the complete fear that I'm going to choke on my food. So most of the time I would give up and put my plate in the fridge, promising myself that I would eat it later. Never did. I lost a lot of weight and got down to 90 pounds. My attacks were so severe that all I could do was Pace back and forth the whole time I had one. My hair slowly fell out and I could see my hair starting to look thin and frail. My skin looked horrible. Constant worry and fear. When I would go to sleep at night I would have nightmares every night. This was absolute hell.
I joined online groups for people with severe anxiety and they told me to just expect that this is how life was going to be. Some of them had been confined to their homes for 5 years or more. This was a Christian website and Christian chat room for people with anxiety. I kept telling them "God is going to free me from this", but they would just disagree with me and say different things. I couldn't imagine that God would leave me in this severe shape, I had 2 small children at the time and I couldn't even be a mother.
I got my courage up and I tried medications, but it only seemed to make my problem worse. If it wasn't for my hope in Jesus, I would have wanted to just end it all.
I kept telling myself that God is going to free me from this. I would be in the middle of having an anxiety attack, declaring I'm free from anxiety!
Today I am free from anxiety, praise God!! I can go outside by myself, drive 5 hours away alone if I wanted to, I can work a job and not have to worry about anxiety, praise God!! I can also eat now without the fear of choking and I have since gained my normal weight back.
I do believe that God helps us. I do believe that it's in his will for us to be free from this. But, we have to do our part. Maybe some people get automatically set free from things, I know that, that happens. But for me, I had to put in some work, do my part. Baby steps.
I made myself go outside and get into my car. I could feel my nerves and my heart starting to race. I was on edge. I knew that at any moment a severe anxiety attack was going to hit me. I drove two houses away from my house to a stop sign and that's as far as I could make it that day. I rushed back home. I would declare all the time I am free from anxiety and I would repeat different scriptures to myself all the time. I had to meet Jesus in the middle. I finally learned what it meant to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. When Jesus was out on the waters calling for Peter to come out and meet him it had to be terrifying, the thought of walking out onto the water.
For me, it was the fear of stepping back into my life and taking another step and taking another step and keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus the whole time. I had to let go of those 'what if' fears and repeat to myself what Jesus said in his word and that's how I found my freedom. I think that everyone is different and I believe that sometimes God may use medication to help and to heal someone. In my instance God done all of this for me without medication.
I pray so much that this will help somebody. There is freedom through Christ. It is in his word, he means it, and I believe that it is his will for us to be free.

I feel the same way this light I can feel I would describe it like a sun that shines and it can shine out of you! I honestly feel the grace, it is Jesus, much more than we can understand or deserve! It is the light which shines forth from man! Jesus is all we need!

I've had fear and anxiety but It's been years since and I'm getting better everyday. I don't like NOT giving it to God, it just makes the process so negative and not fun.. I have this but it's been for a long time, it's gotten a bit better but I still feel it there. Like when I try to pray, talk, or repent to God, I feel embarrassed, it clouds my thinking and I loose concentration.
I know exactly what you mean! But just know that you do not have to feel embarrassed or condemned! God knows what we are all going to do before we do it! He knows we are all going to mess up and He is there for us! He is our father, what father would shun their kids for messing up??? NO LOVING FATHER WOULD DO THAT! So just know that when you go to God and talk to HIm, He is listening with full attention and here to comfort you!!

I'm dealing with the SAME exact thing.. Except that I actually did get on medication for a time, but got off them.. I'm continuously in his word, continuously praying.. Just always seeking.. Putting it into practice.. But it's still so hard.. "Perfect love casts out all fear" Is where I am right now.. It's hard for me to leave my house.. It's hard for me to be around anyone anymore too.. Been like this for a year and couple months.. Just in need of help and prayer, because everyone around me doesn't know or care to believe in God...

This was me and I’ve been living like this for about 4 and a half months now. I know I’m getting stronger each day. Believe in yourself and resist temptations. I fall sometimes, but I comeback twice as strong. I love how God is making me stronger through something I’ve never experienced. I still get fears here and there and sometimes almost give up. But I’m always pushing forward because Christ has his hand over me.

I've been struggling with anxiety and self loathing for a few years now. Its the worst feeling ever. You cant enjoy life because you're constantly overthinking and making yourself feel inadequate. I used to think I had to change my myself (appearance, style, etc.) and my surroundings to be happy when really i need to change my outlook on life. I recently decided to start praying, reading my bible, and meditating on the word. Whenever anxious/negative thoughts enter my mind I focus on a scripture and repeat it until I calm down or I try to focus on the moment and not worry about the future. I'm also cutting back on social media and keeping myself busy with important things. It's a struggle but i'm trying. I have faith that it will get better now that I know what the source of my anxiety is.

I have been a christian on and off. A month ago i smoked weed and drank beer. Have been so anxious and depressed since. This is so horrible. I am never leaving God again. Please pray for me.
I know the feeling. I don’t drink or smoke, but I do have addictions that make me feel terrible when I give into them, but they’re so hard to beat. I respect that you don’t ever want to leave God again, but you should know that fighting these temptations is always going to be hard, it won’t get easier. You have to make sure you say no where before you would have said yes, and you need to get back up in places where before you would have stayed down. But you don’t have to fight alone. You have people supporting you and God is with you, he will and has forgiven you for every bump in the road along the way. I will pray for you.

Just an fyi, there is *nothing wrong* with taking medication. I have anxiety and panic attacks. I'm trying all I can try to get rid of them. Therapy. Medicine. God. There is absolutely nothing bad about medicine if it helps. Just don't rely on them too much and you'll be fine.
Clumsy Plumbob .. There's a lot wrong with medicine. I recommend you look at some videos by Dr John Bergman on health problems. As for medicines that alter your brain chemistry, these can impede your being able to hear God's voice and be guided by his holy spirit. I say this with much love and wish only the best for all my brothers and sisters.
Medicine helped people for some years but then nothing happens !!!Medicine didn't help me and many others !!!Medicine damage the brain chemistry not the other way around!!!

We should realise that we can help ourselves by giving our bodies what God originally designed for our bodies to have. Plenty of sunlight, exercise and fresh fruit and vegetables. In fact, lack of vitamin D (sunlight) is a major cause of many of our health problems today. It's also a big cause of bad quality sleep or insomia

Amazing testimony, but i think it's important to note, getting help from a therapist, etc is ok. Sometimes medication is needed. Anxiety and other mental disorders are the result of living in a broken world, where our brains may have a chemical imbalance. God bless ❤

I don't know what's wrong with me I'm not sick nor in a good health. I always think about my health and getting stressed thinking what if I have some serious illness. My panic was so severe I was in and out of the er. There was no way I was living like this, I didn’t want to turn to medicine so I tried with my self power and prayer but that wasn’t enough. There was no doubt I had to get on medicine. So here I am now & it has helped me in ways but I still want to get back to being myself wlo meds. I’d like to get active in a church as I always start but never finish

I have a habit of spending my time alone everytime. I try to do something to distract me at some point the anxiety comes back and I fear a lot. I wouldn't sleep because of that negative thoughts which are not even real. I want God to fheal me.

Yes, I agree. I was a counselor in a men,s Ministry, on the side of my major, stressful careers. I stepped out. Now, at 53, my anxiety is still high. It,s a daily PRAYER to get by. This young man is courageous but has a LOT of life ahead. And challenges. Get through corporate land, then come back......

Iv had bad tormenting fears and thoughts most of my life i kept asking Jesus christ took taje them away .i would read psalms and just cry out to God.please lord just take them away.never in my life have i ever had the urge to fast but i did.he answered my prayer but one im noticing is i remember in my mind why i am i not scared right now so i try to make myself scared because im not in fear.i even tell God i dont know what its like not to fear and full of bad thoughts i cant understand it. I know i should be scared right now but im not.i confuse myself because iv never known what its like to be in peace and know Gods with me.i read isiah 49 .iv foundout through his word just how close God is and by his word and praying and fasting.he ansewerd my prayer.
