Tom Holland: Hopefully, people will be able to disconnect me from Spiderman and be immersed in the world of The Devil All The Time. Netflix: Here's how Arvin Russell and Peter Parker are similar to each other.
Yes, this is the second Netflix vid where they're drawing similarities between the two. Each being an orphan is where the similarities begin and end. Understandably Netflix is trying to draw in more viewers. (As if the cast isn't enough?
As weird and messed up as it sounds. I watched this with a friend and now whenever I go up to her I go “excuse me preacher got time for a dinner?” She’s even named Preacher on my phone and I’m Sinner on hers
I’m so glad that they didn’t mention Robert Pattinson was in twilight, I see a lot of what’s wrong and stupid about that franchise but I do still love it cuz along with Harry Potter and hunger games those were apart of my childhood, but I’m glad that he’s been able to make more of name for himself and isn’t just subjected to the sparkling brooding vampire Edward Cullen, I’m excited to go see this movie too, I love movies with a bunch of actors who I already know in it
I really did think they [Hollywood] would have typecast Patterson for life after Twilight but it looks like he has a good management team preventing that from happening. This was an excellent movie. I hope it gets nominated for several awards.
Me too. There are definitely the "hills have eyes" areas. But...tiny churches all over the country (including ohio of course) have some seriously disturbing "preaching" methods.
@@thepalewitchn7694 the way I gagged when I heard him saying it in the trailer... Similar to my reaction to "I'm Vengeance" in The Batman trailer. Robert is such a King! 😭

The movie was really good tom really nailed it but I don't understand what Netflix always makes Christian's look so evil this movie actually scared me to death besides that it was good though
I wish that netflix didn't have to show what's wrong with Soo many churches (and people) that say they are christian when they present NOTHING that is christ-like. It's just facts, sadly. There are way too many "Christians" that act like what this movie shows. I believe that it was Ghandi that said something to the affect of... I like your Christ but I don't like your Christians. I can absolutely get behind and believe in the stories of Jesus but I don't see a whole lot of Christians that actually try to be like Jesus.
@Heather Melissa i just don’t understand why they make actual christians look so bad like they’re the bad guys and we’re soooo evil and scary in every film they make about christians it’s like their mocking religion and labeling all of us as if this is how all of us are like
Netflix doesn't "make" them look bad, they do it themselves. How many pervs out there claim to be "holy" like that preacher, how many good girls are made to believe they're whores for getting pregnant outside of marriage or at an early age or how many of them are abused because of archaic beliefs and practices. There are a lot of good religious people in every religion but there are also many hypocritical ones.
Arvin the the atheist, who represents the devil, is the only guy that has morals in this whole movie.a really good insight into how religion controls the narrative.such an underrated and important movie.
just finished it, great thriller. spiderman, batman, alfred pennyworth (small role), pennywise, john connor (T-3000), Winter Soldier all were great. chronologically best performance were from batman, spider and then winter soldier
I want to see Tom Holland in more drama movies and thriller because he was so good. Like I want to see him in way more movies and shows that are different genres, but especially drama because he did so good. I know I'm repeating myself, but he was amazing.
Loved the movie. So many familiar scenes. The area mirrors where I was raised. The kid was my age so everything was loaded with memories. Cars, homes, forests, small towns so similar to my neighborhood.
I feel like this movie is hard to have diversity. Most of the Ohio south was white. They’re like barely in the Bible Belt but I always think white Americans when I think super religious. That’s also just movie portrayals impacting me but either way it’s a constant.

Netflix really got some of the best actors. Convince me otherwise

The fact that the reverend manages to be the worst character in a movie that has a literal serial killer honestly blows my mind
Why? Religion is evil, I'm suprised the reverend only molested women and not little kids.
