  • 0:00 Step 1: Desolder Cable
1:53 Step 2: Remove end plug
    2:34 Step 3: Remove insulation
    6:55 Step 4: Sleeve paracord
9:48 Step 5: Attach end plug
12:43 Step 6: Crimp on pins
17:01 Step 7: Solder on detach piece
    17:52 Step 8: Place pins
    18:34 Step 9: Zip tie
I made this tutorial for people who don't like the sleeving process with traditional paracording. I personally like this method more cause I can't really seem to do regular sleeving very quickly.
Also every mod has detachable cable mod with this method which I like more for modding and is also more easily customizable for the end user.

I’ve paracorded 5 or so controllers and for the most recent one, I used your triwing technique for the sleeving and I will never not use this method again. Saved so much time. Thanks!

This is really great! Every other time I've seen this, I've only thought "Yeah, I could never do that." This makes me think I could do it! Thanks man.

This has been the best and cleanest paracord tutorial I have ever seen on this platform! Very well done! I will soon get on modding gamecube controllers myself and this is going to be the tutorial that I will follow.

Great job! I would like to buy the tri-wing bit you are using but I can't find it on Amazon or anywhere. A search for tri-wing screwdrivers brings up vast results (mostly screwdrivers with handles attached. Could you please add a link to where you got it? Thanks a bunch.

Wow i think clamping the paracord under the metal at the cable end and cutting the wire at all is overkill.
No hate tho! This still looks clean in the end, so keep it up.✌️

I overheated the pads and I have nothing to solder the wires to anymore. Any advice on how to solder directly to traces?
