This is truly a piece of art. Its very rare but i'm so glad that even today, some clients love to incorporate elements from Mughal architecture into their homes. ❤
an incredible piece of art. I am a huge fan of sir Kamil Khan Mumtaz and i respect him a lot. he is an inspiration for me as an architecture student. his work is absolutely incredible. and not only his work but also that of all the other craftsmen. this single project shows the beauty and depth of our culture and faith. absolutely beautiful!
I must say you male architect has a great sense of knowledge . I really enjoyed their professional commentary following good ethics, not criticising giving their own suggestions. Appreciating someone's else work is an art because we are not discussing or comparing our work with them
My God such an amazing house.I must say, old mughal & traditional architectural work, Memorise the feelings of Haveli cultural, late 1800s, so happy to see this review video. I wish I could visit this architectural master piece.
You should also feature small houses like 5 Marla’s with unique design/concept. Concept like living big in a small house. These big grand houses are out of reach of most Pakistanis. Common people cannot take inspiration from these big houses. Do something for the common people and the masses.
Brother no offense meant , but the point of this video is to showcase historical architectural styles which obviously were based on massive areas of land. There is only so many ways you can utilize a 5 Marla space unless you go vertically. And everything above and beyond the basic structure costs significant money which is a scarce resource for most small home buyers.
a beautiful piece of art and Cultural showcase especially when we have become so obsessed with the modern typical architecture where no creativity is appreciated.
The two architects were talking about ventilation devices used in this residence and in middle east. They called it ‘wind tunnel’ It is actually called wind catchers And is quite commonly seen in iran in old persian architecture! It is seen classically seen in Yazd Iran
A highly imaginative project, depicting tradition blended with contemporary sensibility, ultimate in teamwork, transcendence through the anvils of history to arrive at balance between light, air, visibility and esthetics.
Magnificent, never seen such detailed before. Thanks for the virtual tour team. You have done justice to this great work. Proud of Punjab. Pls keep the great work going!
Hats off to architect, builders, artisan and owner to indulge in this project! Having said that, I could not get the feel that its a lived-in residence or a museum. It feels like a mughal theme house! The producer and presenter could not show us spaces of daily living like kitchen, bedrooms, toilets, etc. quite a bit of space was used for walkways and stairs, etc I could see the split ACs’ in a few spaces. Which means, despite wind devices used in architecture, owners felt need to use AC. The presenters were obviously heavily influenced by their respected teacher and were more than needed, involved in praising & commenting about tiny details rather than showing the whole house and show how people would live in it!
It proves how we are neglecting heritage. This craftsman ship can use in our heritage buildings to preserve this art and craftsman ship. That nation can’t prove herself cultural treasure hub on the world map until and unless she preserve heritage what it was. Rest the edifice is beyond any appreciation, it is magnificent and treasure to learn the Persian and local craftsman ship. I wonder this should be turn into cultural university which give inspiration to the students and creativity synthesis in the mind of them. Rest clap and cheers to the architect and workers to such building into reality.
After HarSukh, another master piece by KKM. Question ! how concrete coloured walls were to be made. I have seen many in Karachi heritage buildings with biege, yellow and red especially Parsi Colony houses. Please reply or share details
It’s grand it’s pretty but then it’s like show me the money and i can build a freaking Taj Mahal. Real architecture comes from the ability of an architect to build a masterpiece from bare minimum.
Its not a place to live rather an ancient museum to present rich history. M still wondering why cant these be integrated with modern housing making house stylish, simple and amazing
Kamil saab is a genius I wish big Pakistani developers focused on promoting this type of traditional architecture instead of cheap copies of egyptian, parisian, ottoman and Spanish monuments
Really loved the design philosophy of KKM but I believe its a bit overly decorated keeping in mind its functionality and practicality. The geometry and inlay work is impressive so are the muquarnas.
This is more an artwork nor a house. A house should look like a familiar design that feels a welcoming environment while this building priotizes artistic impression over a functionality and comfort, and that it doesn't feel like a welcoming home. The architect is nice but misses the feel of comfortable and inviting accommodation.
as much as I love mughal architecture and how exciting this house is, the lobby was a bit overdone, if it was only the roof and then simplicity on walls, that would be perfect
The colour schemes are not appealing. They don't come together, the individual art is beautiful but when looked at together there is no harmony amongst them. Goes to show how amazing the architects of mughal time were they have created wonders which people can't replicate even today!
This is such amazing art piece by Kamil Khan. But you guys are not surely clear about materials and elements used in. So do some homework next time before documentary. Thanks .
Sir, all the materials are traditional & local. Modern Architects are not familiar with those materials. the main reason to that is client's usually don't like these local materials.
Does Sardar Ali sahab have any son in late twenties ? I'd love to get married to him and shift to this house and full fill my dreams of living in the mughal era 🤣🥲😅❤️
These are the type of houses where when they are build with the owner the JIN"s 👻 are also happy as they have a place to live.... so they can scare the crap out of guests

you are right, we are working on those houses as well.
stay connected.

they are not selling the house.. they are viewing it with architectural point of view...your comment is foolish

Wind catchers were also very common in Hyderabad city of Sindh. Check out the old pics of Hyderabad.
Wow Wow Wow hats off to sir Lamil khan mumtaz piece of art i m speechless thanks team Banjaiga
A highly imaginative project, depicting tradition blended with contemporary sensibility, ultimate in teamwork, transcendence through the anvils of history to arrive at balance between light, air, visibility and esthetics.
could not agree more.
I would firstly commend the owner for amassing the courage to bring this project to life and then the whole team who made it a reality

All the most beautiful houses in Lahore! I wish we have such beautiful architectural designs in Peshawar and Karachi too.
The commentary by these two hosts is a state of the art architectural class in itself.
I'm glad seeing people still keeping this art alive
Kya bat ha . This house is not a house its art.
Very beautiful house. interior designs are amazing.really old is gold
کمال ھے ۔اونر کے ذوق کو سلام ۔۔
Beautiful piece of work by the architect & team. The ceilings are amazing, jharoka in the front and woodwork is simply awesome 👌

Where are the inhabitants?
Beautiful place there is some strange air almost like the sadness we witness in the Lahore qila and Bahawalpur s palaces.
we can not show the residents.
good for museum but not for living, at least for me.
Was expecting to hear Mughal e Azam movie music in the background and Anarkali to zoom in from the courtyard. Fit for delusional breaks. Enjoy.
hahaha for sure.
we will do this experiment in our upcoming project of Kamil Khan Mumtaz.
Plzz ap house naksha bhi dikhaiye taki hum bhi aisa ghar bana sake
Wow magnificent house, stunning looks, the owner must be thinking he's living in the Mughal era.
Wow
Can you cover homes in balochistan or kpk. Will be good to know about architecture from there
could you kindly share the name of the marble (gold/yellow/beige) that has been used on the wainscoting and the vendor?
Plot size ? Anyone knows. And covered square footage?

Banjaiga n Moroccan style m bhi house banaya hai😅
Really loved the design philosophy of KKM but I believe its a bit overly decorated keeping in mind its functionality and practicality. The geometry and inlay work is impressive so are the muquarnas.
If i was to live in a house like this i would feel the need to daily wear a turban with shahi khussa
😂😂

This is mor3 of a Museum than a house.
Aaj hamara standard hi itna low ho chuka hai keh hamein yeh masterpiece museum aur hamarey modern ghar, ghar lagtey hain.
how we contact with kamil khan sahib

Is this hertiage property or completely built from scratch?
this is completely built from scratch.
Excellent jabardast aaj bhi aise gher ban sakte hai agar India me koi service provide kar sakte hai to zaroor bataiye
zabardast not jabardast.
It’s a great design and overall quality of work is v good but why are the outside walls all chipping off ?!!
❤
Is this cocktail meant to be a museum...If this is residence where is the living area?
There are 5 bedrooms, but they show you only the lounge and other places.
Can someone from the Banjaiga please share the size of the plot and the total cost of construction?
Its a 2 Kanal plot, cost unknown.

in 2016
It started in 2009 completed in 2021

Alizeh meant, Wind Catchers!!
How big is this house?
Excellent program but too much jargon
Bedroom kha hai
There are 5-bed rooms not shown in the video.
Sir is this affordable or not ?
considering the current inflation.
this craft is expensive.
Does Sardar Ali sahab have any son in late twenties ? I'd love to get married to him and shift to this house and full fill my dreams of living in the mughal era 🤣🥲😅❤️
Hahahaha I really hope they respond
My nephew is only 18y 😀

اس پلاٹ کا سائز کیا ہے ۔ ؟
Two Kanals. It's my younger brother's hose.
This looks like tomb
Come on architects you couldn't resolve the mold problem?
This is not mould. This is how lime looks as time passes and this is the beauty of lime. Kindly do some research.

I agree
Still not close to 500-600 year old mughal building made with no steel no autocad no cement no modern machinery
sir this particular house is made without all those things.
no steel, cement, paint, or any other industrial material.
FYI no steel and no cement used.
