People have to acknowledge that lateral movement, whether they think it is “running” or cowardly or boring, is a big part of boxing, and that their favorite fighters are going to have to deal with it at some point. If they aren’t ready to have the correct footwork to nullify the movement, and then they run into someone who’s exceptional at setting traps off their movement, your favorite fighter will either lose or look bad. There are clear examples of how to stop someone from moving so much. It is a technique unto itself that can be improved upon

tyzone1103 he didn’t “force” ennis into his range, ennis forced himself into range to try to impose a situation where maybe a fucking punch or two could be thrown by either fighter. How did he “force the taller fighter into his range” and for what purpose? He wasn’t baiting counters, he wasn’t jabbing, he wasn’t throwing punches at all. He wasn’t even trying to win any rounds, he came survive. He came to desperately avoid a range where a punch could be thrown or landed. He’s an absolute staple in Ukrainian track and field, and is an easy pick to bring back gold in the next Olympics. And you don’t know shit about boxing
Thats some crazy footwork from CHUKKACHAN. He's got more bounce and light to his feet than crawford. I haven't really seen a guy with feet like CHUK. Those dudes in them countries train very different. I think Jaron learned a lot from this fight.
im glad another person realizes this. This fight was not easy for Chuck, Ennis had a 6 inch reach advantage and trying to get on the inside is very difficult against a long reaching power puncher. If Chuck let his hands go he would've made this a fight, he had a lot of openings and angles.

Everybody that’s says boxers that use footwork are running… get in the ring with some of the hardest/technical punchers in the world with your feet planted and see how long you stay up.
Boots has extensive amateur career, father and two brothers(ex fighters) in his corner, countless rounds of sparring and 30 pro fights, and he couldn't cut-off the ring on a mover?😂 He doesn't have the IQ to eff with Bud. Leave that boy from Nebraska alone, he'll get stopped.
easy to say that when you aint in the ring
not saying he beats bud but hope you realize how much easier it is to not get stopped if all you do is focus on defense ... there’s a reason why karen didn’t win a round
Same could be said for Canelo vs charlo ain't much to do when the opponent running that's just goes to show you Don't have common sense let alone any intellect on boxing your opinions all based on emotion's nothing actually logical lol
@jayyyyy6088 LOL. No emotions involved, we talking Boxing. You double, triple jab, step to your guy not follow him around like Boots did. He loaded his shots instead of throwing combinations to slow his movements. The great ones like Chavez can figure guys out in 12 rounds, but this dude couldn't. The commentators wanted Enid to lose so bad every time the other guy through a punch they announced it but he was running the whole fight lol
They all had Ennis ahead from start to finish. They made a big deal out of Karen’s punches cause when he let his hands go he was landing. They were only taking him up in those first 5 rounds or so cause he throwing back. He wasn’t doing any real damaging but he was definitely landing. After the 6th all they talked about out was how awesome and dominating Ennis was.

I get so pissed of watching a guy with such good movement and making his opponent miss but not taking advantage of the angles...not letting his punches go...this Ukraine guy could have easily won if he wanted to.
