Amazing video Brian. A lot of back to basics thinking and how FL is our “special” project. Still learning after 20-years in AC industry.

Incredible video. Most techs I’ve met don’t even view high humidity levels and mold in the ducts as a problem. It’s sad how many times I’ve had to explain to people’s usual “HVAC guy” over the phone that just because you see something often doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem.

🙌🏻 My Man! I am with you 💯 on your statement about just because we see it all the time doesn’t mean it’s not an issue…

Well here in South San Diego at this time of year, our mitsubishi multizone mini-splits are not condensing. Each head is blowing below 50 degrees F.
🤷‍♂️I guess because humidity is 12%
Thank you for the class 👍. I will keep this in mind for when things are sweating and condensation is happening.

In eastern Pa we spray foam the boots in on the attic side. It insulates and seals. I don’t know if this technique would work in Florida.

I have a ABS refrigerator making a noise on startup and not cooling below 41 degrees. What should I check? Thanks!

Someone needs to make a high humidity air handler with a built in sub cooler, I bit of reheat to lower the supply air relative humidity, plus the added evaporator capacity would be a really nice combo for high humidity locations.

in early 90s tranes fix for sweating air handlers in the attic was to put heat lamps on the air handler. i mean it worked but didnt actually fix the real issue. lol
