Hallo Ruud. Wat een prachtige video en supermuziek erbij. Ik twijfel tussen TC Equinox en Happy Life. Het mooiste rif heeft mijn voorkeur. Ik vrees alleen dat dit in Marsa Mubarak is, waar talloze boten voor anker gaan om te jagen op de zeekoe. Kan je me even hieromtrent toelichten a.u.b.? Groetjes.

Hi Ruud, sorry as I explained My comment on the duggog video was in fact a comment about this video whitch is toatlly amazing. Si here you used the nikon coolpix.
What is different with the TG6 you used in the other video ? I also have a TG6 but I always use gopro. Do you shoot also with gopro, what is the difference for you. The quality is really great with the nikon coolpic, very surprised ;-). How do you make your fish close up please ? when you get close usually fish leave .... or do you zoom with the nilkon please ? Thanks again great videai. Makes me want to go to the Equinox !

Oh wow, what amazing footage. Was that all at Three Corners Equinox Marsa? I am planning to visit Egypt in June but have not as yet booked hotel, so looking for best snorkeling from shore?
Thank you. Yes this is all recorded in the house reef of TTC Equinox. From the beach you just walk into the sea or you enter the sea from the jetty.

Dolphins were mostly between North reef and the "round reef" and at the end of the Jetty in open water. Also around the underwater reef 100 meter east from the " round reef.

Hoi Ruud, wat een mooie video. Beetje raar vraagje ik wil erheen met mijn gehandicapte zoon met eetprobleem. Is er ook patat, kip enzo. Of alleen maar salades?

The whole video is from the house reef. I saw the sea cow at several spots in front of the hotel and jetty.

Amazing video!!! I love it. Just a question: Have you been to Lahamy Bay? We are going to Marsa Alam in April and we don't know where to stay. We are between Three Corners or Lahami Bay.
Thank you. I don't know Lahami Bay. I'm very pleased with Three Corners Equinox. Friendly staff, good food. Splended house reef with various marine life as you can see in the video. Snorkeling in a bay, noord reef, south reef and round reef with deep part at the east side and shallow side at the west side.
Thanks for the beautiful video. I'm interesting - where the octopuses were filmed? We didn't find the area with "industrial artefacts" were the octopuses were "walking". Are there a season when octopuses come next to Equinox beach? Or they could be viewed any time?

The octopuses were filmed right in front of the beach. Between the entry along the balloons and the left side of the Jetty. The 'industrial artefacts' as you call it are the remainings of some parasols that flowed into the sea with a muddy stream a few years ago. These are located about 15 meters off the coast in front of the white building where you can get drinks and have toilets (I think its called Ali Baba).
The ink spraying and moray attack was at the large orange buoy (20 meters to the right of the red buoy).
You can spot octopuses all year round, but as I filmed it from the beginning of December to the end of January.
The ink and mating part was filmed during the first two weeks of December.

Hallo Ruud, Thank you very much for the quick response. Me and my wife had snorkeled at Equinox that time. Your respond had given us an assurance we are looking for octopuses at the right place (including "before breakfast" time) but they just not came :-) Yes, it would be too much luck to spot the octopuses in just a week, it has normally required a lot of time and efforts :-). Again - great thanks for your quick answer and apologize for my late reaction.

This is all in front of the hotel and beach. From the beach left around the red balloon. Right side of the jetty in the morning before the kite surfers start. Left side of the jetty. Around the reef at the end of the jetty. Also at the underwater reef about 100 meters east from the round reef and at open sea. Mostly filmed between 6.00 - 8.30h.

Bedankt voor de video, ziet er fantastisch uit. In december gaan mijn partner en ik ook naar dit resort. Heb jij nog tips over de beste tijd/plek om te gaan snorkelen?

Hallo Mayke, dank je.
In december zou je veel octopussen kunnen zien. De meeste opnamen van deze video zijn vroeg in de ochtend gemaakt. Zelf snorkel ik vanaf zonsopgang, voor de lunch en 's middags. Steeds Zo'n 2 á 3 uur.
In december raad ik wel een shorty of pak aan, zeker als je wat langer in het water bent. Rond 16.00/16.30u valt de schemering in en wordt het donker.
Je kunt vanaf het strand de zee in en linksaf voorlangs het hotel, vanaf de steiger om het ronde rif en voor ongeveer 9.30u rechts van de steiger bij de grasvelden. Dit laatste is het vaargebied van de kite- en windsurfers en als zij varen mag je daar niet snorkelen.
Als je je aanmeldt bij bv de facebookpagina's Fans Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort of Vrienden van Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort, kun je ook tips en ervaringen vinden.
Als je daar mijn naam in de zoekregel typt kun je meer berichten met foto's, video's en tips vinden.

@@Snorkellovers you can explore the oval reef at the end of the Jetty. You can snorkel around it. At the outside it is deeper and more diverse marine life to spot. Also the North reef in front of the hotel (After enter the Sea from the Beach go to the left). You can scroll my answers here for more tips.

De dolfijnen zijn vlak voor het hotelstrand gefilmd. Daar de zeekoe zich ook vaak ophoudt.
