Are you able to read off a paper during the test? I know we had to memorize it where I'm from. It's been years I have a class B and upgrading to A so I'm trying to prepare myself.

In Oregon you are allowed to use a memory aid given out by the DMV. That memory aid has a list of most of the parts that need inspecting on it, but not the criteria you need to explain while performing your inspection.

In order to obtain a CDL, you will have to go through a CDL program, due to the requirement that was put in place 2 years ago
