I just loved watching this video. How your face lights up when you share memories associated with special items gifted to you! I think the spool holder and its story is my faborite.
Yes! I am very lucky that my Memaw passed these on to me, and I am so excited to eventually have a space where I can properly display them all! This was a really fun video to make despite being sick haha.
This is fantastic! The window covering was actually a Window Quilt as it was insulated to reflect the warmth back into the room and the magnets held it to the frame of the sliding glass door.
Great video! Glad TH-cam brought me to your channel! I was able to use your video related to the Simplicity 4923 "Pirate costume" to make some of the pieces for the NY Renaissance Faire, for this summer - so thanks for those tutorials! I grew up in San Fran and, while I hated department store shopping, when my parents were going to SEARS, we tagged along! Nostalgic for me, too! Also - my sister's favorite doll growing up was Raggedy Anne (I know - I'm dating myself). And I was lucky enough to get my mom's "Montgomery Ward" sewing machine - it's like a TANK and also weighs a TON but it's powerful (and is my back-up machine when I know I may be sewing layers of thicker fabrics). Feel better and keep up the great content!
I am so happy you found my channel as well! I am glad I have been able to be of help for you. My husband and I are also planning to go to our first Renn Faire soon, we have never been but I have always wanted to go! I always love hearing about other people's experiences, so thank you so much for sharing! Your words really warmed my heart and thank you so much for the well wishes!

If I ever move anywhere cold, I will have to try and make these. :)

The 2 plastic tab looking items are for threading elastic through waist bands. Hints why they were in the basket with elastics. Smart memaw 😊
Oh my goodness! That's brilliant! Thank you! I usually use the safety pin method, but I am excited to give these a whirl!
