The Kursk incursion would probably not have been possible without the Russian cross-border incursion into the Kharkiv oblast. That move by the Russians, which stripped away the restrictions on the use of Western weapons on the Russian side of the border, is looking more and more like a strategic blunder by Russia.
Restrictions on Ukraine aren't really real. They're used to have Russia drop their guard and feel like the West is influenced by them. Push comes to shove, restrictions go away as needed.
@@HarupertBeagleton-dz5gw Correct. There is the official list of restrictions, but behind the scenes everyone is fully willing to use Ukraine as a proxy to fight Russia. The region from the mountains south into Ukraine was always seen as part OF Ukraine (old Rus) until it was divided to limit the power of Ukraine. This is sort of an east/west germany vibe to it and 100% a region they can take control of with a generally supportive population. Electric vehicles are all right on the whole, having been around them. They require almost no repairs or maintenance, and with the introduction of sodium ion batteries, they’ll be safer, more durable workhorses than combustion engine vehicles ever were owing to mechanical simplicity.
There is a reason why batteries use lithium not sodium. It has an energy density so you will end up with less miles per charge and have to spend more time charging. That's physics for you. The biggest problem is not so much charging, it's the amount of rare earth metals you need which is problematic especially considering that China owns a lot of the places which produce them
@@pgpythonthere's been an effort to reduce rare earth minerals in batteries. Newer batteries use just a fraction of what they used to. Sodium ion can be viable even at a lower energy density. One of the largest barriers for widespread EV adoption is cost. Current batteries are technological marvels but also incredibly expensive. For enormous countries the range is a problem, but for everyone else the main issue is charging infrastructure, not really range.
My mobile phone contains more lithium than in my eV has in its entire battery pack. Also petrol cars are a much bigger fire risk than eVs, and are more likely to spread the fire to the cars nearby, because the fuel tanks are now plastic not metal..Solar and wind power plus batteries can be used to charge an eV. They run almost silently, so they can be used militarily, even if not on the front line. Plus there is not a heat signature to be picked up by drones or artillery.

Hi Artur Rehi, thanks for a good video, I clearly remember a few years ago a man in Ukraine left his Golden Retriever, it was old, it chose to stay at home even though its owner here wanted it with him, it did a big impression on me, all life matters. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has just announced that Danish weapons may be used on Russian territory, from me a big congratulations on your marriage, and take good care of your family, and "Russian Novochukc"
When russia invaded Ukraine they expected it to be easy, they expected their enemies would flee and the population would welcome them with open arms. That didn't happen. But now Ukraine is facing minimal resistance, russians are fleeing, and the population of Kursk are welcoming them with open arms... Quite ironic indeed.

Communism actually works better on a small scale (and many tribes, villages and towns operated with a de facto communism from prehistory well into the modern era), because then everyone can see where the fruits of their labour are going, and they know and feel some kinship with the people it's going to. When cars first came around over a hundred years ago, people were saying you don't need a car, get a horse. In the coming years, electric cars will be better now. For sure, but soon they'll have batteries that go twice as long and weigh half the weight, and if you're in a war zone, sometimes you want a vehicle, that's nice and quiet, you think. You do great videos!!
It's a nice sentiment. But I highly doubt electric vehicles will become practical in less than another decade or two. We've had the tech for so long now, but it's just not developing fast enough to be considered widely. I mean. I wanna know if it's even possible to so too. But I just don't see it happening any time soon
Electric cars will never be sustainable the rare lithium is mostly in China and processing is very toxic for the environment as well. Just about everything is made with fossil fuels too including our electricity. Also most of our oil wells around the cannot just be shutdown or they'll seize. Also most materials on electric cars are made with fossil fuels. ICE will always reign supreme.
For roughly the first 20 years after cars were available to the public, a large percentage were electric vehicles anyway, including city cabs in USA, etc. The general feeling was that electric cars would be the future, not internal combustion.

In combat zones, the power supply is not very good. But what is even more decisive is the fact that if the driving battery is empty, you easily need 2 days "in a row" to recharge the battery with a socket. I have to know that I have an e-car myself. But I also have a lot of possibilities to charge it quickly nearby. The fastest would be 8 hours charging time for Kadyrov or the Russians for a maximum of 400 km.
8 hours is fast? What kind of charging infrastructure do you have ? That's really long even for L2 charging, unless you have a really enormous battery.
@@Outworlder they only load AC onboad the car can load 11kw/h. In Russia you don't find many places to load DC. Russia is not US or Europe. I Donut live there but you can look ATM Tesla Charging Map

It's so weird that people are using this to argue for their fandom of electric vehicles lmao, sure electric vehicles, in the west, once they build infrastructure, might work great. Where do they charge them on the battlefield fam?
@@dhnbbn1099gas stations didn't fall from the sky, though. They're infrastructure just like charging networks. For a battlefield situation a technology like switching out batteries would probably work better, though. Which you could bring to the front lines just like you now bring diesel in a fuel truck. But yes, the tech isn't quite there yet for frontline use and the cybertruck is a total dumpster fire, 100% agree. But from a geopolitical pov, dependence on oil is not a good thing. Look at these oil exporting countries, most of them are dictatorships. While every European country could produce electricity on its own soil if the political will was there. Just imagine if Merkel had invested in a couple nuclear plants and in the solar industry (instead of ruining it; Germany used to be the world leader in this tech!) and made legislation so that people couldn't go NIMBY on every bloody wind turbine. There would have been no need for the Nordstream pipelines and to appease putler in 2014 and this whole invasion would have never happened. Imagine if we wouldn't depend on the putlers and MBSs of the world. That alone would be worth it, let alone less noise, less pollution, and less climate change. I don't have an electric car and I even have a motorcycle, it's not that I "hate" ICE engines for funsies. But there's geopolitical realities and there's climate change and going electric will be better on both of those issues for us in the long run. I do have an electric vehicle as well - it's like a small electric Vespa (but not from the Vespa brand). It's not the same as riding my bigger motorcycle but it's actually pretty cool zipping around on something that's silent. It's kinda like riding a cloud or something, it has a bit of a SciFi feeling.
Selensky says, he wants to create a buffer zone, but this operation could even achieve more. Ukrainian gains are around 800km², up to 1.000km² in around 14 days. Over 50km² a day. Ukraine now relocates the command in the region, so they slow down their offensive, to start stage 2. They still take around 10km² or more per day. The russians give up the area western from where Ukraine attacks. That's 650km². Meanwhile Ukraine pushes in eastern and northern direction. 2.000 PoWs were made. That's a success. The russians take their reserves out of the southern and eastern front, so they don't have to slow down now. That will backfire. They can't rotate their troops now, so in around 4 - 6 weeks, their forces will be exhausted and weak. While Ukraine operates with under 10k troops in Kursk, this troops report, they already got rotated out and in multipe times. For that, you need huge reserves and good logistics. To do such rotations, Ukraine needs at least around 20k more troops as reserve. So Ukraine can increase the pressure. Meanwhile russians send just 10 batallions. That's around 10k soldiers, hundreds are already KIA, hundreds are captured, and it's not enough to fight back. Meanwhile, considering Ukraine has around 700k soldiers, the 30k - 40k near Kursk doesn't really miss in other places. Yes, maybe they could stop the slow, russian advancement near Avdiivka, but Ukraine wouldn't gain anything from that, and without reserves, this advancement, and the russian advancement everywhere on the frontlines, will stop in a few weeks anyway. Also, the soldiers aren't the limitation in this war, but the weapons and logistics. Russia struggles with the logistics. Russia just has 500k soldiers in Ukraine, and already struggles to supply them. Ukraine has 700k, and everything is fine. Russia can't even provide food and weapons for the 500k. They lose more and more, and are barely able to replace them, but their logistics doesn't allow them to increase the numbers. The system would collapse. Despite this fact, that the logistics already is at it's limit, with 500k troops and around 35k more each month, there has to be a new mobilization, because Russia needs meat, to defend Russia. So while they won't be able to increase the pressure in Ukraine, because they reached their limit, they will mobilize hundreds of thousands of people, will send them with bad equipment in Kursk direction, and will lose them. Meanwhile, Ukraine obviously has huge reserves. Different weapontypes they got the last 12 months didn't show up on the frontlines, and they are able to rotate, so Ukraine obviously has reserves, and is able to increse the pressure, and will be able to exploit russia's weakness in 4 - 6 weeks. Overall, logistics: Russia -> struggles, Ukraine -> has no problems. Especially the russian artillery struggles, since Ukraine attacked Kursk. Shells fired per day in the east are down 40% for Russia. They have enough shells, but not enough trains, to relocate troops to Kursk, while resupplying shells to the eastern troops. Soldiers: Ukraine has more, has reserves, russia doesn't have reserves Weapons and production: Russia reached the limit, stocks will run low next year and after. The west increases the production, produces more systems, and will outproduce russia in many areas from 2025 on. And also, jets: Ukraine gets up to 100 F-16 and Mirage2000 in the comming 2 years, while russia can't even replace the jets it's losses, and while russia just has around 100 modern Su-35 and Su-34 overall, and while Ukraine most likely will get Gripen. Also both, Ukraine and Russia, have more jets than pilots, but the west can train more, so Ukraine will gain the upper hand here. So there are multiple reasons, why the situation for Ukraine is good right now. The main reason imo are logistics, and reserves. Rotations. It needs patience, but in 4 - 6 weeks, the russian strategy of using up reserves will backfire, the offensive just is in stage 1, it was a full success, and there is a stage 2, and maybe either a stage 3, or a new surprise for russia in the future, maybe even before the mud season. However, it's bad for russia, denying that is delusional, and it will be way worse in a few weeks, because long term, Russia's strategy will backfire 🤷♂️
Only 2 bridges left, one at Semenovo,(15km from Korenevo) one at Rylsk (20km from Korenevo) then the next bridge according to google maps would be a railway bridge south of Voronino, about 40km north east of Korenevo. Hardly any roads leading upto the river itself and it looks like mostly forest area and swamp. Placing ponton bridges for heavy vehicles seems very difficult if not imposible along the whole bank of the Seym river. The 2 bridges at Tetkino are impossible to use for the Russians, those are right at the border with Ukriane and once over it the only way back to Russia is over Ukrainian territory. They might just be driving the Russian troops east towards Tetkino and trap them!?
The thing I hate about cars, motorcycles, mopeds, busses, trucks and anything on wheel's. Are the loud engine noise. I hate it, I can not stand it. And it is not about being green or not. It is the decibel's that I can not stand. When a diesel truck or bus drives by me some 10 meters away, I am unable to hear anything at all. Even when people talk to me. Everything is drowned in that engine noise. The three absolute worst vehicles are V8 muscle cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and 50 cubic 2 stroke moped's.
Also, it's not cool to be dependent on fuel imports. Not every country has oil reserves -> we're dependent on these dictator countries who have oil. While every country can produce its own electricity. There's always a way to build a hydro power plant or solar or wind turbines. We'd be a lot less dependent on these shithole dictator oil countries -> a lot less chances for war. Without oil, ruzzia would be nothing. This is IMO one reason why they were so keen to invade Ukraine now. In 30 years, they couldn't have pressured Germany and Europe with the threat of cutting off oil and gas deliveries. Nobody would be buying that stuff anymore anyway.

EVs are actually pretty hard work horses. But they definitely shouldn't be used for military purposes. Theres no good infrastructure for that on the front lines xD
@rogerphelps9939 well if there is a Military with the budget and capacity to make it work it's the US. If the contractors aren't allowed to turn it into another 20 year forever project
Well the Chinese have been tinkering with battery swapping tech for a while. You wouldn't charge the battery on the front lines but just swap them out. The equivalent of a fuel truck could bring freshly charged ones. Diesel also doesn't grow on front line trees. EVs are silent and generate less residual heat because they're more efficient -> less heat and sound for the enemy to detect your vehicle. Could be a huge plus.
I'm fine with electric vehicles, but not in any combat or military role. They just aren't practical in that environment. Also, the Cybertruck is straight trash. The Russians can have all of them. Ukraine, never give up!
They might be in future, if we develop battery changing ones. You'd have the equivalent of a fuel truck bringing freshly charged batteries and just swap them out instead of charging. Electric vehicles are silent and more power efficient = less heat signature. That could be a great plus when you want to hide your vehicle.
Personally I think that Ukraine left the one Bridge open for a period of time intentionally. By doing this any retreating Russian voices would gravitate towards that bridge I believe this reduce the amount of pockets of resistance and Consolidated all the Russian forces into one pocket then they destroyed that bridge.
14:40 it actually makes sense for US publicly make it seem like diplomatically wanting to be as close to mediator as possible(for future diplomacy with a new government), however would be ideal to “under the table” let Ukraine to use its weapons and US turn a blind eye as if they have no idea that UA was going to use the stuff… it actually makes no sense to publically announce stuff like that(making the element of surprise be missing regarding use of U.S. assisted weaponry) 🤷♂️
Strength and Glory to Ukraine! Born in ‘62 and 33 years USAF retired I have seen a lot. But, I am an EV owner (Chevy Volt). It took over 100 years to perfect the gas engine to what it is today. Please give the EV the same chance. And from my life experience, the planet is heating up over the 62 years of my life. If we don’t do something to slow, and maybe reverse, this event my step-son and future grand-children will have a worse life than me. And I must prove you wrong, I will stay with you since everyone’s point of view must be respected. Have a great day.
Back in the day when Henry Ford developed the assembly line and made combustion engine cars affordable for most people. There were many people that didn’t like the idea of a carriage without the horse. They said things like “I don’t like it, nothing will beat my horses! Blah blah blah.” And now people mostly ride horses only for a pastime. One day combustion engine cars will only be a persons pastime. Like it or not, it’s the way she goes.
Don't forget Henry Ford wound up supporting Hitler in Germany in very material, industrial ways. And look at the innovative M. Musk these days. Gotta look beyond the people who sometimes who good and see what they're up to the rest of the time.
@@daydays12especially since dependence on oil plays into the hands of dictators like putler. Yes, current electric vehicles still have flaws and that stupid cybertruck is just a dumpster fire. And the infrastructure for charging or switching batteries isn't quite there yet. The only reason ICE cars are more practical still is because there's better infrastructure to support filling your tank. Gas stations didn't fall from the sky, that's infrastructure that had to be built. Bertha Benz had to buy her fuel at an apothecary. Switching to electric in the long run is a good thing not just from an environmental POV, but also from a geopolitical one. Every country can create electricity on their own soil. We wouldn't depend on other countries with oil reserves anymore. Just look at these countries, most of them are dictatorships. And this is logical, because any country that is based mostly on an extraction economy is prone for dictatorship. Because those are typically large, centrally run projects. If your country is based mostly on extraction, you don't need a lot of educated people. You need a couple of head engineers (that many of these countries hire from outside) and maybe a bunch of grunt workers (especially if it's not oil but, say, mining). You get a bit of a military to subdue people and boom, you're ready to run a nice dictatorship with a tiny upper class and a lot of uneducated poor people you don't have to give a fck about. That's very different from a country that has a lot of diverse industries where you depend on many well educated people. It's much harder to control and subdue a population like that. I recently read "Männer, die die Welt verbrennen" (men who burn the world) by Christian Stöcker. Not sure if it will be released in English. It shows the connections between all these oil dictatorships and - I'll call them "oilygarchies" in democratic countries (like eg the Koch brothers) and how that's connected not just to lying about the environmental impact but also to war and political meddling. There is a long interview with Stöcker about the book on YT; there might be English auto translate subtitles on that video if anyone is interested. TL;DR: being fossil fuel dependent increases the chances of dictatorships and war, it's time to move from the age of fire and burning stuff to the age of electricity and light.
the line you screwed up was made by rowdy roddy piper in the movie "They Live" and is " i've come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass , and i'm all out of bubblegum."
Problem isnt so much it being an electric car. it's that its a commercial "truck" being used for a military purpose. One that already has problems being durable in residential enviroments. The fact that it's electric just makes it worse
Nobody seems to think that the Cybertruck is there anything other than ridiculous. I wouldn’t be surprised if they discontinue it fairly quickly at this rate.
Instead of a simple Model 1 affordable for low income households Musk started his journey into the far right universe and thus the Cybertruck was born.
Regarding electric vehicles you are obviously right, the batteries are very heavy and have a low energy density, therefore if you have to drive a lot EV’s are a no go. If you have to drive only short distances during the day they might be an option if you can afford long charging hours.

The biggest problem is not so much charging, it's the amount of rare earth metals you need which is problematic especially considering that China owns a lot of the places which produce them
Solid State batteries and supercondensators will make them even better and less likely to catch fire. Still probably bad for war though.

You're probably right. Now, tell me how they charge the cybertruck in Chechnya in 2024.
And as you are attacking with your electric vehicles you'll be hauling diesel run generators to keep them charged. What a joke.

Where do they charge them on the battlefield fam?
@FutureChaosTV you think they have a network of superchargers at the frontline? There might be only small generators to provide electricity.
@@FutureChaosTV Well, on a normal outlet... that would be 8-12 hours i guess
For a Model 3 that is. I guess a Cybertruck a fair bit more.
Soldiers: Ukraine has more, has reserves, russia doesn't have reserves
Weapons and production: Russia reached the limit, stocks will run low next year and after.

@@davelewis9439 I cant wait untill everything have finally gone electric.

EVs are actually pretty hard work horses. But they definitely shouldn't be used for military purposes. Theres no good infrastructure for that on the front lines xD
The US military thinks otherwise.
Also how will they recharge it in the field? Plug it into a current bush? Just a stupid vehicle for war.

So you support starting ww3, understood, when are you going to the front? Or are you supporting a war you won't fight in?
Exactly . I was disappointed that Artur doesn't like electric cars but he's entitled to his opinion of course.
Don't forget Henry Ford wound up supporting Hitler in Germany in very material, industrial ways. And look at the innovative M. Musk these days. Gotta look beyond the people who sometimes who good and see what they're up to the rest of the time.
@@daydays12 Artur is quite simple minded, mostly harmless but totally mis-informed
How curious, I asked if the next target bridge would be in Crimea and my comment was deleted. Long live freedom of expression? It seemed absurd to me

Great report Artur 👏 SLAVA UKRAINE 🇺🇦 HEROYAM SLAVA 🇺🇦 🌻🏴🇬🇧❤
I hate CyberYucks too man. Looks like a truck from the days of the Nintendo 64, but the graphics didn't render properly!
Despite "green people" leaving your site, you reached 700K subscribers. CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Exactly.... no Muskowitch here either
Problem isnt so much it being an electric car. it's that its a commercial "truck" being used for a military purpose. One that already has problems being durable in residential enviroments. The fact that it's electric just makes it worse
Great news!
Loving your updates Artur. Keep up the great work 👍😊
Nobody seems to think that the Cybertruck is there anything other than ridiculous. I wouldn’t be surprised if they discontinue it fairly quickly at this rate.
Instead of a simple Model 1 affordable for low income households Musk started his journey into the far right universe and thus the Cybertruck was born.
It will not be used even once in combat, prove me wrong.
That cyber truck looks like someone origamied a vehicle out of tinfoil.
Regarding electric vehicles you are obviously right, the batteries are very heavy and have a low energy density, therefore if you have to drive a lot EV’s are a no go. If you have to drive only short distances during the day they might be an option if you can afford long charging hours.
Doesn't a cybertruck has gps on it? Easy target 😂😂
Pretty sure Tesla would be able to remotely deactivate it as well. They seem to have access to everything.

Buhahahaha! Russian communist logic: If you don't bother to ever build infrastructure, real buildings and a real city, the enemy has nothing to destroy, and you have nothing to lose. Igor is very smart, as always 😂
Modern Russia isn't communist in the slightest, it's a hyper-capitalist dystopia.

I agree I have associate of applied science degree in diesel technology and one in automotive technology. I think the cyber truck looks butt ugly.
“I know a lot of green people will leave my channel”
It’s one of those dark comedy statements that make me laugh, because it’s probably true. I must admit that I even asked myself this question, even though of course your entitled to your opinion.
I own two Tesla’s, and I’m thinking of getting the Cybertruck in 5 years; I’ll never go back to gas. But I think I’ll go ahead and stay subscribed for now.
Same here.
I didn't really want to tell you this, Artur, but the word is 'misproNUNciation', not misproNOUNciation'. Yes, I know I'm nitpicking and I can't speak a single word of Estonian! I'm just trying to help you with your already excellent English. And there are many English natives who make the same mistake with the word so you are not alone!
Another excellent video: keep up the good work. 👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇦🇺🇦
Holy shit, the Cybertucks and goats are coming. Pack your stuff now and run for your life Artur!
