Man, this is around the last time I was truly excited for new comics. The Infinite Crisis/early 00s DC had me so freaking pumped. Morrison’s run on Batman and Final Crisis was the first nail in the coffin of the good times that were had

Both of the Big 2 had some good stuff going on, Image was starting to really get some traction, and smaller publishers were starting to pick back up too. It was a pretty decent time to be reading and collecting!

Publishers are still making good stuff today, but man...IDW, Image, Marvel, and DC were all killing it during this period. I remember picking up The Walking Dead, Fables, Infinite Crisis, and Civil war off the racks each month. Super fun time to be a reader.
