- Following the release of BEYONCÉ, Beyoncé spoke to fans and answered a few questions sent via Instagram at an SVA Directors Screening of the album on December 12th, 2013 in New York City.

I love seeing Beyonce talk about this album. You can tell how proud she is of it. And you can tell that this was something SHE did and was in control of 100%. And I think it sends a strong message to girls and women. Regardless of if you like Beyonce or her music the fact that she put out something she had 100% control of and is PROUD of...I mean isn't that what we all want to strive towards? And even though Beyonce is this big superstar she's still this shy somewhat introverted woman who probably is not a fan of public speaking like many people myself included. When she's on stage she's PERFORMING so it's different. Anyway I love this album!!
I guess this is why it's self-titled. That's not Beyoncé the pop singer, that's Beyoncé Knowless. The real her. This album is the true her. Art.

Wow i admire female artists who take control of their careers like that not just their artistic vision but also the financial aspect. Morr artists need to realize that once you have a solid fanbase u dont need to be giving any record company huge portions of your hardearned profits!! U can do it on your own!!

I love what you did. The whole DIY approach. More artists in your tax bracket need to be doing the same thing, they will forever be owing the label and bound by the labels limitations when it pertains to the art they release. Thanks for doing it the way that you did. It is very Admirable. I also agree with a young lady in the comments below. You are speaking now a days with a lot more freedom, you look very relaxed like a load has been lifted from you, and you aren't thinking too hard about how you will answer questions.
