    Amazing Quest - Bolivia, Peru, Brazil & Chile: • Amazing Quest: Bolivia...
    00:00:00 Australia
    Off we go to the Buccaneer Archipelago, the labyrinth for pearl farmers, followed by an excursion to Mount Dare Station, a land where there is nothing but sand and rocks, and a visit to Arnhem Land, a world of its own. We meet Richard, the pearl farmer, Dave, the dependable desert guide and Simon, Russel and Otto, who live their lives according to the aboriginal traditions.
    00:51:23 The East Coast of Australia
    Darren Burns is one of the 150 aborigines that live here - on North Stradbroke Island. He tells about us what he does and what he teaches the children of the island. Then there’s Lossy Thompson, ancestor of Lord Howe - founder of Lord Howe Island. Lastly, we move further north on the Australian Continent to the Daintree rainforest where Claire Gely, entomologist, works, finishing her doctorate at the University of Brisbane.
    01:41:56 Tasmania
    In this episode we travel to Tasmania, where the Pacific and Indian Oceans meet, in the “Roaring Forties”… south of Australia.
    02:32:37 New Zealand
    The remnant of a sunken prehistoric continent, New Zealand is teeming with exuberant vegetation and the most stunning sites from the riverbeds of the Hokitika region to the exploration of “Waters of Greenstone”. We meet Peter, the paint brusher, Dave, the hunter for jade stones and Furhana, the woman living in a wild paradise.

    And that’s just part 1 of 4. This Somewhere on Earth: an unhurried look at people and places who make a difference in their part of the world. And ultimately, it makes a difference in all our lives.
    Enjoy. It’s a gorgeous trip.

    True that the Australian Aboriginals including The Tasmanian Aborigines as well as Melanesians including Torres Strait Islanders, Papuans, Micronesians, And Polynesians all had there find time to shine yet there histories are more underateted and underestimated wordly even compared to Native American And Sub Saharan African ones yeah.

    • @Philly-lq6zr
      @Philly-lq6zr 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      All jobs is slavery , I was going to mentioned the same , ,, politicians brittish royals pirates, don't care about people's jobs are risky , for slaves and pay their wages , by taxing ,,
      Corporations don't care about people's risking their life's just to steal profits, , why would a diver take a risk when they don't have visibility below waters is criminal ,,
      It all about greedy and money stealing land and pollution, inventing expense rubbish, , never been about safety of the labouring, slaves , , it all just taking and selling just to be rich , destroying land , just for money , peopkes need to be following and listen to the natives , not, the greedy white man , ,
      I rather listen to the natives , and their stories , they are more true to the land, and not about greedy money , , no expensive rubbish invented, no destroying, the land, , and living with the land, respect to the land , ,

    Arnhem Land & other Aboriginal communities are pathetic......for a culture that believes you can't own the land they sure like to posses the land and force non-Aboriginals to pay for access to land that "belongs" to the Aboriginal community. If you can't own the land then I as a non-Aboriginal Australian shouldn't have to pay or receive permission to travel threw the land.
