Turtle wax is killing it with the Hybrid solution products...I used these 2 Black polish and wax on my E92 coupe and the results is just amazing. I tell you the protection and the water resistance lasted 5 month thro the harsh canadian winter. time to redo the process next month...
Thank for you for demonstrating how to use this product properly. Here in the U.S it’s a affordable product but it works fantastic 👀👌🫡 Love Turtle Wax Company 👌
Greetings from Harpers Ferry, WV. Great review in that you showed machine and hand polishing. I have used this on my single stage and it works great. One of my deeper scratches actually looks a little better after polishing with my cheap harbour freight da. I am not a professional and only maintain 3 cars so HF works great for me. Thanks for a terrific video.
Good review Mat 👍, but personally I just dont see the point. If you have to buy Turtle Wax, just buy the "generic" non-colour match ceramic stuff. A little cheaper, and can be used on more than just black.... ....and ultimately wont stain up all your pads and cloths.
Last week I did just what you mentioned since I have both of the TW polishes. I ended up doing the whole car in the ceramic acrylic black because it made a noticeable difference. My car is 13 years with very good paint and the difference in the shade of black was very apparent to my wife (it's her daily driver) so much so she wanted the whole car done with the black. Sunday then I used the black ceramic topper. Both of these products are now my go to for black and my new product of choice; and of course my wife is loving it. 😃
@@TheDetailingSpace hard to prove that even with gloss meter readings. I wish we new the sio2 % and difference between the black acrylic and the red bottle. That way TW could say hey the red has 5% sio2 but the black has 7% AND acrylic (forget the dye) and we the consumer could say ah OK I see the justification for the price difference. Trade secrets though... I get it
Hi Mat,nice review on the Turtle Wax Ceramic black polish,it did make the paintwork a deeper black, shame they didn't do white or other colours but it's still looks good stuff to use.
Thanks. Can you give a review update on your Kranzle? I was thinking of getting the same model as it runs at a lower rpm and I presume it's quieter which is important to me
@@TheDetailingSpace Did you think it was worth the costs? Do you get significantly more foam with the higher gpm? Have you had any problems with electrics with the higher amp unit, eg issues with extension leads, blown fuses? Thanks
Lovely job by the re-markeing team. Gone from Dodgy to the New Sliced Bread just by piggy backing off the "Ceramic" trend like snow foam did. Who thought that making from liquid to bubbles?
Mmmmm.... Not sure if you're complimenting or having a dig. To be fair to TW, I think a lot of detailers overlook them, in favour of "boutique" brands. However, with the new Hybrid Solutions range, I think they're trying to target the enthusiast rather than the general public.
... probably would be great to polish shoes with (-; Actually, I bought a black car (non metallic) .. last colour I actually would have "chosen" but that's what they had and then I was really surprised that 30% of cars are black, a detail I never noticed fully before (a lot anyway). Have the spray, but ordered the "polish" to try this year. I have a terrible time (by hand, no polisher), particularly on the hood and trunk with streaks, you can see how it was applied - improves with a wash job quite well. I try to do it again and just a new streak pattern. I left it on way too long - as the spray actually dries - really hard to wipe in, so I used to just coat half the car and wipe it down - did not work for this - my thinking is to put it on and immediately microfiber it to a shine. The hood/roof .. I do half the roof and usually all the hood .. sounds like I'm biting off way too much to do at once maybe. The salesperson told me that in say 4 years, to get my "black paint" professionally polished as its kind of a losing game for most.
I used this on my second hand Polo which looked good when i got it but under a swirl light it was bad (maybe not to no detailing people lol) With a machine and by hand it adds so much gloss and by machine it was great for light to moderate swirls for me. Like you said deeper stuff will need more heavy duty stuff. Just found this channel, great stuff and gives a real world aspect to detailing if that makes sense, being done in a drive and not in a sterile lab like some channels lol Got some lockdown binging to do now mate lol
haha, I guess I better cancel that lease on a unit then (joking of course)... I know what you mean, driveway detailing like 99% of the population who look after their cars. And if you're lucky enough to have a garage, they're not usually big enough to work comfortably in 🤣
@@TheDetailingSpace Yeh dont get me wrong its great when a garage/unit is available for videos as well lol. I'm trying to convince my brother to let me clean his garage up for me to detail in if I need it as he uses it as a skip since he moved in 2 years ago 😂
Mmmmm... I guess technically you could. However, a ceramic coating would typically be applied to a car that has been machine polished and is defect free, meaning you shouldn't need a product like this. However, if you end up with swirls in the ceramic layer, then MAYBE this would work.
rain means free shower as long you want no need to pay water wax to the government menzerna power lock this used today after the wash a slick paint and a nice shine and would this black wax if you very small drops on dashboard or plastic parts inside ? interior i have gery hair perhaps make mi hair more black more shine to
Nice touch with the watering can. Can we have a follow up in say 3 months - ask the owner not to wash the car, to see the self cleaning ability please.
You used a DA because you dont like hand applying more like Mat ................ Looks like it gives a good depth n shine though , closest we have is a very dark blue so maybe not for us
You know what, of all the popular products, I don't think I've ever used Black Hole.... I've used a friends bottle on their car in the past, but that was 10+ years ago!
Good showcase video. Weather was not cooperating at all. Bad for video, but actually good for making it a real world scenario. Not everyone has a clean garage. If you don't have 24 hrs for cure time the product won't get ruined by rain. As for the pigment jazz I'm still not convinced it does anything. Neither good or bad, except stain, though not ruin, your pads and towels. At the near end of the video you applied the polish on a white vertical panel on the left and the wax on the right side and took off the tape and said there's more pigment on the polish side than the spray side ... But that's not what you would do. You'd apply to the panel and buff off pretty much immediately. When you do, the pigment residue comes off the panel and on to the towel. You said it took you 3 panel preps to get the polish off the white panel... Did you let it dry for a long time causing you to need 3 panel preps to remove the black pigment? JON from forensic detailing applied the black polish and the wax on a white panel and buffed off (not let it sit and cake), and he could not see any black pigment left over. When you did it, you had applied it but DIDN'T buff off, which shows the polish has more black dye visible (but it's also a more viscous product). Jon's video th-cam.com/video/icsQeDuXsAs/w-d-xo.html The mystery continues... The product cuts as a polish, fills, leaves protection, and the price is right, so it's a complete product. Not sure it's 2-5 dollars better than the regular (red bottle) ceramic line. Still fun to geek out to.
Cheers, yes all "real world" here... The polish was left on the white panel for less time than at any stage on the black merc. I've seen Jon's video, and was surprised he didn't get any staining.
Turtle wax: put out a product that will Eliminate swirls and scratches, not HIDE them with dyes and pigmentation. This is why you remain on the bottom of the tier with your products.
The best video on this product by far.
Thank you 👍

I think they recommend going over the polish with a damp microfiber to activate the high shine polymers

Thanks for taking the time to review, been looking at these with interest. May give them a go.
100% worth it if you have a black car! Others have been commenting on this car and how it "looks different". It does look a touch darker TBH!

Nice video. Can you please tell me What you used for the pre-wash? Lot of foam without a machine.
Which one? I used a snow foam.
What Snow Foam do you use, purchased the Kranzle by the way, excellent machine!
I used the AutoSmart Ultra Mousse
The best for removing Durt is either below 8 or Bilt hamber auto , but below 8 is hard to get as its always out of stock.
❤ is only for black paint?
Yes.... It'll give any other colour a dark tint.

But to remove swirls you really need to use a machine of sorts. So almost all hand polishes simply fill/mask swirls etc. Unless really really abrasive
