The batteries are white because they're color matched.. the blue Chromecast had blueberries the pink Chromecast had pink batteries... It's not because they're just generic batteries
Yeah, figured the color was by design I just thought it was interesting how they literally say nothing on them. The most "blank" batteries I've ever seen
Still waiting for this to launch in UK (this week), but heard the Hazel colour is USA-exclusive Google Store, hope not, I'd only buy one if we can get it in Hazel, the porcelain white goes with nothing I own! I wouldn't pay full price though, it's very underpowered still and the lack of microSD and/or extra USB for storage is a missed opportunity.. and as for WiFi5.. seriously Google, WTF?! Still, as I've got some Google Store credit, might give it a go.
Sold out already? Wow. $99 seems like a fair price. You CAN get cheaper options but Google "quality" is a thang. Especially with the smarthome hub built-in
@@TechItBeforeYouWreckIt My friends in the UK ordered it today as some were able to get it and other said it was sold out. We had pre-orders here in the U.S.
For sure! If the TV is a few years old then the Google TV hardware is going to be a few years old too. Not sure how good sony is about pushing out OS updates?
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that open the box upside down LOL Great video.
Right? I thought I was crazy... LOL!!!

Yeah the blue Chromecast comes with blueberries that you can eat X3
Mine is arriving today. So, we'll see.
Awesome! Hope you love it!
WOW, no HDMI cable. Nice vid though.
Think they should include that? I have SO many HDMI cables. Lol
So what processor does it officially have?
Same Mediatek MT8696 as Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max from 2023, double RAM and storage 😬
@@WiiNV I thought that's what they were saying but wasn't sure.
I've seen those reports but Google hasn't officially revealed which processor they used. We'll have to wait for a teardown
Dose it support NTFC With a USB-C HUB?
Good question - I don't have a hub to test it out!!! Perhaps someone else out there has one?
I like your man cave. We should be friends!!!
No HDMI cable. It's big stuff up by Google.
No HDMI cable - I guess I'll have to find one of the 50 cables I have hidden somewhere in my home
@@TechItBeforeYouWreckItand it needs to be an HDMI 2.1 cable

I agree... There are really good alternative options at this price. Nvidia shield is still one of the best.
I think it was released today and it sold out
I like how people said it cost too much but yet it sold out instantly.

Hi, I have a Sony Top TV with Google TV at home, do you think this Google TV Streamer could be useful to me?
Thanks for your reply :)
