Boxing is such a peaceful art. It’s a weird thing, but anyone who’s been under those lights, in that squared circle knows what I mean. All you see is dark around you, and your opponent, all you feel is the warmth of the lights above you, all you hear is the crowd in the background, you may hear your family screaming your name or whatever, and then “DING”…. Everything goes quiet. It’s just you and your opponent. It’s almost like an outer body experience that first fight. It’s so fast, you don’t feel anything, and all that hard work you put in; all those drills, all that repetition, all that roadwork, all that sparring, all that grueling pain you put your body through to prepare for war…. All for that one day, that one moment.. that moment is finally there… Your body just takes over and you understand why training is so important.. why pad-work and jump roping is so important.. you understand why shadow boxing is so important.. it’s all muscle memory and your mind and body just goes into this autopilot, zen full, state.. it’s like a peaceful storm.. it’s weird.

Just fighting in general for some people…you don’t think you just do…everything slows down just a little bit…Your eyes process information faster so does your brain…You don’t got time to think about anything else that gives you anxiety or doubt cause your survival depends on your focus being 100%. You think with your subconscious, don’t feel much or anything, you don’t show pain, you just do…A lot of people can’t turn that switch on and turn their brains off like that…People with this ability are the real dangerous people in the world, because we’re comfortable with being uncomfortable and conscious while doing it..

I believe that it will naturally develop overtime. He has skills, power, movement and gets busy on the inside. 147lbs should be his once Bud and Spence fight and vacate the undisputed title.

My favorite thing about the whole fight is the way Ennis controlled his celebration and was visibly, GENUINELY concerned about Sergei and even went back several times after being stopped by the ring officials before finally being allowed to check on his fallen opponent.
PURE CLASS, and I can’t wait to see the summits this man ascends in his career. 🏔️🙌🏼

The Ref got the knockdown wrong, in the end is telling Ennis stop making all that noise your using up to much energy just bite down on your mouth piece and fight. The Ref don't know what he's talking about.
