I am in awe on how you repaired that ceramic Christmas tree! I had to watch, rewind, watch and rewind to find any differences and I could not! Beautiful job!
You are one talented lady. The one set of salvage pieces looked like swans. The tree turned out prefect, but my favorite was the basket with the paper wreath. That is so beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend. 😊❤
Awesome pieces! Even my hubby was impressed! Loved all the wood pieces and how some got a lot of change and some minimal. Just right. Thank you for sharing your process. 🤗
I love “repair” episodes. It was like watching my dad. He used match sticks to fill in the hole so that he could “rebuild” things . I like to use the clay to repair too! I fixed a set of “courting frogs” for my parents. One of the feet had fallen off. When I was able to match the paint, I felt so good!
Oh, oh, oh…. The incredible, DELICIOUS architectural pieces…🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 What a great decision to paint the windows ….. fabulous! What an amazing TRUNK too ! Another drooling video! 🧡🧡🍂🍁🍂🧡🧡
I rescue broken things, too. And that includes dogs that others don't want. They are all treasures. Just need someone to recognize the potential and love them back to what they can be. Thanks, Yvonne.
It was very impressive to see how you repaired the broken items and brought new life to the others! I am learning so many techniques... Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience! 😊
Great repair! You can’t tell it was broken! Aw that goat is precious! Bc all of the arches came out so very pretty! Oh I love your hymnal wreath on that tobacco basket!❤ Those wooden pieces are sublime! Thank you for sharing your fixes!❤
The reason the black-and/or white works so well is because no matter what color scheme your customer has, it’s gonna go in with their decor. Very smart ❤
oh my i was garage sale shopping today i found a sheep i immediately thought of you and i bought that sheep i couldnt help myself hahaha i found so many goodies today i was glad because it was a wet miserable day it kept people away i think and i got to pick the cream of the crop at the 3 sales we went to one was a church rummage sale one the lady just gave me a lot of good crafting supplies for free i was wow ok i can always use that kind of stuff she was so nice
This is a great reason why you should not throw things out before trying to fix them, beautiful job on the Christmas tree and the rest of the treasures!!
I always love how you see the value and things. Too many people throw out things and don't see that there's an easy way to fix it and make it beautiful. Thanks for helping to save the planet😊
I am the same on some things. I will fix them. We have used the toothpick thing. You did a phenomenal job on the horns and the Christmas tree. Loved the Arches. We can never find a screw driver around here. I have been doing some tidying up and found about 15 of them. I found two with old wooden handles. I am going to mount them to some barn wood for display.
Wow Awesome job on the Christmas tree and the little horns! I think you could fix a vinyl LP record that was broke in a hundred pieces and make it play beautifully again. TFS Loved everything in today's video.
Another great video of makeovers. The toothpick trick is something new I learned. 😊 The arches and the fix on the ceramic tree were my favorite. I’m always learning something new from you. I don’t think there’s anything that you and Chris can’t fix or refurbish. ❤😊
I do the same thing. If something is broken or needs a little fix I’ll buy it anyway n sometimes I’ll get it cheaper. I think you did a super job on the Christmas tree n ram. It’s kinda fun doing it that way. At least for me. Oh my, what a great imagination you did on the arches. They definitely look like they’ve sat around for years aging. The other salvage pieces were good looking too. I think I need to order the white milk paint. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟
Absolutely LOVE the swan like decorative pieces, they are beautiful, a long with the last two pieces, so lovely!!! Thanks for helping me see the beauty inside a beast. Your ability to see beyond the ugly duckling to the beautiful swan is just amazing! And I hope to be able to do the same one day. xx
I love the aged architectural elements! There's a little cottage store up the street from me and it's so weird that people go there to shop the door is open, and they want you to pick out what you want and put money in the mailbox they provide for you. You would have a field day there because there is so much. There are doors and windows and old door knobs. And I feel so weird going there when there's nobody there. I'm just going to have to do it and see what happens.
Really good pieces to work with. You are so good with the dirty everything they really do look old. I really don't think anyone could tell they weren't. So many I would love to have. Chick, ya know your stuff. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah
After fixing that black swan the Christmas tree must have seemed easy! I was able to fix a friend's Buddha statue after watching that video. Yvonne I have started using the Antiquing Glaze after watching you, and agree it's a great product.
I have a cermac woman whose upper arm has a rather big chip in it. I've thought about repairing her like you did with this Christmas tree. Thank you for showing us how to repair these pieces.
It is amazing how you make everything look so good. Would love to see you do something with black chippy milk paint. You briefly mentioned and haven't seen anything done with the black. God Bless.
I love these videos that show how you fix things. I love watching you paint…you make it look so easy. I haven’t tried milk paint yet but you’re tempting me😂. Was so glad I got to visit with you at your antique booth yesterday.. it made my day!!
BEAUTIFUL SAVE on the Christmas tree! 🌲 The "toothpick fix" Chris used was an excellent idea on that chest...never heard of it but glad I saw it on your site! 😎 Mixing the two paint colors was an awesome idea, Yvonne. Just another "notch" on your creative belt! 😻Love how you "aged" the tobacco basket...the wreath found a perfect home! 🏡 Do you personally check the inventory in your various booths or do you trust the the sales tickets or advice of the owner of the Antique Mall? Thanks for sharing your techniques and for answering my questions. Bless you & Chris! 💜
We are lucky that the antique mall we are at gives us a daily check of what sold that day( via email) but we do go and do physical checks weekly.. keeping our booths tidy. Restocking.. always trying to make it look it’s best. It’s also good to change and move things around.. giving it that” fresh look”
I have my grandma's Christmas tree and the top of it is broken also. It is packed away for the season but next year I am going to fix it. Thanks for sharing the repair
Your "salvage" finds arches turned out incredible Your green and blue mixed paInt looks to me like teal. Gorgeous color in any event. I always put hanging hardware on my pieces. They sell much better than if i leave them as shelf sitters. People in my area don't buy shelf sitters! Question: when you put repaired items in your booth (like the tree), do you put that on the price tag?
Wow! Isn’t it crazy how we can make DIY/Flipping life so much harder than it needs to be?? These turned out beautifully! I just received a new shipment of milk paint, I bought a non pigment one because why not…. How do I use it???? 😂
I wonder if you could do the dry brush layered technique would work on old wood paneling that is in my house… Would you recommend that? Would you sand first or put a sealer first then start? I’d like it to be lighter. I am not in a position to replace it right now and there is nothing wrong with it. What do you think? What would you do?
I been in alot of.old homes in West Virginia and your pieces look exactly like I've seen aged and painted over time. How did you come up with this process? The tobacco basket and wreath was perfect. How do you price a piece like that?
Question, how much did you actually sell it for? And how much did the stuff you used to fix it with cost. How much more money goes into supplies than what you actually profit?
I am in awe on how you repaired that ceramic Christmas tree! I had to watch, rewind, watch and rewind to find any differences and I could not! Beautiful job!
Thank you so much!
That tree fix was inconceivable. You are a magician.
The church windows were beautiful. Sometimes, a small repair can make a difference! TFS. 😊❤
You are one talented lady. The one set of salvage pieces looked like swans. The tree turned out prefect, but my favorite was the basket with the paper wreath. That is so beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend. 😊❤
Thank you so much!
Oh, the swans! Mwah! And the arches! The just sanded pieces. I can see them all in my house. Amazing creativity.
You’ve really upped your game with refurbishing wooden things. The Christmas tree was a great fix, well done!
I would have passed that tree up, now I know they can be repaired. Love those pieces that looked like swans. Love all your videos.
